Hey /adv/ I need some help with some friends.

You see, I have these friends that I'm not really "close" to, but we see each other every day and talk about stuff and share stuff that we've found regarding our interests, and that parts fine. I love that part.

But these friends can also be really obnoxious sometimes. They do really immature things like scream profanities in public and have really aggresive opinions on just about every subject. One thing that they commonly do is ask one another for advice as a thinly veiled plea for someone to just reinforce their opinion on stuff. If you offer them real advice or a well thought out opinion, they just reject it and get physically upset.

I feel like I can't really connect with them at times because they're too focused on being "funny" and cracking jokes all the time. It's either that or they're constantly on a soap box about some specific topic that they've come up with out of the blue. They also do this annoying thing where they will start a discussion by making some ridiculous statement as if it were fact, and then just watch as others argue amongst themselves about the thing they just said. I guess they feel like they can't ever be held responsible for the shit that they say, and don't really care about the backlash when among friends.

My question is, what should I do with my friends? Should I even continue to visit them if I can't seem to fit in with this "banter"? Should I just look for more mature friends?

I don't have any symptoms for STDs, but my GF kindly asked me to get tested because I've had sex with a handful of other girls before, two who were kinda slutty.

I'm like 99.99% sure that I don't have anything, but I want her to feel relaxed. Is there a cheap and easy way to just quickly check?

I understand that this board is almost nothing but relationship advice but I still think this was the best place for this

I take the general GRE for graduate school in a month. Ive been told by some people that its almost worthless to study for as it tests general knowledge and reasoning skills (imagine that) and doesn't require much actual book knowledge. How much truth is there to this? I ask because between classes, work, and studying for finals I don't really have all that much time and want to know how much time I should reasonably invest in preparing for it. The few practice tests that I've took put my estimated scores at decently above where I want them although I've yet to take an actual full sized 4 hour one.

Also what section did you find the most challenging and why?

TLDR: how useful is studying for the GRE? what did you find the most difficult?

What is the point of all of this?

I have no idea what I want to study in collage,and what career to pursue.I have no particular interests in anything other than memes and shitposting.
I have nothing that I am really good at,I am kinda good in everything if I try hard enough so it's a tough choice.

I am kind of interested in politics but that shit will hardly get me bread on my table here where I live.

Any suggestions to how I will find an interest and goal and work twoards it.The sooner I find it the easier it will be for me to get the job done.

Now my ex-gf hates me, I can't stop thinking about her even when I am with the other girl, but I know I should leave her alone and move on, but I can't deal with it yet, any advices?

I watch porn, fantasize and fap just as much as the next guy, maybe even more than normal.

I'm not great with understanding girls, but anyway, I was seeing this girl, but she broke it off by ghosting me for whatever reason. That doesn't matter.

However, recently she's started liking all the photos I put on Instagram, and last night, on a night out she was very touch-y feel-y, legs over mine, grabbing my arm etc. I think she's hot still so I was fine with it.

However, I found out from a mate that she has a boyfriend now and therefore didn't attempt anything.

BUT, this morning, she sends me a snapchat asking how I am, the quote being "how are you feeling princess xo" or something along these lines. I was quite cold and said "Why do you ask?", I didn't really know what else to say.

What are her intentions? I don't want to be strung along.

welp im getting depressed again
i spent three years depressed, got well again, became functional after a lot of struggle, remained completely negative, everything was still shit, got quite mad and quite pesimistic about shit, now im starting to give up again, feel a constant stream of mild pain from waking up to going to sleep, lost interest in everything,etc

Im not really surprised, i think its a cycle really, i wish i died back then now im stuck in the depression-get better-depression cycle
