i've noticed people eat really high protein foods/load on whey, and then eat super high calorie/ high carb meals when they're bulking so it evens out.

SO. IN THEORY could someone just drink a shit ton of soda, which just has empty calories, and then drink protein shakes, which have super high protein content, and have it even out? paired with a multivitamin so you get essential nutrients I can't think of anything wrong with this.

Why can't i see any difference in gains after ~3 months doing this? Went from SS to PPL and startet eating way less fat. I still se small increase in strength in my lifts but not really in appearance... I eat like below and get 7-8 hours of sleep. I want to sleep 8 hours but often wake up before alarm clock. I work a desk job also. I weigh 79-80kg, and my max lifts are:
Bench: around 100kg
Squat: around 120kg (bad right knee)
Dead: around 140kg
OHP: around 60kg
I work out alone so hard to do max...
Food:
morning oats + milk + whey 789
around 10 ryebread with paté 430
noon pasta + chicken + broccoli 823
before workout oats + 3 eggs 347
after whey 206
before bed tuna + milk 527
3000 - 3100 kcal

/fit/, i've been sick on and off for months. perpetual congestion is the main problem, n i've been to the doc a bunch of times: he says it prolly some kinda viral infection and should clear up by itself- but it's been such a long timeeee (literally since the summer)
haven't been going to the gym but i'm itching to get back. would that be a terrible idea? i think my immune system's just been worn down since i first got sick n is having trouble getting back into gear. is there even a point in going to the gym when i can't put 100% in?

Do starting strength, or a ppl if you want until you get some solid strength. Cut first until you hit a nice bmi. You'll feel less like shit. Then start bulk/cut cycling. Eat clean, lots of protons to not kill yourself when cutting.
How do you find a simple gym that has a squat rack and dedicated bench press benches?
I've searched all around town, but every 'gym' is some crossfit program or just a bunch of treadmills aand dumbells.

Is it possible to gain muscle mass and keep my six pack? I like the way my abs look but I'd like to increase the muscle mass on my arms, shoulders and chest.
I'm 140lb at the moment, I do 2 push and 2 pull [yep no legs unless you count DL and running], 2-3 sessions of 35min high-intensity cardio and 3-5 sessions of abs a week [30min each]. I do this at home, half rack, a bench and weight is all I need [machines are for pussies].
I'm currently eating at maintenance and I'm really not sure what to do. I really wouldn't like to lose my six pack but I'd like to gain more muscle.

At all these fast food restaurants, just order a grilled chicken sandwich and take the top bun off. Don't eat it covered in mayonnaise or whatever they put on it.
Eat that and a small salad and it'll be fine.
Stay away from the fried foods and excess carbs (pretty much everything. Never eat the fries)
