are there any decent /k/-approved videogames that feature modern or WW2-era naval warfare?
>>31012487
Battlestations: Midway and Battlestations: Pacific were pretty awesome for console games, back when the servers were active online play was great as well.

From The Depths.

FTD doesnt really have any WWII content othet than the Dangerous Waters campaign that only lets you play the Americans.
Building WWII ships in the regular campaign just puts you against ships with 1500mm cannons
Improvised, home made, diy thread
Hey guys, I'm a mix of /diy/ and /k/, so I was wondering if anyone has any schematics/ blueprints/ designs to dump. Anything would be helpful, from coil guns to ballistics, receivers to barrel threading, trigger mechanisms to ejectors.
>>31012463
Bump.
Funny fact is that the most difficult part in homemaking guns for me is triggers mechanism. I tried to smelt them but they are too fragile. I'm stick for pipe guns and hammer-bolt pistols now.
>>31012463
If your /diy/ shouldn't be able to read schematics in pdf form of want you want to replicate and use that as a base design?

Who has em and whats the pros and cons of having them customized this way. Im looking heavily at cbrps sksar stocks in the white because a cosmonaut looking sks makes my snake wiggle but the sgw stock seems simpiler with less parts involved. Any advice /k/ommandos
Should loyal soldiers and heroic individuals be rewarded with expensive or historic weapons for their ultimate bravery?

nah good way to be singled out and if killed a huge blow to morale
as something ceremonial to keep in their home? Sure.

I'm going to dump the drawfriends' works to get this thread going.

Mosin Nagant is 12.8% porn. Everyone who sees this is 12.8% aroused.
>>31012260
Mosins make me fairly aroused.
Guns do in general

Try a mauser. I'd be surprised if it wasn't at least 88 percent porn
>>31012320
Mauser is only .1% porn. This is a step backwards.
If the US is so powerful, why didn't they win Vietnam?
If the US won Vietnam, why couldn't they win against insurrectionist southern fudds?
Tell me oh shitposter, if Vietnam truly won, why is the country now littered with McDonalds and Starbucks?

Politics ruins everything
>>31012243
Poor bait but you got me.
Vietnam lost against the US military, but not the US political scene. Media blew up the situation to be a hellhole of US death and loss when in reality most military engagements were victories. That and a peace loving hippie movement at the time didn't help anything.
Reminder that NV signed the peace accords and only started reinvading after the US presence dwindled in Vietnam.

>The US is the most powerful nation on earth and is the only object imposing western values on modern barbarians because our technological advantage over middle-east goat-fuckers is just that great
>The US didn't only lose Vietnam and Korea, but also demonstrated massive incompetence in Iraq and Afghanistan and would similarly be taken apart by a new US Civil War by southern insurrectionists
Which is it, fudds?
>Vietnam beat the U.S.
If you can call talking mad amounts of shit after the guy that beat the living shit out of you gets tired of beating the living shit out of you and leaves, beating him.

Its kinda hard to win a political war and stabalize a region when you dont want to bomb all of it.
The modern US hasnt been interested in salt the earth campaigns for decades and nam and iraq are good examples- why completely fuck over a region you can possibly exploit if you recover it?
A second civil war is the same issue.
Now fuck off.
>>31012043
This would make sense if you were fighting over a chunk of land and then the guy who got too tired left the chunk of land to the guy he was beating.
What is the most aesthetic way to display/ organize/ store firearms
>>31011985
In the closet.
Firearms should neither be seen nor heard .
What are you, a cringy tryhard or a nigger?
A complete gun room. It should have a reinforced door and its own key, and be locked when not in use, just like a car.
This is a cheaper option than buying a large, secure gun safe; the deciding factor is whether or not you have an extra room you can use for this purpose.

Talk me out of buying a Vepr in either .308 or 7.62x54r
If not talk me out of it, guide me towards the better purchase

They're solid rifles. Probably the most durable and high quality AK pattern rifles you can buy.
If you've ever wanted a Dragunov/PSL style rifle but didn't want to pay major dosh for one, this is probably your best bet. They can handle heavy ball ammo and if you're good you can do about 1.5-2.0moa with good rounds.
That said they come with some drawbacks.
-Scope mounts are expensive and not always available.
-Mags are a pain to find sometimes, particularly if you do the 54r models.
-Milsurp 54r is no longer super cheap as it once was, and good 308 is expensive, but more readily available. I'd go with the 308 personally.
Ultimately, this is if you really want a longer range ak that will last you forever and be prepared to spend a bunch on mags and optics if you decide to go that route.
>>31011980
I'm a happy owner of a .308Win Vepr myself, and I can say that it's a very lovely, solid and accurate little gun.
Hell, it's an AK, with heavy frame and barrel, firing the 7.62 NATO, using dual-stag magazines. What's there NOT to love?
>>31012171
you can also make it into a Rhodesian wet dream with aftermarket parts.
I hate, games where my shotgun bullets disappear and dont go far, its fucking annoying and stupid, even in games where you can use slug clips in your shotguns it does this shit, is there any game where the bullets go the intended distance? also side note, why is it that a double barrel can only hold two clips, shouldnt i just be able to fill the whole barrel?

I've fired thousands of rounds through various machine guns. It's not all it is cracked up to be. A well placed round counts for a slew of rattle fire.
I have never posted here before but as of one hour ago I've decided to fully embrace my freedom and buy a gun, probably a shotgun but I have no clue what to buy.
Keep in mind I am a poor college kid whos never even held a gun before
