hello, it has repeatedly come to my attention that people constantly wonder why i wear my jacket even when it is hot outside and even when weather forcasts an excessive heat warning. i wear this jacket all the time zipped up when it is in the high 90's and my coworkers(pizza man) wonder how the hell i can work while wearing that and not break a sweat while they are drenched in their own just from an hour of outside exposure. I live in Iowa and for the past week it has been pretty hot in the des moines area.
whenever they ask why I wear a coat i just say "i have no idea" and continue delivering hot fresh pizza's(not selling out just saying it is lol)
it has gotten so annoying with the comments that i once took my jacket off before going to the restroom and the entire staff was "shocked" at me having both my cap and jacket off.
but i still don't know, why the jacket. i don't feel discomfort while wearing it in hot days. and i always put it on before going outside all the time. one coworker guesses it's a security thing but idk. what is your input?

I've never met someone who does that, though. It is very odd. I've seen my brother wear a thick cotton jacket in 90+ F degree weather but that's because he's a junkie and he's probably going through withdrawals

Do you have any /adv/ice to cure procrastination? Shit has been affecting my life pretty badly over the last 5 years and it is worsening by the second. I do have the drive to complete a task but I tend to do it at the very very last minute like an hour last minute.

So /adv/, I'm in Turkey for vacation, yesterday I went clubbing with friends due to boredom. This roach suddenly becomes jealous and wants me to switch table for some reason, contacts guards and says some bullshit and I end up getting thrown out, but most notably a goddamn hit in the head.
Now I want to sue these fuckers, what's the best I can do, I heard I could report this to human rights watch and they'll look into it, I'm Swedish.

Well, where to start? Several months ago I met this incredible girl, during an especially rough time (numerous family deaths, job rejections, stress etc. etc. I'd even had rapid weight gain... I weighed 96 kg and I'm only 177cm tall). It started out just as awkward interactions when we saw each other, and my bumbling jokes failing.
Gradually though, we got talking properly... like every fucking day, for hours, without fail. Even if it was about pointless, inane crap. For the first time in God knows how long, I actually felt happy and I'd completely fallen for her. We had a ridiculous amount in common with each other; Hell, I learnt that she had been struggling with similar anxiety issues I had been (the only initial concern I had was the 5 year age gap between us; she's 18 and I'm 23, but then I realised I was being a complete moron). My friends had all commented on how compatible we'd be and had noticed the positive change she'd brought about in me. I'd never smiled so much in my life; she was half the reason I got my act together and started losing weight -- I weighed 96 kg at only 177cm tall! I guess I still have a bit of chub on me, but I dropped from 96 kg to 80kg -- 176lbs from 211lbs -- I felt like I was handling my own problems better and, Hell, I even moved out of mum and dad's and got myself a job related to what I want to do in future.
Things were looking up, and I feel it was largely down to her and the influence she had on me. Our talking led to a date, which was awesome... we both have really bad anxiety issues, so it didn't start smoothly but with in no time at all we were at complete ease. She agreed to a follow up date and I couldn't have been happier. After a time though, she became more distant, and I was terrified... I thought I'd upset her or fucked everything up somehow. I'd received a lot of advice telling me to buck up and tell her how I felt about her. I did...

To my relief and overwhelming joy, she explained to me that she really liked me to, and I'd made her happier than she'd been in a while, she said she's just shy, awkward, anxious etc. and she just had a hard time showing it all but insisted she liked me too. We talked for a bit after that, and things were looking promising.
Then a few days ago, she sent me a long message, explaining how she does really like me but she's got too much shit going on and she thinks she'll only end up hurting me and herself if she pursued a relationship. Citing, her own anxiety and a myriad of other problems. I tried to explain to her that I was there for her, through anything, and that I understand the affects that a severe anxiety disorder has on your life (I was recluse for months, I couldn't leave the house without having a panic attack unless it was just nipping to the shop for more food and booze to binge on to help me cope. I was undergoing therapy and attempted suicide, it was a fucking pathetic attempt I didn't plan it right at all... felt like such a fucking idiot. Furthermore, I was stuck living with my parents and it really strained my relationship with them because my dad did not accept it as a real problem) and that it wouldn't upset me/scare me off like she feared... she only apologised insisting she hated herself for hurting me and said I had been nothing but nice to her. She asked me to look after myself and that was it.

've been fucking despondent, distraught. I've not slept, ate... work has practically handed me a thinly veiled demotion recently, saying I'm needed in another department... it's not remotely related to my current role at all, and I struggle not to break down at my desk. The moment I get home, I hide in my room and pathetically sob till I can fall into some remnant of sleep; like I did every night during my nervous breakdown. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm not handling this very well at all, and I don't want to give up on her, especially if what she says is true, because God knows I'm fucking crazy about her.

Starting college a year late, and it just seems the only single women I even meet are only into partying, reality tv, have no real hobbies or interests, and no depth to them. Either really clingy or unstable, not mature people. You could fill their entire person into a few pages of paper.
The only women that aren't cardboard cutout personalities are the ones whom are already long taken, or have enough sense to stay single and pursue their careers. Maybe I'm just expecting too much out of college women, but I'm tired of running into/dating women with no substance to their person.

At some point,when they start having responsibilities, they get more and more mature. Sure, rarely develop hobbies or interest or depth, but become more stable. Usually by their mid 20s.
