I got an AR-15, a full-size handgun, a nice compact handgun, a semi-auto shotgun, and some level 4 ceramic armor. I was thinking about buying something else kind of soon. /k/ got any recommendations? I was looking to spend around $1k to $2k, not much more, maybe less if anyone can think of anything I should get. I was thinking a Ruger American in 300 Win Mag, or some other similar heavy caliber.

What states are going to stay friendly to firearm owners? If Hitlary wins and pulls off some ridiculous assault on the 2A or somehow gets a nationwide AWB in place, what states do you think will not comply, becoming a redoubt state for serious gun owners to move to?

Recently acquired a farmhouse from an uncle who passed away. A few days ago around 3 am some junkie vagrants started throwing burning wood around the fields and property. I didnt have a weapon so i called the cops but they took awhile to get there and when they did the junkies disappeared into the woods surrounding the fields and house.
Im afraid that theyre bound to return.
What gun would you recommend?
I am thinking maybe a shotgun but i dont trust the walmart brands. Im thinking something with range i dont want to risk getting out of the house in the darkness.

From what I know you use piston for short barrel/pistol style ARs.
Piston work better in short barrels than gas does. It also helps keep the stuff clean.

What are some stupid or impractical guns that you want anyway?
I'd love to have some of the weirdo revolvers, like the MTR-8 and the Unica-6. Though the only realistically obtainable weirdo revolver is the Chiappa Rhino, the others are rare and expensive.

Well, I went out and got a Desert Eagle.
I started with a .44 Magnum model, then got a .50AE barrel and .357 Magnum barrel for it. I've also bought carry gear for the Damn thing. I have a two different belt slide holsters, a snap off belt holster, double and single mag pouches, a shoulder rig and a paddle holster.
I admit it's silly, but I.enjoy the Hell out of the gun. I still want to get 10" barrels for each caliber.

Werhaboo here. ATI announces MP40 replica in 9mm is coming to US finally, MSRP $650. Half excited bcuz I've always wanted MP40 , but this is mechanically not even close to the real thing. Looks like it mostly, feels like it, shoots the 9mm, reasonable price for a niche item such as ww2 replica goes.
What are your thoughts on it tho? Part of me says its just a little poopoo gun encased in a MP40 shell.. I used to daydream of getting an MP40 kit and using an 80% receiver from Philadelphia Ordinance and making a semi version using real parts, but obviously that is something that would cost several thousand and impractical, no guarantee that it wont be a giant waste of $$.. so if i want an MP40 and not shell out the equivalent of a small car for it, this is my only hope.
Thoughts?

Mechanically it can't be close to the real thing. German 9mm was a super hot load. So to fire properly from a closed bolt(I assume) without crazy 9mm loads it would have to change.
