What are some of your firearms /mischief/ you do/have done?
>got five new people into guns
>suggested them on getting a police trade in glock 22 or 23
>have a bulgarian 105 front sight block on my sgl31 and a pinned+welded bulgarian 105 muzzle device on it
>ask people if I can shoot their guns whenever I'm at the range and politely decline when they ask if they could shoot mine afterwards
>bring braked PTR to range
>period
>punish neighbors with blast
>fling brass to 2 o'clock 60 feet out across the next three lanes
>only shoot steel case ammo so the already unreloadable cases are also dented in defiance
>set up steel target at 100 meters
>ring it for three straight mags
I think I need to go to the range again.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Is it really so hard to keep track of live inventory?
>get wind that Larue has Warcomps
>order Warcomp and some other things including Lancer mags and caps for my Aimpoint
>receive email today saying ALL of my shit is back ordered
I'm pissed. This is the third firearms related site behind SWFA and Quantico Tactical that has pulled this shit.
I'm skinny as fuck and want to get my ccw. I carry a m&p shield and, aside from crotch carry, nothing works. What can you recommend? Currently trying on a blackhawk cqc. I really don't want to open carry :(

License doesn't mean grace, anon.
Only takes one hand to press a button, so, nuke

Tucked vs untucked pants /k/
which is better?

The one of the right is bloused under the top of the boot
It actually keeps shit out of your boots and is practical.
The pic on the left is for fobbits and faggots that want to look pretty.

tucked.
no bugs up the leg
Tucked, feels like less is getting snagged on my legs. Which is weird with exposed laces.
Who knew there was a “Safe Space” for Glock owners.
Love this article.

Hit the gym and get a double stack 1911 and there's literally no point to a Glock.
Who wants to talk about PTR-91's with me for a bit?
i would like to buy a PTR-91 FR
Anyone have luck suppressing one?
Anyone love or hate their PTR and want to tell me about it?
>>30997877
>Who wants to talk about PTR-91's with me for a bit?
Ooh! Ooh! Me! Me!
>i would like to buy a PTR-91 FR
Good choice, especially now that they come with the paddle mag release.
>Anyone have luck suppressing one?
I've read up on it a bit; it requires changing the locking piece to adjust the roller-delay.
>Anyone love or hate their PTR and want to tell me about it?
I love my 91GI-R. It's pretty accurate even with cheaper ammo (2-4 MOA depending on manufacturer), and reliable. Mags are still pretty cheap and widely available, although you'll get some worn-out melons which don't feed very well. It does a number on fired cases though; especially in the summer when it's very warm. They get dents in the wall from the ejection port lip, then the case neck gets dented if they hit something hard on the ground. Recoil is more of a shove than a kick because of the roller-delay; internet complains about it but it's softer than any of my milsurp bolt-action rifles.
Do it OP. If you want a battle rifle get the GI. If you want a sick DMR get the F version. Mine is 1-1.5 with anything I feed it. 1.5 with perfecta all day, erryday. Need a bigger scope for mine to find out its real potential.
Master race reporting.
I absolutely love my ptr91fr. I recently purchased a used 3x9x40 bushnell. (impulse buy at LGS). Will post pics eventually.
So in Jarhead
The A10 friendly-fire scene. Was it just a baf mistake or did the pilots mistake our lovable group of misguided children for terries because numbnuts in pic related broke formation?
>>30997803
Well, I just watched the scene and I think it looks retarded. The A-10 barely shot any rounds. A real A-10 strafing run would sound like thunder. The GAU-8 fires at 60 rounds per second. Also, the A-10's in the scene were flying low enough that they easily should have recognized friendlies and pulled away.
>>30998077
pretty much this.
it's not pug-face's fault, i don't think it even hints it's his fault. just another blue on blue caused by trigger happy zoomies. i want to say it's so ridiculous as to be fictional but jarhead is based on a memoir right?
>>30998077
>>30998564
There is also the fact that the black sergeant barely seems to even care. He doesn't even bother to call in and report a blue-on-blue.
How ya doing /k/? I need a pair of radios that need to be durable, water resistant (at least), and have enough power to save my ass if I get hurt in the desert. The wife and I are going on a 3700 mile road trip and want radios to communicate as we'll be in different vehicles, and I could use them for riding around in the desert/general outdoor/hunting use.
I'll take this to /out/ if y'all want, but I've seen radio threads on here before, so radio thread.

Price range? Desired Bands? APRS features? Wattage output? Handheld? Mobile/Base?
Should I get a MBITR or Harris?
>>30997753
looking for not spending much more than $200-$250 on the pair. Bands aren't terribly important. APRS would be nice but not really in the budget. Wattage would just be max for the money. Mobile heavily preferred.

Would stabilized wood make a good home defense bat?
For those unfamiliar, stabilized wood is wood thats been soaked in resin while under vacuum to absorb the resin and turning the wood into an almost synthetic mineral once cured.
Ive been considering making a stabilizing kit for an unrelated project but with a vacuum chamber big enough to fit a standard baseball bat to use for home defense but i dont know if that would make a difference for better or worse.
>>30997311
It would increase the mass of the bat greatly, so you could possibly transfer more energy to the target if you had the strength. Portability would suffer as would accuracy and usability as it would become much slower to swing around. Probably still usable, maybe even better.
>>30997311
It would make a good set of furniture for a shotgun, which would make a good home defense weapon.
Cool idea, I have never heard of this, but ihave wood working and vauum chamber experiance. Im gonna make some wood grips for some rifles and pistols. I bet this treatment adds alot of wieght.
