has anyone here been on or is currently on disability for mental illness?
i have a hard time working; and both my therapist and my parents have suggested i do this for a while until i'm functioning again, but after a few quick searches, im not sure how possible that is

I have been on disability for depression. If you can survive on barely any money, it works fine.

Well I have absolutely no income right now so it'd be a step up

How do you apply and how long does it take to get approved? I have major depressive disorder so i don't know how "easy" it is to get
