Dating a girl for a bit now. She's skinnyfat, a little chubbier than pic-related but not really fat. She's a former whale though, and she's trying to lose even more weight. The thing is she's already got like no muscle, and she's only got a few pounds of fat that she needs to lose. I think being a former fatty has kind of affected how she views her body and now she's trying to go full skelly. Because she doesn't have any muscle, her TDEE is shot so she'd basically have to starve herself to get where she wants. And as far as physical attraction goes, to be ideal she'd need to lose maybe 10 pounds of fat but gain 25 pounds of muscle. And the muscle is more important for her at this point IMO.
Anybody have any luck trying to convince a skinnyfat girl to focus on building muscle instead of losing the few pounds of bellyfat she has left? Or to convince a former landwhale that "weight" is not a bad thing if we're talking about muscle instead of fat? I think part of her problem is she has this goal weight in mind and doesn't realize that weight and fat are not the same thing.
