Hey, I was thinking about this one for a long time now, today is the 1st of August, so we might be able to start the 30 day Challenge.

Post your before and after results at 20pm of the 30th of August.
I'll post them anyways, I'm not the fittest of humans but this will give me a nice result, I might for sure not get the body I want in 30 days but IF I and others can perform this 30 days straight, we'll get closer.

Water cut.
Start drinking 2 gallons of water per day, today. Do it every day for the rest of the week until the day before the weigh in. Drink water as you normally would, then 12-14 hours out from the weigh in, cut out water completely. Rehydrate after with gatorade or pediasure and water.
Laxatives for a quick cut like that. If you had more time, you could just calorie restrict for 2 or 3 weeks, but short term, just get rid of water weight. Eat asparagus too. It's an antidieretic.

The point of resistance training for weight loss is that it increases your metabolism so you use more energy. This will help with that.
The only thing it will screw with is your ability to run over long distances, as this requires your metabolism to be "more efficient" as running fags say, which means slower, because you can then do more with less food. Which is exactly the opposite of what you want if you want to lose weight.
No it won't mess with your exercising. Just don't start eating more.

It's hard to really make any noticeable difference on your metabolism unless you were to grow and have more mass to consume calories, be it height or muscle (or both if you're lucky). The main thing that will help you is that you're going to eat less. Keep exercising to burn those extra calories. Lift to add muscle so you dont just become skinny fat.
