Started 12 hour landscaping job and it's making it difficult to find time to go to the gym.

I stopped counting calories and ate excessively for 3-4 days because I have less time to prepare/too tired to give a fuck. How fucked am I?

I'm currently underweight for my height but I have shit muscles and more body fat than I'd like.


So basically, this job is killing my gains. Should I ride it out or should I look into something else?

Best 3-4 times a week lifting program for someone on a cut? Going from 190 to 170 and then I'll start bulking. I have relatively weak lifts (2 plate squat, 2 plate DL, 190 Bench, 90 OHP).

Second off you don't need to bulk and you mis understand what that's for. You are a weak new lifter. Bulking is for experienced lifters pushing past their natty limit. How about you actually lift weights and eat a healthy diet and stick with it for 6 months and make standard beginner progress???

Whats your opinion on jockstraps? I recently started to wear them because I was getting tired of my underwear riding up on me and also that crack sweet was annoying. However I notice I'm like the only person in my gym that wears them.

whats the best way to isolate one side of your sternocleidomastoid neck muscle?

one of my sides is weaker than the other one; im afraid that if i train them both at the same time that one will inevitably overcompensate and ill look stupid with one jacked side of my neck and one weak one.

how do you isolate one side of your neck? best exercise etc.

Use them all the time. About the only thing I don't get from them is caffeine & DMAA

The only downside is that roaches & bugs seem to love it, so just another reason to keep as clean as possible

Why is olympic weightlifting the most rewarding thing you can do in the gym? I just hit a new PR on c&j for 70 kilos. It's not much compared to elite lifters but I'm way more proud of this than my three plate squat for instance.

According to Walt Whitman, athletes in his era would eat a hearty meal for breakfast, then nothing but gruel for the rest of the day, as much as they could stomach. Could I do something similar? For example:

Meal #1 - one to two cups of beans, one cup of brussels sprouts, one to two potatoes

Meal #2 - steel cut oats with milk, nuts, and berries

Meal #3 - steal cut oats with milk, banana, and dehydrated peanut butter

Meal #4 - steal cut oats with milk and an apple

Meal #5 - three cups of spinach/kale, nuts

Is there anything wrong with this meal plan?
