hey /fit/, have you had any experience of crying in the gym? was it you or someone else? why?
tell us your story, anon
>new guy in the gym
>fat fuck
>figure he's going to be gone in a few weeks, but at least no NYR
>always kind of quiet
>don't go every time he's there, but see him once every few days
>does some weird fucking exercises but w/e
>over time gets better, does squats and deadlifts
>one day see him on his phone while he's resting on a deadlift set
>his face gets flushed as fuck while staring into his screen
>stays there like that for a couple minutes (yes, many more than is usual for resting, i think i did 2 sets while he was sitting there)
>suddenly he puts on his headphones
>sets up
>shouts "FUCK YOUU" before each rep
>does a fuckton of 'em
>failed his last rep and comes down before the bar
>throws his headphones into his stuff and cries quietly
nah but i have fainted in the gym
I've thrown up before.
I was doing smolov and I had 325 for 4x9
I was going atg on each rep, and now that I think about it, I probably should have rested longer between sets. After finishing I tried to walk to the trash can but I hurled everywhere
I was reading Orange while doing cardio once
It's a romance/drama/sci-fi manga
I teared up a bit
Have you guys tried any facial exercises/tricks to get rid of facial fat and if so did they work? Besides cutting.
I'm cursed with a lot of fat going to my face whilst bulking, even more than to my stomach.
>reduce fat
>without cutting
What did you have in mind? Surgery? Prayer?
>>38113599
Ice on your face, just like American psycho
Read the sticky or GTFO.
Im currently getting my knee tattooed. How long till I can train legs and deadlifts again?
Never. Don't come into a gym with that disgusting shit.
>>38113565
But anon tattoos are the marks of warriors
>>38113565
Never, since you just handed in your man card. May as well get stretched ear tunnels and a tongue piercing while you're at it, you degenerate.
Why is this happening /fit/?I'm always on the verge to cry/fight at the slightest thing even though I realise how bad for me is.What can I do to fix it?
>>38113548
get a hormone check, if everything is normal do some self analyzing and find the root of your problem

Nobody would care for hormone check here.

>not being able to drive is a deal breaker for women
doomed to die alone
Man, fuck driving.
>implying having the greatest sob story and sympathy magnet is a deal breaker
If anything it's a deal-enabler

Why is this posted on /fit/?
whats the max amount of beers or rum you should have before working out?
>>38113319
Should: ZERO
Could: Depends on your tolerance to alcohol
/Thread
Now FUCK OFF
>>38113319
>his "gym" doesn't have a two drink minimum
>>38113319
slightly THICC
What muscles would you guys say I should focus on?
I was born with club feet and my calves are atrophied. Will I be able to put on some mass without them looking ridiculous? They won't grow much, they respond really poorly.
Also due to the feet I got knock knees, which start to worry me.
I think my pecs and core are probably the weakest apart from calves. My back is actually pretty strong and so are my arms, always been that way. I don't even lift but I've done swimming, martial arts, and have been training with bodyweight.

another shot, sorry I only later noticed that my balls sticked out, didn't want this to be ghey
ah, yes, also I can't squat because my calves won't hold my body
Not sure about deadlift, I would have to find a knowleadge trainer.
>hey anon, I didn’t know you came to this gym!
>you sure look like you come here a lot
>can you flex your bicep for me?
>how about your calves? I LOOOOOVE a guy with big calves
>oh…. well then….
>I’m gonna go do some squats
>see you later anon!
Take it easy
>>38113175
>Hold on, slut. I was in the rack first and I haven't even started my working sets.
> be world class lifter
> dyel calfs
>Hey, anon! I saw you doing some curls the other day and I just couldn't help but to stare.
>Your arms are starting to look really good. I bet your abs look just as great.
>Y-you do work out abs right, Anon?
>Here, I'll show you mine. You should show me yours. ;)
>>38113157
Jokes on you bitch, that's all I work

I've long felt that while there is probably SOME truth to the various "dietary boogeymen" being bad for you, e.g. sodium, saturated fat, GMOs, preservatives, etc., I think the negative effects of these things are exaggerated.
e.g. I wonder how bad saturated fat actually is for you, if, for example, you're at a caloric deficit. Wouldn't it all pretty much get burned as energy before it could collect in your arteries? (Total bro theory, I know.)
How bad is for your body to use a vape mod with the lowest level of nicotine (0.3%)?
It's not bad at all. You're gonna get addicted and end up shelling a bunch of money on a dumb habit that you shouldn't have started though.
It'll stop even feeling good after a few weeks and you'll just be vaping to feel normal. I wouldn't start if I was you.
Vaping is just fucking stupid.
extremely accurate bro science coming through
10 years vaping = 2 years smoking
Admit your gym faults /fit/
I barely stretch before a workout and now I have a fucked shoulder
>>38112677
I regret neglecting stretching and mobility so much. My shoulder is fucked too.
I never tipped the receptionist at my old gym so they banned me
I don't actually track shit I just lift everyday
Which gym does /fa/ train at? Are expensive ones worth it? Do cheap ones suffice?
Any germanfags here that train at McFit? I'm moving soon and the city I'm moving to has one and I'm considering going there, mainly because they're open 24 hours a day and I sometimes have the urge to train very early in the morning or late at night. I've heard some bad things about it though, like people getting in fights, it being understaffed etc.
>>38112672
Old school gym on campus, it's free and the equipment hasn't changed since the 70's, it's got homemade racks, barbels and machines, pl8s are old Joe Weider branded casted weights, the dumbells are old and rusted too.
I've been to newer Gyms with a/c and fancy machines but the gains ain't the same.

>Lifting Weiders weights in order to obtain a gf like Weiders wife.
Hello all. Dexatron2812 here.
So I'm ready to start my fitness journey. More specifically I want to be a bodybuilder. I went to r/bodybuilding but they told me to go to r/fitness. I don't want to go to r/fitness because I believe that I'm much further along the fitness path than they are (I can do 36 pushups and 56 crunches without stopping) (r/fitness is just for beginners). Another gentlesir in r/bodybuilding suggested that I try 4chan/fit, so here I am. I read your "sticky" and I think I'm ready to tek da plej (any NBA fans here?). I am thinking of starting the Starting Strength program. Any suggestions on finding my maxes and any pointers to form videos? Please and thank you.
TL;DR - I want to do Starting Strength please help me out.
>>38112627
kill yourself.
>>38112671
Haha I just might at this rate. My form is pretty bad and I could hurt myself like this.
>>38112627
just lift
progressive overload
eat healthy
sleep enough
do mainly compound movements
follow this strictly for 2-3 years and you might make it.
now leave.
>Need a 30-45 minute bodyweight workout
>The sticky and wiki are a gutter mess of borderline useless fluff and shit
>Countless threads everyday pointing out that very fact the full year
Why have you people not updated that garbage? You can just put up YT guides that are better than that.

It's basic proven advice.
