is it true that in Europe, you have to pay MSRP when buying a new car?
i don't know
Nope. Dad managed to haggle down 2k on his Octavia. It was a special from the factory lmao
Possibly
What kind of car is this? The blue one.
>>16009531
1993 honda civic dx
>>16009531
It's a Dodge Caliber you daft cunt.
>>16009531
they're all blue
Are there more cars like these where an automaker has explicitly forbidden anyone from lapping their car around a track?
Even Ferrari hasn't sunk this low. This is something an Arab supercar company would do.
>>16009483
What are you even talking about?
>>16009483
So why don't you start with posting one?
>>16009483
I don't think that's legally valid.
Britfag here
I've been given a car by my grandmother (Kia Picanto 2009). Its a granny car and I'm never going to drive it so I figured I should try and sell it privately. Its got literally 8,000 miles on it after 7 years and is pretty much perfect condition other than a few scuffs on front bumper.
How much of a selling point is a ridiculously low mileage? I'm going to get 12 months MOT done as another selling point.
I basically just need advice for selling a car privately and then buying my first car with the proceeds. I don't want to trade in if I can help it as I will get much less and I think the car is perfect for a first time young driver so should sell.
Also, recommendations for used car around £2000 which is cheap to insure?
>>16009443
import a twingo.
>>16009443
Too late you've already got your first car. Cherry popped, sorry it wasn't the Miata of your dreams but you don't get you're hymen back.
Also you don't ask a perfectly good car from your grams when you're a penniless shit with no idea what you're doing. You're going to lose and lose hard. Spend some money on osg and thank your grammy you ungrateful millennial shit.
You fucking delusioned boomer
When did he say that he never thanked his nan? When did he say that he expected a miata or whatnot like over the pond?
I doubt that his nan would be angry that he sold the car, it's not a family treasure, it's a little kia that she gave to him knowing that he could sell it
Anyways OP I doubt you'll get a lot on it, these depreciate like hell
How do you particularly feel when you realize the fact that you'll never own your super expensive dream car?
>>16009324
>super expensive
lol no
>Tfw my dream cars are gaining in price tho
Feels fuck it.
>>16009324
Work harder, smarter, and vote Trump. Opportunity abounds. No reason to dwell on what could had been when you can work on what could be...
>>16009324
But Caymans are slowly dropping in price, thanks to the fact that every couple of years there is a new one. You can also get a decent Esprit or Elise around 25k € if you are a masochist.
what is the general consensus on the Honda CG125?
newer model
>>16009312
It's a motorbike
>>16009342
thanks
Just got my first memeobile standard car. It's been two weeks and I'm getting a little more comfortable daily driving it. But I stalled a few times today because I panicked after rolling back on a small incline at the bank. I rarely have to deal with hills in South Carolina, and I don't really have anywhere to practice hill starts unless I sneak into a parking garage or something late at night.
Kind of like the tachometer, after driving auto for 15 years I've never used the handbrake until I got this car.
Any tips?
>Any tips?
pull it, stand still.
release it, start going
no tips, just a simple sequence of events to remember.
1. Handbrake on
2. fast idle, keep the engine revving at a constant 2-3,000 RPM (depends on the vehicle obviously). This stays constant and doesn't change.
3. Get the clutch to biting point, this is the point where the clutch begins to send torque to the actual wheels, you will know this is happening when with the engine revs dip a little bit, hold this.
4. slowly release handbrake
5. slowly release clutch.
It's that simple, just practice that sequence and you'll have it in 5 minutes.
Brake on, fast idle, biting point, release brake, fully release clutch.
>>16009284
>I've never used the handbrake
Fucking Americans, I hope you get run over by your own fucking car like that Star Trek actor.
Well /o/, I've fucked up entirely. I think I fucked up my life and my parents are ready to boot me out of the house, this is all because of /o/'s favorite meme car, the AE86. My parents gave me spending money for graduating college with a score higher than a 3.5 GPA. I truly thought hard on what to spend the cash on and I was browsing craigslist's for weeks, then my parents suggested a nice sporty car that wouldn't break down on me. Lo and behold, I thought an AE86 would be a perfect car, especially after browsing /o/ throughout my college life.
