i wanna start doing trap bar deadlifts at my gym. but the problem is we don't have one at the gym.

there's one for sale right now for $120 (normal price is 300) and i'm really thinking about buying it to donate to the gym so my gym bros and i can all use it together

is this normal? i'm gonna talk to the gym manager on monday about it

Sounds like a good idea but you may have an insurance issue. If someone gets hurt using it, the gym could be liable for allowing the equipment to come into the gym from an outside source. As far as the owner knows, you welded that thing together while dressed like sonic on PCP. Fucked up but it's how business is now. I'd still give it a shot though

Whats the correct range of motion for a bench press?
Should I still touch it to my chest if I have long arms or is perp enough?

Touching chest is ideal provided it doesn't cause any shoulder pain/issues (which it generally won't with proper scapular positioning, but that isn't guaranteed).

If you can't touch chest for some reason you should at least use a floor or board press to keep ROM consistent.

Take this with a grain of salt, but from my own experience plus what I've read, taller dudes with longer arms need not break 90 degrees. I'm 6'4" so my arms are pretty long, and if I go past 90 degree bends on my bench, my rotator cuffs get fucked. On the other hand, my best friend is 5'11 and gets within an inch of his chest or so.

For me to get to chest, I have to make my grip fairly wide, and I don't get the ROM I'd prefer.

I train 3 hours a day, have been for years (6 or 7)
Certified trainer, so I know what i am doing training wise.
Diet and water intake is fastidious.
Supplement regime measured.
Made insane gains.
Still have hair
Making great money

Why am I posting this on a SATURDAY NIGHT?

Because doing everything i wrote above is time and energy consuming.
I am eating as i type this.

There is about 1 hour A WEEK where i am not working out, eating, working, in pain, where i just walk around.

And 100% I can pick up at least 4 or 5 18-25 year olds, and take at least one that day to my place, within that hour.

I don't drink, or cheat (on my diet).

So, is making it worth it?
For me it is.

I need your help /fit/. Over the last year or so, I swear i've just had super shitty inflammation take over my body. My shoulders have gone to shit, my lower back has gone to shit, multiple finger joint injuries, climbers elbow, etc.

I went from literal Zac Effronmode to losing like 20lbs of mass because im fighting off so many injuries.

I've tried cutting out caffeine, taking basically every antiinflammtory supp known to man, paleo diet, etc. Nothing helps.

What do? My gains are fucked. I'm only 26 and was a D1 athlete, so it can't be that I just smashed my shit up.
