So I started going to the gym a month and a half ago a few times a week doing a mix of cardio and weight lifting, usually spending an hour and a half to 2 hours there. I've read that squats are the best way to build muscle fast but I have really bad knees.
I'm 22 and have already had 3 knee surgeries on my left knee and my right kneecap also pops out of place on occasion so any lifting that requires knee use is out of the question.
I haven't been putting on much muscle with my routine which consists of walking around Planet Fatness (I really find giving people who are trying to make a life change and get into shape free pizza and bagels to be very immoral, but it's the only gym in my area) doing random lifting machines other than some noticeable growth of my biceps.
What are some good full body routines that use weight machines or maybe dumbbells that won't cause me to get another knee surgery? I'm 6 ft and about 195 lbs if that helps any.

You need big lateral and rear delts too for the shoulders to look good.

Climb more, climb everything in your gym, climb outside. Climbing and lifting are completely different so you can't really measure progress like that.
To me chasing grades isn't the way to climb anyway.
