Friends, I've taken the true redpill and ascended to full boghood.

I used to be a neet virgin robot who was depressed and always anxious but no more.

>After work read books, do yoga, and help an old ailing family friend
>Bedtime rolls around, fall asleep without problems the second I hit the bed
>Cuddling with GF while high is best feeling ever

This is the key to a healthy and productive life. I can run a 17 minute 5k with a normal heartrate every weekend too and I'm confident, content, and caring throughout the day. Take the crystal pill and be reborn.

Help I can't stop eating butter. I used to hate the taste but once I got on keto and started putting it in my coffees I got hooked on the taste.

These days it's my go to snack when I'm staring in the fridge and even when I'm being normal and just using it for toast etc, It's a one for the toast one for me. I know it's just wasted calories but I still go through a 500g block a week.

This is me, 150kg (330lbs) 1.75m (5'9).
I recently changed my diet, i'm eating 1500kcal a day, so far that amount works just fine for me.
I'm poor as shit because i'm unemployed and have/had some mental issues leading to me being so fat. I'm sick and tired of being a fat loser and seriously want to better myself.
Right now i'm pretty much sedentary but once i lose about 30kg i wanna do c25k or something similar. The issue is i'm literally too fat to do running right now without fucking up my joints. I don't have money for gym or swimming pool memberships. Next month i wanna buy a yoga mat and want to do antraniks full body workout for beginners called “recommended routine“.

Any tips,suggestions? (Yes i read most of the sticky.)

Hey guy here that went from 390 to 240 then back to 328 due to mental problems (309 now). So I can relate to your situation. Just keep eating healthy and under your tdee and youll be fine man. It's really easy to misjudge how many calories something has so just be aware of what you're eating.

We can both make it but god damn we gon have some big ol flaps of skin my dude

Something you might not hear much on this sub but I'd say the best thing you can do for your fitness is getting into mindfulness meditation. It will get your mental shit in check and allow you to be properly disciplined and clear headed. Without it, I'd still be falling in and out of my routine like I did when I was young. Start with a 20 minute a day mindfulness routine. That should do you nicely. Made the choice to never miss a day of meditation for the rest of your life. That's the one thing I refuse to miss, even if I choose to skip a lift day. That way, at least my mind doesn't spiral and I go into a downward trend. I keep my head on my shoulders with the uncompromising meditation routine, that I'm never moving backwards. Might move slowly at time, but never backwards.

Is there a definitive answer on how important genetics are to natty lifters?

Help me /fit youre my only hope.

So due to a back injury 5 years ago my stomach flops out. I got some kind of chronical back ppain that makes me careful to lean over etc when I'm reaching for stuff.

Doing lots of things differently with my body probably leading to further muscle strains.

As you can see on the picrue my stomach muscles kind of just flops out. It's hard to isolate them since I'm in pain too. I think it might be a catch 22 where theyre weak leading to back pain since it has to compensate leading to even weaker musels leading to more pain etc.


Tryed doing work out that fixes lordosis but its not working either btw.

I cant do any hardcore shit, planks dont help and lifting feeet etc doesnt work since I'm too weak and just hurt mysself. The muscles targeted during those seems to be correct though.

I'm a pretty lean and fit guy and I'm tired of not being able to work out correctly since I'm always in pain. Also would be nice to not always be in pain i guess

Dont care about that, its kind of sad that its a not working correctly at the moment though.

You should see it when I'm trying to lift, different muscle groups wake up at different intervals and nothing cooperates with each other, its a mess.

It's kind of as if my body forgot how to correctly handle itself which I guess it has after working differently for 5+ years due to my initial injury.

Would be nice to fix it if possible since I'm sure its just how I use my body that keeps fucking it up at the moment. According to 3 MRIs nothing in there should be broken. Backs are advanced but if its fucked up permanently I'd still like like to give it another go.

Share your useful /tip/s that you've gained over your time lifting.

>Recovery
Always go by feeling on this one. Did you sleep awful and feel like shit? Then you probably shouldn't go balls to the walls with weights today. Do you feel like you need an extra rest day? Then take it. You should trust your body and intuition.

>Nutrition
I'm a big advocate for eating what you want in moderation. Do you feel like having a slice of cake? Have it. It's not the end of the world to enjoy your bulk/cut/whatever as long as you do it in moderation. In order of importance calories > macros > micronutrients

>Supplements
Sleep is the most underrated supplement. It should be the cornerstone of every lifter's arsenal. Other than that omega 3, multivitamin, creatine and protein powder are worth the money, and should fit into anyone's diet. If you're already familiar with nutrition then you can do extra tweaking with minerals and whatnot, but it's not always necessary.

>Strength vs. Hypertrophy
I started off doing mostly bodybuilding splits and have tried every trick in the book to grow. Getting stronger goes hand in hand with building more muscle and getting more /aesthetic/. Also there isn't perfect "rep range" for either one. You won't morph into a powerlifter if you sometimes do strength training and the same goes the other way around.

>Stretching and warming up
I cannot stress how important this is to maintain overall health and avoid injuries. Attacking weights without properly warming up will lead to some injuries in the long run and taking a minute or two to properly warm up can save you from a lifetime of joint problems.

Truth to be told, it sucks and you most likely will feel like shit doing it. I know I do. Nonetheless it's great for keeping the balance between your muscle groups in order. You can also literally use it to ease tightness everywhere. Back tight and hurting? Roll that shit. Hamstrings are tight? Roll that shit. I try to do it every other day and I've also noticed that looser fascias can help with muscle growth.

>Cardio
It's underrated. It's a great way to lose those extra calories and it should be done as an accessory to lifting to maintain the health of your vascular system and as a warm up. Heck, you can and should do it on a rest day as long as you keep it in low intensity.

>Bench press
Learn the technique and find what works for you. I was once stuck benching only 175 for a few reps and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't feel it in my pecs. By experimenting I managed to find the correct width of the grip fitting for my long arms and I haven't had the problem since. Trial and error is the way to go on this to find out what works best for you.

Consistency is the biggest thing in building for example a bigger back, boulder shoulders or whatsoever. Sure, you can tweak your training by doing more deadlifts or rows, but what it always comes down to is consistency. Consistency (next to genetics) is the biggest factor in shaping your body the way you want.

Cardio is extremely overrated. The amount of calories you burn by doing cardio per unit of time is much lower than people think, it's much easier to just eat a bit less.

You can ruin hours of cardio in a couple of minutes by eating a fucking poptart and drinking some cocacola. If you want to lose weight just eat less, doing cardio is the stupidest meme ever.

Bulking shortcuts thread

What do you guys eat to meet your caloric needs easily on a bulk? I like ON Mass gainer and pints of Ben and Jerry's, usually eat a pint and a serving of gainer a day, which is about 2500 calories on top of my normal daily intake
