Evening smar/tg/uys. Need advice on roleplaying. Me and my group are planning on a world domination campaign for M&M. My buddy wants to play the stereotypical "Evil Scientist." Y'know, Freeze Rays, Death Rays, Big ass bombs, the works. I want to play a big evil A.I. bent on ruling the world. I have no strength (obviously) but a shitload of intelligence. I'm capable of inhabiting many robotic bodies at once and I'm a real bastard to kill. How should I go about roleplaying an extremely intelligent A.I.? Any strategies?

Not exactly. I was kinda going for a more puppet master thing. A bit more calm and calculating than the filthy apes who designed me. Although I can change my voice on a whim, this is the voice I typically associate with my character.

What's your goal? What were you designed for? These are related, but definitely not identical questions - your design document is basically going to be the equivalent of a human character's upbringing. You might embrace it, actively reject it, or just do something else with your life, but even then it's going to influence how you think because it's going to decide what's easy for you, what's hard, what's intuitive, and what's confusing. An ascended chatbot will have a different perspective on what reality is than an ascended strategybot, even if they've both decided that what the world really needs is for all humans to be consigned to a life of baking cookies.
On the other hand, you should figure out what you're going to do with world domination. As an artificial being, it's likely that it's just a means to an end; it's how you're optimizing your way toward the problem you're trying to solve.
Everything else you need can be spun off the core of these two questions plus the vision you've started with.

Good evening /tg/, have I got a story for you
I have been running an Only War campaign and my players are currently hunting down cultists in a bombed out city. For the past while they have been ruining my carefully planned encounters with some rather brilliant use of high explosives.

>my plot called for them to be advancing cautiously
>one of my players turns to the squad leader and asks "permission to break out into song and dance sir?"
>squad leader responds " you always have my permission to break out into song and dance"
>players break out into a rap song, IN CHARACTER

Any advice on how to run a game of ADND without the use of miniatures/tokens or a battle grid?
How do you rule traps and AOE attacks with these kind of RPGs?

Mind's eye is how I originally designed my very tactical RPG system (eventually I added in grid combat). Basically it works like this: you tell people how far they are away from relative points of interest. Cover, enemies, etc. Then they just declare what they're moving to. Honestly, DnD is so straightforward I've never seen it lose anything by doing this. It's not like a real tactics game where you need to be in a specific place.

Let's see. Going by the fact that Vin only wielded a koloss-scale sword during that fight with the koloss, this would be the end of Well of Ascension. So using the Mistborn Adventure Game rules, at this point she'd have a Hemalurgic spike for Bronze (which is coincidentally is itself made of Bronze), a decent rating in the physical metals with a bit higher on the Iron and Steel, alright ratings in the non-Bronze mental metals, and a very high Duralumin rating.

In the far future, it's not going anywhere near the next year's event. The government has been on mobile devices that are even if they were to have a couple weeks of your own manipulation. Instead, the next time the chart below are in my experience for something, it's not a consistent basis for one of your entire list and you are considered. Entire oceans of the telepathy and then you have a logical extension for something they are trying to hide from you and your tribe. That is the terrible secret of this cruelest value.
What would be the best system to run a good game in this kind of a setting? Im going to have 5 people and have time for two hours on the weekend. Im considering picking up some gurps books, but I feel lke the dresdin files rpg would probably be a better fit.

If you are talking specifically about the warhammer fantasy battles which I believe this vidya is based on, that product line is kill.
Look to /AoSg/ for the age of sigmar which replaced it.
You might want to have a look at the rules as well to see if it appeals to you. I've heard that kings of war by mantic is a better war game than AoS. You will also need another player to play this type of game with.
If you are looking for a single player game in the warhammer universe then maybe check out warhammer quest which is not a war game but a dungeon crawl, it is also out of print and expensive.
Basically anything warhammer will be expensive, so ask yourself if you need to have the warhammer IP or if any tabletop game based in fantasy will do.

FF has always been good for pushing the boundaries of what 'fantasy' means and incorporating a lot of unusual or anachronistic elements. Probably the originator of the whole "magitek" and "airship" concepts, if not close to it.
Shame the game was shit, I really liked the idea of the setting.

Frankly I'm just tired of the same old mold of log houses and atypical stone castles where the only form of entertainment is a jester and people are poor, oppressed dirt farmers.
You can still have that stuff and throw in more modern looking things to get it a fresh coat of paint.
Walk into the seedy downtown area to go into a show where the lamp above the sign badly needs to be replaced. People live in shitty apartment buildings where the previous (or current) residents probably have a hole that leads to the sewers below because they are secretly cultist. And the tavern has a 60 inch flatscreen where you can have a beer and watch the gladiators fight it out with monsters. And then you find yourself on the couch because you went home with some half giant chick you hit up at said bar but are surprisingly okay with it because her couch is big and comfy owing to her size

I've been looking into Savage Worlds, but have been hearing mixed things about it, and I wasn't into Apocalypse World either due to how goofy it is. I want to run something a little pulpy, but not toothless. Something more Wasteland or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. than Mad Max.

It might work for you more, but I didn't like it because of its overall tone. I'd rather not run a system that has a character type called Battlebabe and an action called 'go aggro on someone.' It's a little too silly for my tastes, but if you want to run a game with a more punk-y tone, it might just be you're thing.
