She says it's due to her father being to jelous and overprotective. She is his joungest daughter, but all of her sisters have (or had) a boyfriend. Actually, one of them is already a mother (she didn't tell me, a friend of hers did)
Is it mature to adress that this is actually making me uncomfortable? I love that girl, more than sharks love blood, but this is kinda getting under my skin.

Hi /adv/,
I've been in a relationship with my girlfriend (we are both early 20s) for just over a year, and it's been great, we love each other.
I had a dream last night where I was very close to this other girl that we both know, holding her neck and face, almost kissing her but resisting. I didn't do anything in this dream, but it felt uncomfortable and unsettling.
The kicker is that I have always been infatuated with this girl, and my girlfriend has been suspicious in the past about our relationship as friends. I managed to put her mind at rest though and I don't think her suspicions continue.
My problem is that, even though this dream was uncomfortable while it lasted, as soon as it ended when I woke up, I immediately felt 'aw damn, I wish that continued'.
Today I have been thinking about it and whether I am in love with the wrong woman, and why do I feel like this. I don't have the heart to leave my girlfriend, let alone do anything unfaithful. But if I feel this way about another woman, then something must be wrong right? Any thoughts are appreciated.

How do I save my friend from /pol/? He used to be a little bit introverted but happy, had a girlfriend, was fit, got along well with everyone. Now he's a total recluse, broke up with his gf over some autistic political argument, has become obese, and gets into fights with people/tries to make everything about politics. All this after he started browsing /pol/ regularly. I literally cannot have a conversation with him about anything without it being pro-Trump or anti-SJW/women in any way.

Is it possible to steal a girl from her boyfriend? This girl that I've been talking to has shown a lot of the usual signs of interest.
For example, I took her out one time, but then some personal shit happened and I didn't talk to her (and a lot of other people) for about a week, and she went around and asked some people if I hated her.
However, she's taken, but I'd like to change that. Obviously, I'll talk to her some more to see if I truly like her, but I'd like to know if anyone has general advice for this sort of thing. I've been lucky enough in life to only go after girls who haven't been taken yet, so this is a foreign idea to me. Should I even attempt this? Should I just stay flirty friends and then pounce if they break up?

How to deal with a slimey coworker? this one guy- "Jake". he just gives me the willies dude.
I've seen him misrepresent or misquote situations I've been present at. Often exaggerating or completely fabricating emotional states or series of events. How can you tell me how I felt/reacted?? I WAS THERE. He'll repeat this shit to other people. I'm fairly sure he does it about other people to me, but I just respond "I doubt that happened."
I'll talk shit about a coworker; and it'll be something not too serious and someone I genuinely love. Ex: coworker is having a bossy day, and I say he's in full Stalin mode. Jake will agree way too heartily. I'm also pretty sure he repeats my shittalking to the subject as a "warning" because he's "looking out." Fortunately, I'm an open book, so they'll just be like "yeah, Anon sent me a text calling me Stalin this morning. Why are you telling me this?"
He's weirdly "friendly". He'll fake laugh at your jokes to a ridiculous degree. He changes his views on a dime to match your own.
Him: I love burritos
Me: yeah? I've always hated em. I'm team taco all day.
Him: LOL YEAH I mean, you're right, if I'm honest they kind of suck, for sure.
He misrepresents his level of closeness with others, especially those which are of a higher level. Saying things like "yeah, Boss doesn't get treated like a regular guy bc everyone is afraid of him. We're really tight and smoke cigs sometimes and he's able to talk to me. I get him." He's mentioned to other coworkers he'll say or befriend anyone who will help him climb the ladder. he's incredibly (unintentionally) transparent and also sort of sucks at his job. It's all petty shit, but I have the worst gut feeling. Do I just continue to shut down his attempts? Ignore it?

I'm definitely the type to not mind the socially-retarded. Some coworkers everyone finds "annoying" are harmless, so I like them and try to be compassionate. Corporate is cliquey.
This guy, however, something seems sinister. I'm pretty sure he sees himself as much better than me, but he just hasn't been able to get the same "luck" as myself. Luck I don't deserve, in his eyes.
I know it sounds nuts, but I'm usually oblivious of things like this. The fact I've got alarms going off says a lot.

at what level is it safe for someone to drive home?
i recently moved into the "downtown" portion of my city for work, and its becoming common for work people to invite me to drinks/out to eat/etc
i live about 10 miles from work, and i drive to work everyday. we typically go to places around our work.
when i drink i always grab a taxi home and then a taxi back to work the next day to pick up my car. this is pretty pricy since fare rate here is 2.60 + 2.70 per mile, so its like 50 dollars for me in addition to the food and drinks.
if im not drinking hard liquor am i safe to drive home? i have no idea how my BAC would work out, but i generally only drink 2 ciders or beers

I get about 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night.

I have a child with a woman I'm not married to. He's 3. We split time with him. I'm non-religious and she's (recently) taken to Christianity. She's been introducing/indoctrinating him every other weekend. Today at Easter dinner, she asked him to say the prayer and he spewed some pre-recorded words back. This pissed me off to no end. I said many words, to the displeasure of everyone around.
Don't get me wrong, I love Christianity. I was raised Christian, became an atheist as a teenager, and have since settled on agnosticism. I love Christianity because it's a bulwark against Islam and it preserves the American society I've come to know and love. But, I've always felt somewhat above it. It's fantastic and it serves its role well, but to see my own son become one of its pawns makes me sick.
I'm not sure if god exists, but if he does, he's definitely not the Christian god.
So, how do I handle this entire situation?

I've told her that, for sure. I've also explained to him that some people don't believe that stuff, but it's hard to tell him that as I also tell him Santa and the Tooth Fairy are real. Kids believe dumb shit and it's fun for them. I don't want to ruin everything for him.
So my life is falling apart. Lemme start from the beginning. Until grade 3 i was getting straight A's and doing really well but i didn't have many friends i was bullied for my weight and so on. Then i left that school to go to another one and I was diagnosed as gifted and I received a high IQ score. At this time I had more friends but my average at school took a plummet. As soon as grade 8 hit i was kinda popular and i started going to party's drinking and smoking weed. At this point my parents and I had scene a psychologist that didn't do much but scare me and insult me. Then I got into high school and i'm sure my parents just gave up on me my grades are at 60s. Now my parents are going to kick me out of the house in a month if i don't get a job to carry my own weight in the house or get 90s in the last term. Any advice would be appreciated thanks in advance.

You don't do it one day. You do it every day. Make it a routine. Every day after dinner, study some subject. The next day pick a different one. Fill out the week. Even 15-30 minutes a day will make a huge difference.
