I am aware of the MEG thread
Hello all I read the 09S contract, now then as I have read it it is 3 years active duty and 8 years IRR or reserve competent correct?
next my plans are quite simply I wish to be local police, (State or otherwise) I am aware military service is essential in these regards and am happy to serve the three years active, then the rest of my life as reservist. which branch better represents myself to a perspective police department, its between MP and intelligence.
You sound like Cole Phelps.
You active, reserve, or guard?
MP is gonna be a lot easier to get into than MI. When I went toganhrough OCS everyone competed for it because it's a cushy job.

>I am aware of the MEG thread
>But I'm not going to use it because I'm a special snowflake who needs special snowflake handholding
If you're interested in being a cop you could try something as out-of-the-box as becoming a cop.
>>31002622
wait MP is harder to get or MI, active duty
Man, /k/ is fucking garbage this morning. Let's try to improve that a bit with some of our favorite military ultra-badasses. I'll start:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Owen_J._Baggett
>One Zero approached within several feet of Baggett. The pilot then nosed up, almost stalling, and opened his canopy. Baggett shot at the pilot with his .45 caliber pistol. The plane stalled and plunged to the earth,[7][8][9] and Baggett became legendary as the only person to shoot down a Japanese airplane with an M1911 pistol.
Post your favorites /k/. And try not to be dicks about it.
Defended our country from terrorists and killed countless of them. A true hero in my eyes
This thread is worthy.

I am coming into some money soon and I cant figure out which SVD rifle to buy. I cant afford one of the Legit KBI SVD's because they are like $10,000 but I can afford around $5000.
>NDM-86 in 54r
>NDM-86 in .308
>TIGR in 54r
I am leaning to the NDM in 54r since it is the closest to the original as I can get, however they do not seem to come up for sale very often. Can you buy full length barrels for the Tigr rifles?
Tigrs are ugly as fuck
>>31002287
nigger just buy a fucking bolt rifle for 5k
>>31002341
That's the whole point I want a fucking dragunov. I already have a shitty PSL and for legit long range I have a TRG-22

>>31001817
It means rifle development basically stopped in 1977
And it's just about correct
>>31001817
I have fired them plenty of times, shit triggers most of them are old and really stiff and crappy so we're getting new ones called ef88's and f90's theyre much better but the f88's glory days are over senpai

Literally who?
Wtf am I looking at Anon?
Do you really think they would let him operate with only one eye?
>>31002066
...let him?
He just does.
>>31002066
What difference does it make? I'm more concerned about him insisting on the crossbow
I've always wondered.
If you lose your eye in the army as infantry, would they still let you operate?
>tfw you were born in 1991 and missed out on getting all of the cool import guns
>>31001335
Don't remind me
>>31001335
I know that feel.
>>31001335
Don't worry nigga, most import guns are shit anyways. It's the forbidden fruit syndrome that makes you want them even more so. Stop being a faggy millennial and just buy American.

I came across this channel a while back on /k/ I think. I have always wondered who she is and why she is making these videos on the Japanese Military.
She seems like such an enigma. Not only is she Japanese but she is also a woman, and an attractive one at that. This is such a rare combo. Is she trying to recruit? Is she former military? So many questions left unanswered because I cannot read moonrunes.

This is probably my favorite video of hers

>>31001313
Attractive?
in what way
You can't see what she looks like
I have a decision to make, 7.62x39 or .223/5.56?
Im sort of thinking if I am going to be lugging around 7.62x39 I may aswell go the whole hog and and get a .308 platform.
Are the the stories about .223 deflecting off grass and leaves of any substance or is this a meme?
Has anybody put decent glass on an AK and shot out past 300m?
>>31001252
why bother with x39? both .308 and 5.56 get flatter trajectories anyways and if you're really worried about deflection just use .308, x39 is for poorfags and .300 BLK does everything it does better
>>31001252
>Has anybody put decent glass on an AK and shot out past 300m?
x39 was made 70 years ago with no intention of going beyond standard engagement distances. You're going to get maybe a little past 400m and not great results after. It's just not made for that.
>Are the the stories about .223 deflecting off grass and leaves of any substance or is this a meme?
Exaggeration. Hitting any object will affect the bullet but nowhere near as much as it sounds.
>>31001252
What's your intended purpose of the rifle? Most important factor when considering what cartridge to get into.
