The real scary thing is Shadows, which ignore armor, can't be hit with normal weapons, and turn every peasant they kill into another Shadow

instead of meeting in coffee shops they do their meet-ups in bars. They beat in new members with a test (as well as beating the shit out of them) and shit like the scene from Fight Club where you put the acid on your hand. And when you go to them to ask for help for your homework/project they charge a premium and don't take kindly to being stiffed on payment.

Well, Neutrons are particles. Lasers are light, and made of photons. Photons and light exhibit properties of both energy waves and particles.

So is it possible this Dark Age weapon causes Neutrons to behave like particle AND wave, essentially turning it into what is essentially Neutron light, and focusing it into a Neutron Laser?

The answer then would be that you're shooting Neutrons that are behaving pretty fucking exotically but are otherwise unremarkable.

8 INT Wizards

You can play a wizard with 8 intelligence or a sorcerer with 8 charisma and still cast spells. This is part of the design of the game. Since there are spells that don't require saves or attack rolls, the spellcaster can still function and contribute to the party despite having a low ability score in their spellcasting stat.

Nothing really, I have pretty much no free time these days. Well I played jenga and spot it with kids at work...

7 wonders, played it too much, and I also think I'm moving away from card games these days. There's something very unsatisfying about them for some reason. The level of abstraction maybe ? I dunno.

Oooh that's tough, we're not a particularly "social" player's group. We will chit chat and occasionally crack jokes., but it never turns into one of these "magical moments" people share around here. I guess closest thing we got is that one game of Fire & Axe where we all started roleplaying as that one guy with the crab juice from that simpsons episode. "I got crab juice to sell. Also we raid village, ok ?" kind of weak sauce but it's all I got.

Conan. Amazing game (singular, as in, I'll need to play it again to see what an ordinary game is like). We were playing the scenario where Conan, wizard, black guy, and helper chick have to rescue a princess from a hut and bring back a shaman's head. The last two turns were basically Conan fighting the snake in the space in front of the hostage hut, six cavemen and shaman move in and gravely wound Conan, I (as wizard) lightning storm the space and kill everyone but the snake and the shaman after Conan does a dervish, they keep the pieces there to block ingress to the princess and summon all the dogs, we use ranged means to kill the snake and the dude, wizard bamfs into the hut, uses his last action to get the princess to the space in front of it, and Black man uses his evade and huge burden limit to carry the head and the princess to safety as literally the last possible action before game loss due to time.
6/10 would always play and never buy.
I have Dark Souls, Kingdom Death, and Gods War coming in, I don't need any more plastic until Nihei decides that a BLAME! minis game is a good idea.

Not pictured: Starcraft, Successors, a load of Sierra Madre games, the caveat attached to Tigris and Euphrates that it has to be one of the versions that uses wood bits (it's on the wishlist as a reminder), and a reminder to look into Cave Evil.

FrenchBro (he's playing a Not!Frenchman) and I say we're willing to do whatever rolls are necessary and accept failure if the NPCs cannot be convinced. But as all of the NPCs have been less moral than ourselves (they're pirates and explorers) and also expressed interest in the island (want treasure), I figured it was possible.

GM proceeds to place roadblock after roadblock. Says we'll take 'corruption' for an immoral act. We accept that. Says we should try out Chick Player's plans. She proceeds to come up with fuck all. GM hands her a plan by mentioning the Chieftain's lovely daughter seems interested in one of our companions and miraculously the natives don't attack us when we land. Puts us through FOUR FUCKING HOURS of the chick player trying to sign-language with the chieftan some complicated plan of marrying his daughter off and making the idol the dowry. GM eventually just lets her introduces telepathy from his ass to move things along.

Eventually, me and Frenchy get bored and say we'd like to contact one of the most friendly pirates. We do, and GM says he doesn't want to genocide the tribals. Even though he's fine killing and robbing his fellow man. So we contact the less friendly, more mean pirates. They're "too drunk."Chickplayer complains that we're ruining her plan and she doesn't want to genocide the villagers 'cause it's mean (literally).

At what fucking point should I have just stood up and told the GM he's being a jackass by injecting his morality into the game and ruining the roleplaying?

And I should add my character was a German Monster Hunter (hired on as muscle in this treasure hunt) who felt their entire religion was insidious bullshit and would have killed their gods and all their priests if he could.

TTRPGs are a social activity, not a simulation. I think people are well within their rights not to want their group to play at fantasy-genocide.
that said, the GM and concerned player probably should have brought it up OOC rather than fucking up the game and being passive-aggressive IC, and the GM should've thought this was a possibility when setting up the scenario. so I'm not really trying to lay blame at your feet, and I'm not trying to claim that nobody should be allowed to play that scenario out, just that you shouldn't be surprised or upset when people reacted that way to your obviously socially repugnant plan.

CR is odd with the half and third monsters. Looking at a guy blind warrior two, I'd eyeball it at cr 1/2 and call it a day. The cr system is mostly guidelines anyway, go with what works and don't sweat the little details like this one.
