do like every cancerous miata owner and get a dildo shift knob.
I can help you find it. It should be in the center of the car, right in front of the center console.
Peugeot 308
just bought it - '08, on 70 000 km, petrol, 120 hp
general thoughts?
>peugeot
hahahah oh wow
As boring as it can get. Why even ask for opinions? Surely you do not have any interest in cars if you buy a 2008 peugeot with just over 100 hp
shit niggas sorry for making a thread on your precious board asking for some opinions on the car, in case anyone's owned similar or the same

Supposedly, in China, motorists are more likely to run someone over again after hitting them the first time. Is this true?
http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/foreigners/2015/09/why_drivers_in_china_intentionally_kill_the_pedestrians_they_hit_china_s.single.html
If so, I don't know what to say about my fellow man, except that he needs a good ass-kicking.
Don't get started watching chinese surveilance videos of fatal pedestrian accidents then. Basically their system works out that they have the opposite of what we call good samaritan laws.
Yeah it happens daily, there is a sociopathic society over there, and its absolutely disgusting.
Theyre subhuman trash and they see each other as so

So go for a drive outside your city?

>>16005257
What city? I'm still exploring SF and Oakland.
>shitbox due for on oil change
>garage is already frigid cold
>no sign of warmup in forecast
Go for a quick drive and then change the oil
>drive around
>Heat oil up
>Position yourself directly under drain plug
>Dump entire oil pan out on to your chest
>Bathe in warm engine oil to warm yourself up

Gloves and or a space heater in the garage.
Also try aiming it under the car for a bit or use a fan to push warm air under it.
Lay down an old rug/carpet remnant
My father ran his car until the engine stalled and ran out of gas (long story). I filled his tank his to 6 gallons and the car will not start. When I put a rag filled with fuel up the intake it starts. The fuel pump is fine the ignition is fine
Tldr how can I bleed air from the fuel lines to get it back to the engine? It's a northstar v8 2004 Cadillac
>>16005184
how long did you crank it for?
it can take a while for pressure to build back up.
Do you hear the fuel pump prime?
>>16005402
The pump is priming. I want to disconnect the supply and return fuel lines next to the engine until the air is gone like pic related. The pump seems to be okay.
>>16005425
why? its just air. keep cranking, it will start.
Waiting on craigslist ads and came across this thing for $1900:

worth or not? the extra body work would probably take 20-30 hours and cost another $2000 (lift, welding, actual tyres)
pic definitely not related

I just asked him about the engine. hoping it's the I6 carb.
also, is there really no satiating you people? on the last jeep thread i posted, i was apparently OK since i was going to get a CJ7 from '85 and as long as it's "after 2004", it's good.
but apparently 1991 is where the soviet union and chrysler collapsed

It depends. What's your other car? These make a good DD if you can find one that has been adult owned and not crashed and with a manual trans. If I already had a reliable DD i'd get something less practical.
What do you do when you want a car with manual and automatic options, but the automatic has a faster 0-60?
>generalization
Depends on the car.
The fact that it's a bit faster literally doesn't make any difference unless you're at a drag strip or being a douchebag at a stop-light.
The whole point of using an anachronism like a stick shift is for the hell of it because you enjoy rowing the gears. Maybe at one point in the past when automatic transmissions were still dogshit at trying to go fast in a straight line the typical person might have went with a manual for better acceleration and getting up to speed, but that's no longer true.
If you just want a quick car and you don't give a shit about rowing gears, then get the automatic. If you like rowing your own gears, go for the manual regardless of the fact that it's slower.
>>16004982
automatic if you're ready to cut off your balls and start wearing a thong
manual if you still consider yourself a man
Just got quoted $600 for the following service on my car from VW, am I being overcharged?
Sparkplugs
Air filter
Dust and Pollen filter
BG Brake fluid flush
Oil Change and Filter
I dunno, seems high to me...
Sounds about right, if it includes labor.
>>16004907
is that a tune up for you?
my audi tune up costs 250-300 and includes more than that
>>16004907
why aren't you doing everything except brake fluid flush yourself?