So I began the hunt and went through countless rust boxes, "I know what I've got", "No low ballers" and "I know what've got!". After growing tired of searching I found the perfect "cheap one", it looked like a steal. I went to pay the owner a visit, it was some old lady whose husband had passed away and had the car sitting for quite a while, she didn't specify how long but it didn't matter to me being the dumbass I was, I didn't even ask what engine it was, where the rust spots were or any specific important questions about it. I bought the car straight away with pure emotion, I spent $7,500 fucking dollars.
>mfw I found out the car had the weaker 4AC engine and NOT an actual 4AGE Twin Cam
>mfw I was defected by police because of rust all over the rear causing the hatch to fly open when I was driving home
>mfw my uncle says he can definitely tell the head gasket is going to blow at any second
>mfw the CV joints are popping.
My parents are fucking mad and I'm stuck with this piece of shit Corolla, car looks like pic related.
> My sides
In all srsns paint it panda coloured and sell it on to some other weeb for 10k
>>16009219
this
You bloody nob head
You bought a car for memes? Good lord
Post your car and decide whether you would want to live in it.
As much as I love this thing, sleeping would be the most uncomfortable thing in the world.
>>16009009
Totally would with a small camper and a moto hitch carrier.
>MK1 Focus 3 door
It would be possible I'm sure, not really comfy though. I know the back seats drop. but the front seats don't go very far forward or backwards.
>2nd year at university as engineering student
>had Mazda 3 that my sister somehow managed to wreck back in January while I was gone
>my folks say they'd get me something nicer to drive for next year (under $8K)
>want something decently fun to drive, that's not a cuckmobile
>decent reliability with parts that don't cost an unreasonable amount (I'm sure as fuck not getting Jew'd by mechanics)
>FWD/AWD sedan because I'd rather not do pic related in the winter
Was thinking an Audi A4 Quattro (B7), Subaru Legacy GT, Saab 9-2X Aero, Infiniti G35X, Acura TL, Volvo S60...suggestions?
S60 or the Subie because fuck winter
The volvo will probably have a cuck tier viscous center diff and be mildly gay in the winter. Where do you live? Obligatory "RWD isn't that bad". I campaigned my FC through that last winter in virginia which was pretty bad (for here) on 185 all-seasons and only nearly lost it once.
Scooby doos are cool though. Maybe an oz rally lancer if you can live with it never being an evo? A Galant would be cool too, if you could find a VR4 that'd be ultimate but good luck.

How hard do people work in auto plants?
At Ferrari, they have the most leisurely job imaginable.
At max output plants, you'll be as stressed as in any other job.
Depends
>plant is in western Europe or the USA
all-mighty unions make all the decisions, few working hours, early retirement, etc
>plant is in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, or eastern Europe
everything terrible you've read about how evil the industry is
>>16008781
Well if its the plant in your pic, not hard at all
I signed paperwork for a used car. I changed my mind and now I want to buy a new car. Can I go back and ask them to change it? I'll be spending nearly twice as much money.
Ask them dipshit
>>16008645
>>16009083
Ask them, but most likely they will force you to trade in the current car, so they can book two sales this month. Your best bet is to try to negotiate a better deal as a repeat customer.
>>16008645
Nope.
You dun goofed.
Millennials are terrible decision makers.
Ask me anything, more than willing to give honest answers.
am 22, self made and made my own cash from scratch. This is my dream car.
Can you crash it into a pole?
you know the drill, bread on hood.
>>16008563
Bread on hood or fuck off back to your habbo faggot fantasy.

>>16008522
I have one of those in horizon 3. It's a piece of shit.
>>16008522
My friend has had one for almost 5 years now, only catch is that its engine is missing.
He once tried to ride it down a huge hill out of gear, and surprise surprise, it was a pretty bad idea.
>>16008542
can you roll it in the game
