This week's Monday Meeting Notes:
http://theonyxpath.com/when-in-doubt-time-to-play-monday-meeting-notes/
>Question
Whats your favorite vampire movie?
>>50365647
>Whats your favorite vampire movie?
Underworld is the best. It's so stupid, which makes it extremely fun to watch with friends.
Still no errataed Mage? Did anyone share non-advance version of CofD core, at least?
>>50365647
The Revenant, from 2009. Great movie that makes for good Requiem inspiration. Nightcrawler doesn't have a vampire in it, but it's my go-to movie for what a CofD film should look like.
>"I wouldnt be Gregor Richter if i did things in a way people would consider normal or efficient"
No.
"Our difference, you pilfering murderous psychopath is that I don't commit mass murder and then try to hide behind my social class to gather sympathy."A fucking banner doesn't count as a road sign, you retarded captcha
"I know you are sad about the lost of your fleet, your Imperial Majesty, but wait until you heard the real bad news."
Post only the worst and more obnoxious Magic Cards. The ones that fail to provide playability, flavor, interesting mechanics and made people angry/dissapointed.
>>50360558
Ludevic has the deepest flavor because you have to be a mad-genius to play him well.
Words cannot describe how much I hate this fucker. His abilities are relevant at any point in the game. He's a self-token maker, and with that comes self-buffer. The 4 toughness means that if you don't deal with him before he can pump himself, you're fucked. He is one sided graveyard hate. There are so many tricks you can pull with just him on the field. He's a deterrent for any creature that has less than 4 power, 6 if mana is up.
Yes I've lost games to him and yes I'm still mad.
Post character backstories and have others critique it.
Nothing is more dreary than a bad backstory. Hopefully we can become more original through this.
>>50357133
Samurai in a western-styled setting. He was made a ronin after he refused to take part in a massacre of a village, kicked his daimyo in the dick, caused enough of a distraction to let the villagers escape, then kicked his daimyo in the dick again.
As soon as he managed to escape to the West, he marveled at the free exchange of ideas, the relative racial harmony, and the fact that steel wasn't worth its weight in gold. The first thing he did was lend his armor and sword to a museum, and the second was getting some proper halfplate, a musket, and two longswords.
He's a bit immature, but enthusiastic and has a strong moral compass.
>>50357133
Many moons ago, young Bircham stepped on a toy brick. Realizing that man and all that he made was an abomination in the face of the natural world, he fled to the forest. Raised by the fairies, he grew in the ways of magic and nature's lore. Eventually he grew dissatisfied with the peaceful ways of the fairies, and saw that they themselves were weak and shallow representations of a false interpretation of the natural order. Stealing their souls, he became something more than a man. A terrifying new creature. He dubbed his new form that of "Fey" and sought to reclaim the world.
>>50357133
Once there was an ugly adventurer.
He was sooo ugly, everybody died.
The end.
Starting with illustrations of simple people, villagers, or more generally non-combatants. Post whatever if you don't have any.

They're used to power carts, weapons, provide food...

D&D 4e General /4eg/
What is your favourite 4e houserule? Houserules edition.
If you are GMing, remember to use Monster Manual 3/Monster Vault/Monster Vault: Nentir Vale/Dark Sun Creature Catalog math. Avoid or manually update anything with Monster Manual 1 or 2 math.
If you would like assistance with character optimization, remember to tell us what the what the rest of the players are playing, what books are allowed, your starting level, the highest level you expect to reach, what free feats you receive, if anything is banned, whether or not themes are allowed, your starting equipment, and how much you dislike item-dependent builds.
If you wish to talk about settings, 4e's settings are Points of Light (the planes and the natural world's past empires are heavily detailed in various sourcebooks and magazines), 4e Forgotten Realms, 4e Eberron, 4e Dark Sun, and whatever setting you would like to bring into 4e.

Versatile expertise (but not the specific expertise feats with other bonuses) and improved defenses for free.
Although I do wonder what the best level to give those out is. Level 1 is too early, I'm sure. When does the math actually break?

Just a concept since it's Vehicles edition and people kept mentioning making the Batmobile a Vehicle the last time I posted it. If this does well, I might incorporate the ideas from it (I'd have to remove Crew of course) as a DFC or something.
>>50304840
So, is the idea that I can use this defensively too? Seems really cool if that's the case. Not entirely sure on the cost though.
I managed to amass some newly found images so I'll dump what I have.

You. Whoever does this. Stop that.
Poor OP, he got so upset about another thread that he forgot to ignore it and just make threads about topics that he enjoys.
>>50389156
I wonder if you're proud of the shitty thread you've made, OP.
How about a thread to keep track of the various deals on this rather capitalist day?
I'm in the UK but all are welcome.
Mantic are doing several offers throughout the day apparently. Might consider the £25 random boxes for Fantasy and Sci-Fi

Oakbound studios are offering not-Squats at £1.99 per 100g, about a dozen

Bump looking for flames of war deals if anyone can help?
Goblin Gaming have ~30% off for X-Wing and are selling Chaos Space Marines at £4.20 for 3.
Game.co.uk are also selling the Space Marine vs Orks starter for £30, Attack Bikes for £10, Bikes for £5 and a bunch of Ork models on the cheap too
I've seen this mentioned twice in the past two games
What makes this game more than just another D&D heartbreaker?
What does it do to make it worthy of consideration?
At a glance it appears to be a slight variation on 3.5, which may or may not be compatible with 3.x adventures/monsters/settings, and seemingly lacks any real such support of its own, while also appearing to be quite dead in terms of active development.
So what is so good about this game?
Shill me.
The mix and match class track system is so damn fun, letting you really customize your character and every single one gives a cool selection of fun abilities to make use of.
It also has some of the best feats in any game, ever, and in general tosses the grim and dull elements of D&D out the window. It gives a DC of 35 for no holds barred flight using Athletics or Acrobatics. No qualifiers, no limitations. And even down to DCs as low as 20/25 they still give you flight for a round or two.
It's wonderful and ridiculous and I wish the project hadn't crashed and burned.
>>50386240
Huh. that does sound like it would have been interesting.
What the hell happened to the project?
>>50386474
The lead developer got hired by another company and had to sign a non-compete clause so he had to stop working on Legend, and the team just sorta fell apart without him to hold everything together.
1 more day until WoM pre orders edition.

>>50385156
Repostin' in case it gets missed.
I like it a lot more.
You've avoided all the mary-sue tendencies that plagued the draft I commented on, you've given the character a clear reason to *want* to go on the adventure, and added some much-needed flaws.
I guess the only glaring comment is: How does the Mesmerist piece fit into her backstory? The Vox is a crazy flavorful archetype, but it doesn't look you're doing much to develop it.Plus, on a more selfish note, another character from the LotLK adds some fun connections for Corwin.
Do you know how hard it is to stretch an ancient bow?!
Any elven archer should be as SWOLE as any dwarf!
>>50381869
You can be lean and muscular.
>>50381869
I dunno why but I remember Legolas in the book as being buff, also dark haired.
This is probably not the only source that describes them as stronger as they look.
I also think that everyone overestimates how strong you need to be to draw a bow. You need mostly back muscles for this kind of activity, they don't necessarily have big, swole arms.
