I live in CT and don't want to go through the long process of getting a firearm just yet, and I want something that I could be able to take innawoods for protection against animals. Would a pistol crossbow with 80 poundage be good?

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but Since nearly all modern infantry tactics revolve around deployment and use of machine guns and grenades, what are the best small unit tactics when machine guns or hand grenades are not available?

Hello /k/, Texasfag here, I have been slowly saving up and now looking for my first purchase for my Home Defense, Nighstand piece, whathaveyou.

I have been told a few things and would more opinions and input, and hopefully be steered into the right direction.

I will have a budget between 500-700 depending on what gunshow or if I do a police-trade in to a store.

I have fairly large hands, palm being about 4.5 inches and finger being 2.5-3.75 respectively, so roughly 7.5 combined. Fingers are narrow, I don't have fat hands or fingers.

So far the glock site told me to go with a gen4 of 17, 19, 21.

My friend suggested a 23, and I have also been suggested to a CZ (not sure which make or model, just a CZ in general).

I am not a materialist or bragger so I just want something reliable and efficient, looks mean little to me.

I am also between the choice of 9mm, 40. s&w, and 45. acp. So I would like some insight as to what would be better for me, as someone who probably won't be shooting at ranges or ranches all too often.

My main goal is protection for myself and family, and the occasional, range or ranch targets.

I hope I have provided enough info as to what would accomadate me best.

I have to drive from GA to DC for a meeting. It's my understanding that I'm not allowed to bring my gun into DC even though I have a Georgia Weapons License.

It goes against my better instincts to be on a trip like that without a weapon. I'm going to be in a federal building for a day full of meetings and workshops connected to my field.

Can I leave my gun at a police station or something? I want to be able to carry when I'm going through SC, NC, and VA. I don't want to have the secret service take me to big boy jail because I went to the casa blanca with my rooty tooty point and shooty. I don't feel like bringing my gun and breaking federal law.

I definitely cannot carry into the building that I am going into. It's an executive office building let's just say that.

What's going on /k/ I need some help with my rifle. It's a Norinco SKS I got from a gun show this past weekend. Everything on it works fine, I just want to take off the trigger guard to replace the magazine. I'm pressing on the little button it has but i can't seem to get it to pop open. Any suggestions? Or am I fucked in that regard

Does /k/ actually like TFB TV? Everyone I have talked to says he is definitely one of the most unreliable and boring "gun youtubers" out there. I watched a few of his list videos and I have to say most of them are /pol/ tier shit spewing.
