Plenty of denim manufacturers make jeans that have just a little bit of polyester to help them be more stretchable. Levis definitely has some in their regular line, something like 99% cotton 1% lycra or poly or whatever. Just go to a major department store and check the jeans for a different combination of fabric that will conform to your size better. Carhartt also makes very sturdy all cotton duck pants or denim pants that should stand up to more abuse than fashion jeans. If you are looking for something that may fit you better than pants, overalls are another way to go. Fun fact, jeans were originally branded as waist overalls. Overalls are what I see "sane" fat dudes go for because they fit the gut better and wont fall down. Sure you will look like you work on the railroad, but with some confidence you could rock it.

then i just went to them. even if they didnt seem like quite my thing, i tried new things. now i play dodgeball, and of course pokemon GO has lead to some new friendships, and anime parties, and laser tag, and even just going to arcades or talking to people on the bus.

PROVE IT. Give it a couple weeks. Make a tally sheet (or, for bonus autism points, an excel sheet that tracks the person, time of contact, and what they talk about) to when you start a conversation for help/funsies and when they start one for help/funsies. You don't need new interests, OP. You just need more interests: ones that have nothing to do with Japanese mass media (since you already have that covered). Almost anything will do, as long as you aren't pulling the wings off small woodland creatures or anything. It is not the individual things we do, but the combinations of things we do, that make us interesting or not.

When someone asks me what I do in my spare time I always say I like reading and watching fantasy, playing videogames, programming and working out. It's true too, although I leave out the part about perverted chinese cartoons and shitposting on imageboards for autists.

It does sound really nerdy, but I found that noways not that many people are turned off by this kind of stuff (I guess that could be different in your area) and then again, why would I want to interact with people who share none of my interests? I mean, if you want the normiest of things, you can say stuff like sports, jogging, lifting, dancing, traveling etc. but it would be an obvious lie most of the time and it won't help you impress anyone. The best thing to do is to just talk about your actual hobbies but tone it down a little so it seems socially acceptable. Again, why would you want to interact with people who have nothing in common with you? It won't make you feel better.

Of course, there is always the "be polite and restrain yourself accordingly to the unmentioned rules of social interactions" rule that we all usually follow and understand when first meeting people, but otherwise act normally and if you actively participate in social activities that you enjoy, you'll probably meet someone and it'll go from there.
