I feel like Scientology would work best in a 'magical americana' sorta setting. In general, there's a lot of fun alternative religions that were prolific in the seventies, and you could make a whole setting based off of 'it's exactly like the seventies but everything they're saying is true, and what they do works in a physical way'.
I play Delta Green, so no conversion is needed really.
