Is this when he doesn't save the guy from being stabbed?
>>
>>30994546
Yeah

Oddly enough, the German soldier just walks past him afterwards, and doesn't do anything
>>
>>30994513

I'd do the same thing, look after yourself first. Only neverserveds think they would save their buddies in combat.

Hi. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am new here. Are there any uses for melee weapons in modern warfare? Like bayonet charges or something? The reason I am asking is because sandniggers still seem to legit carry swords to battle. Is it just because they look metal?

Kill a gunman with a gun? Meh.
Kill a gunman with a sword? Badass.
>>
>>30994140
it is because they are fundamentalist. they put much emphasis on tradition. and, traditionally they fought with swords and beheaded their enemies.

and no, anything beyond a combat knife does not have any real practical application in modern warfare.

Starting to get surface rust on K31 bolt, how do I fix this?
>>
coat it lightly with oil or a gun-specific solvent and let it sit for a moment, then go at it with the abrasive part (the coarse, green part. You know, the ones you use to do the dishes) of a sponge. The bolt is not blued and surface-hardened for the most part, so you shouldn't worry too much about scratching it.
Also, coat it liiightly with Waffenfett or oil before putting it away to prevent this from happening again.

Since zombie knives are going to be completely illegal to sell or buy in the Uk from Thursday.

Me being a knife lover, especially the cheap ones with a great quality. I'd like to get one, so my question to you is...

If i order a zombie knife (Soon to be illegal in the UK) and the knife is scheduled to come in around 20 days, will i still get the knife or will it be stopped at customs?

Tar.

Before you ask, no i'm not a fat fedora wearing faggot, as i've seen on another Zombie Knives post. Just a guy who loves his knives.

Is this Gew. 95 worth restoring? I already have a excellent condition 1916 Mauser Gew. 98. My wife bought me this thinking I would want it, she paid $75 for it however:

>moderate surface rust
>barrel had more rust in it than I have ever seen
>there is still rifling in the barre
>stock is broken in half
>missing bolt
>trigger assembly is broke
>rust inside the chamber and channel where bolt runs

A replacement bolt and stock will be about $250 but given the condition I'm just not sure it's worth it.

>>30992923
Just needs enough Blue Wonder to soak the Marine Corps' rifles in, you should be good to go.

The rifling in the barrel is pretty impressive considering the state of rust you're describing.
>>
>>30992934
I couldn’t see through the barrel originally. When I looked down it it was dark. I dont want to reblue or refinish it. Just replace the broken parts with original shit.

I already own a 9mm handgun for concealed carry and I don't really hunt. Still I want to expand my collection with some kind of long gun.

Is there any real reason to get a rifle over some kind of shotgun? Aside from plinking.
13 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
>>30992765
I'd lean more towards a shotgun if you had some HD obsession or planned to get into some fun shotgun sports. Seriously, skeet, trap and sporting clays are fun as all hell.
Otherwise, I think there's more usefulness from a rifle overall, especially if you do live outside of the city where you can reach out and touch things a bit more.
>>
>>30992765
For cool fun factor a 1897 repro trench gun, fun, loud, good price. Ammo 25c a shot.

For long gun plinking, 22.

For just fun shooting outdoors, black powder. Cheap to shoot, get intimate with weapon. Super cool.
>>
>>30992858
.22 rifles really worth it? Seems like a hell of a lot of gun for something without much heat.

I find 556 to be the most boring of the intermediates to fire and watch hit downrange, and 762x39 the most fun by far since it's 30cal and has pretty decent power behind it.
And I find the AR to be the most boring gun to fire on top of that. The AR has tons of things I love about it, but it just doesn't translate into actual fun for me for some reason. I can't explain, and it bugs the shit out of me that I can't enjoy an AR. I hate missing out on what other people like.
Also, 556 annoys me because it melts through my nice hard steel backstops like butter. Even steel cored 54r brushes off and leaves a half-flattened steel core nearby in the dirt.
And I'd look into a vz58(no I didn't say vz2008) too before you automatically settle on an sks 100%. I have both, love both, but the vz58 is the nicest gun of the 762x39 world IMO.

No /pol/-tier answers please.

Europoor here
Getting guns is pretty hard here (Belgium)
First: yes, in a few months I will go to a shooting club, do my exams and get my licence to buy a real gun (9mm kaliber pistol)

But since it's hard to get a real rifle here, I want to buy a pellet gun for a decent price (it's not for self defense or anything, that's what the pistol is for)

https://www.shogun.nl/luchtdruk/geweren/crosman/crosman-phantom.html
https://www.dicks.nl/gamo-delta-4-5mm-luchtbuks-richtkijker-kogeltjes.html

I found these two, the Gamo Delta looks pretty China-tier

>inb4 buy a wooden one
I want to but they are expensive for just a pellet gun

Why is carrying a hammer-fired pistol in single-action with no external safety considered super unsafe and taboo, even in modern times where every pistol has a firing pin block? Why should I carry my P2000 cocked? The trigger pull's even longer than that of a Glock or P320, but I'd be looked at as a lunatic if I walked around like this.

Can someone explain the cognitive dissonance here? Why is cocked and unlocked the norm for striker-fired pistols and full-retard for hammer fired pistols? Functionally they're identical.

>considered super unsafe and taboo, even in modern times where every pistol has a firing pin block?

The issue is not dumb dumbs dropping their guns, the issue is dumb dumbs sticking their booger hooks near the bang switches.

Dumb dumbs are dumb and we can't stop the dumb dumbs from buying guns because it goes against our principles, so what do we do?

We try to convince dumb dumbs not to buy and carry firearms around town with hair triggers.

You mean the firing pin block that engages when you turn on the safety?
