How do I live without hatred? Long story short I had a group of friends for a long time and one of them did something horrible to me. Here I am today and I don't talk to any of them anymore and none of the others believe what he did. Literally attacked me in a dark part of a city at night. Sliced my wrist and then pushed me to the ground. I was so shocked and so horrified that I didn't do anything about it. A friend of mine has begun dating a woman that is still very much in that teenage haze of impudence and a non-existent perspective. She's probably legitimately ADD, or may have some mild degree of actual autism, but I'm not a shirnk so I'm not going to make any such calls. I believe she's simply never been forced to take responsibility for herself. She's worked in her parent's restaurant for most of her life up unto this point, but you have to understand that that's basically her version of doing chores to get an allowance; just with customers involved. She's actually been sitting on graduation for a second semester now. She's simply choosing not to. Nobody knows why, and as with most questions directed at her, her response is a droning, "I don't know..."
The fact of the matter is she constantly makes little noises any time a voice chat is quite for more than a few seconds, her memory appears to work almost exclusivity in broad, vague strokes, and she's no sense of courtesy. Despite being 22 (I believe) she still very much behaves like a high school freshmen.
SO, my question, as he seems set on sticking with her, is: is there any way I can make her smarter? Any proven techniques that an stealthily stimulate deeper critical thinking? Alternatively, is there any way to externally activate a sort of mirror moment? Some way to trigger proper sentience in a person that's still running around in that childish haze?

I am not on the pill, and in a rare occasion my husband and I have had sex irresponsibly even though we pulled out. Because we knew we didn't want a child for another year, we got Plan B. Problem solved, and the stress over worrying about being pregnant was a non-issue.
That also may be why her period is late--stressing over pregnancy.
Be more responsible next time, because there are foolproof methods to avoiding the issue even in hindsight.

My husband has a mental illness and it's just destroying our relationship. He is unmedicated because he "doesn't trust doctors" and he says the medicine makes him feel funny.
I think he has Bipolar 2 but I am not a doctor. His dad has bipolar with major depressive episodes and is on permanent disability for the past 15 years.

This weekend was his birthday and I reignited a spark i thought was dead. It felt so wonderful and hopeful, like there was a chance for real love to grow again. Then I accidentily bumped heads with him when we were leaning down to pick up our daughter and he got extremely upset and screamed at me. We had sex but I don't feel as much passion.
I told him he was losing me and he needed to get control and stopped being so mean. He said he loves me and will get control. The next morning he screamed at me until I cried before I left for work and claimed he was quitting his job.
He deciddd to go to work after all and texted me that he as so sorry and he loves me.
However, the magic is gone for me again, I just can't feel love or accept the same apology I hear after he does this monthly now weekly jo almost daily.
I feel so sad for the kids and our life but I don't know what to do.

That's a difficult question. It depends on what you personally find most difficult to deal with.
