>replacing the bulky stock steering wheel in 80s-90s mid size sedans/ compact wagons with nice and sleek minimal aftermarket wheel with no airbag

So it's looking like I'm going to have to be replacing my dear PT Cruiser soon. Yes, I know, ha ha PT Cruiser. Thing is, I'm very used to the car and I enjoy most of its amenities (minus the gas mileage). What kind of cars do you think a Cruiser enthusiast freak like me would be satisfied with?
>>15995428
Chevy HHR, obviously
Scion Xb

Gracias amigos
I guess the chances of someone knowing are low, but I may as well ask.
Does anyone have the peak exhaust manifold pressure numbers for the stock twins on the RX-7?
You'd think that'd be something that's well documented, but I can't find it anywhere.
>>15995404
32 psi
>>15995404
You mean intake manifold? They boost to 10 psi I've owned an fd for several years
>>15996764
He quite clearly stated exhaust manifold.
OP, you'd need to measure it yourself.
But the pre turbine pressure is likely to be close to the inlet manifold pressure.
Don't you guys feel embarrassed knowing pic related weighs only 330 pounds and produces more than 240 horsepower to the wheel? Meanwhile you shill the S2000 like it's the next coming of god when in reality it's some underpowered, overpriced, worthless pile of dog shit.
>>15995207
If you were a biker and knew shit you would know that 240 horse on the street isn't fun when opening it up would land you in jail with your license revoked and bike impounded.

Isn't there a containment thread for you fags?

What do you guys think of the new Civic Hatchback?
Looks like an uglier accord crosstour

I live in Calgary Canada and I just dropped $1000 (shit exchange rate right now) on Nokia Hakkapeliitta R2 snow tires because I got talked into them by the salesman.
My original intention was to get the Michelin X-Ice Xi3's which would have come out to be $150 less.
Did I just get scammed out of an extra $150 because I'm a gullible idiot?
>>15995019
Just wait for MightyBenz
I reckon, even if the Hakka's are superior, the Michelins would be more than "good enough."
I paid about 750 in taxed-to-shit Ontario for a set of Blizzak WS80's, so it seems I didn't get raped on that
Vancouver BC Canada here. we do just fine with all seasons while the rest of canada gets snowed in
V/o/lvos are the ultimate wagon prove me wrong

No, you're absolutely correct.
>wagon
Just die already grandma you shouldn't even drive anymore
I'm looking to spend about 25k on a hot hatch, which could land me with a 12-13 golf r.
I'm looking to be talked out of this decision.
I want some that can do 0-60 in about 5 secs
AWD is a major bonus
I like the refined look of the r. Between the touch screen and the nonagressive body style, it is both respectable and fun.
Can anyone suggest a better car without spending much more than 25k?
>buying a German car out of warranty
Just get a Focus ST.
>>15994812
Mazdaspeed 3 for 10k.

Why the ST over even a WRX?
Not sure if anyone here is interested/has knowledge of 4 wheel drive issues, but I'm stumped.
I have a 2005 F150 FX4, I have replaced all ball joints and wheel bearings. Also recently replaced both outer tie-rod ends and cv shafts. I put new struts and coils in the front that give me a 1" lift in the front. Since the install I have a slight clicking in when turning left. This clicking used to be when turning right, as i had one cv shaft that was ready to be replaced. Also had one bad wheel ends, and replaced both along with the vacuum actuator. I have good vacuum at both wheel ends and still cannot figure out what is causing the clicking. Please help
Could one of the ball joints perhaps need lubrication?
no sir. they are well greased. greased them before i took it off the jack and started having this problem in fact.
>>15994603
Is it just a single click when you start turning to the left, or continous?
Does it occur both when moving and standing still, or in just one scenario?
Ever gotten a non-Maaco paint job (full)?
How much did it cost?
Thinking of saving up for a full paint job due to all the battlescars
Remember: NOT the pic
I haven't had it done, but most cars I've seen where the owner claimed it (4-5) was resprayed, it had lots of issues like:
- bubbling/rust
- runs
- overspray on trim or in jambs.
That doesn't include things like orange peal which I think are minor.
Just remember, you get what you pay for and the new paint will never be as strong as the factory paint. Don't shuck out less than $3k - it will be shit.
painting a car is easy. the prep sucks and is much harder (more effort) than paint.
>>15994548
DO NOT CHANGE COLORS with the cheap Maaco paint job. It is a shitty single stage deal and they don't do it under the hood or inside the doors or anything. If your shitbox paint is fucked from the sun and you want it to look respectable for a year before it dies, go for it but get the same color.
I want to invest in a nice set of tools. I have a hodge podge collection of Craftsman and Kobalt wrenches, sockets, and screwdrivers, but now I'm in a situation where I have the fund to really get a nice tool box and fill it with things I would need for most projects. What does /o/ use? Snap-On? Craftsman? You tell me what's good.
old proto
armstrong
stahlwille
all very good. some people love cornwell. i hate mac and snap on. their stuff is less hardened
>>15994559
At the shop it's a mix of snapon, cornwell, and MAC. Some cheap shit (like magnet bowls) are from Harbor Freight.
>>15994504
95% of Snap On stuff will be a huge waste of money for your garage at home. But if you want to waste the money, go for it. I can't say I wouldn't want a garage full of Snap-On stuff if I had $80k to spend on tools.
You should buy a nice Kobalt or Craftsman set, a good box or two, and spend the rest of what you would spend on a Snap On socket set on a nice compressor and air tools.
What about one of these with a bike engine?
They weight like half a ton stock.
Would it be like a MR caterham or will it suck?
I think that a little preparation works wonders on them. Backets, oversized fenders, etc.
Can be obtained for peanuts in my area.
Thoughts?
>>15994469
do it if you can
They have to remain chain driven if you do the swap.
>>15994485
Honestly I don't know barely anything about them. Just like the abarth versions. You mean that the car is chain driven stock or that I have to maintain bike's chain mechanism?
I would love to put a big twin in. Sporty abarth versions were twin pot too IIRC.
What the hell is this?
an early Alpine A310

>>15994446
