I love my 91GI-R. It's pretty accurate even with cheaper ammo (2-4 MOA depending on manufacturer), and reliable. Mags are still pretty cheap and widely available, although you'll get some worn-out melons which don't feed very well. It does a number on fired cases though; especially in the summer when it's very warm. They get dents in the wall from the ejection port lip, then the case neck gets dented if they hit something hard on the ground. Recoil is more of a shove than a kick because of the roller-delay; internet complains about it but it's softer than any of my milsurp bolt-action rifles.

Do it OP. If you want a battle rifle get the GI. If you want a sick DMR get the F version. Mine is 1-1.5 with anything I feed it. 1.5 with perfecta all day, erryday. Need a bigger scope for mine to find out its real potential.

Well, I just watched the scene and I think it looks retarded. The A-10 barely shot any rounds. A real A-10 strafing run would sound like thunder. The GAU-8 fires at 60 rounds per second. Also, the A-10's in the scene were flying low enough that they easily should have recognized friendlies and pulled away.

It would increase the mass of the bat greatly, so you could possibly transfer more energy to the target if you had the strength. Portability would suffer as would accuracy and usability as it would become much slower to swing around. Probably still usable, maybe even better.

Cool idea, I have never heard of this, but ihave wood working and vauum chamber experiance. Im gonna make some wood grips for some rifles and pistols. I bet this treatment adds alot of wieght.
