I just machined my first 80% lower, and I kinda fucked up... I ended up drilling slightly too deep for the rough cut. Will the lower still work ok? I know the trigger spring sits along the bottom of that channel, but are the holes enough to mess that up? I'm not sure if I should go ahead and start building this up or if I should just suck it up and buy another 80% lower.
What do you /k/rackers think?

I'm close to ordering pic related.
However, I feel like I can't justify any threat enough to need a PC. There will never be some amazing SHTF scenario, and even if there was it would probably just draw unwanted attention. And if my home is invaded I'm not going to take the time to put this on rather than grabbing a pistol and going out. If anything, it's more of just a hobby purchase to slowly build up.

Watched the Century RAS-47 torture test. At the end, it seemed like the rifle was beat to shit, but still worked. Robski detested the rifle.
Watched the Arsenal SLR 107 video, and the tone was completely different.

The whole IO thing is starting to settle down but (aside from shooting themselves in the foot by even replying to his video) it seems like there is bias in the videos.
Are the Century and IO AKs REALLY that bad? It seems like everyone memes "don't buy them" but their only info is from the torture test (which, again, seems biased).
I'm a Walmart warrior. I don't know much about guns, and if I'm lucky I get to shoot once every two months in the PRNJ so I am sure this guy knows a ton more than me, but this stood out and was wondering what some of you (more knowledgeable) folks think.
