Heres the deal, the semi automatic was never invented
Its 1930 and the military are looking at replacing their m1903 with a revolving rifle for some troops
How do you perfect the revolving carbine?
>design the best combat ready revolving carbine
You can use any modern technology including sights and what not but it must be at heart a revolver rifle
>>31168992
Well first off you gotta make sure the cylinder is sealed when the trigger is pulled.
>>31168992
>Has to be a Revolver rifle
>Not a lever gun
>Not a bolt action/straight pull with fixed/detachable magazine
>Not a pump action with a detachable magazine
You suck
Caseless ammunition and speedloaders, the cylinder has witchcraft/good engineering which makes it work as a heatsink

>Chinese airspace industry groups and Wukelanan Antonov state-owned enterprises reached consensus at Beijing's Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, the two sides on the world's largest transport aircraft A-225 was officially settled in China signed a cooperation agreement. After signing the agreement, Chinese airspace Group will receive A-225 including engines all technical drawings and property rights.
>China Airspace Industry Group also signed a cooperation agreement with Sichuan Luzhou municipal government and Guigang city government, the two sides will build the A-225 aircraft production base in Luzhou City and Guigang. China Airspace Industry Group President Zhang Yousheng said the production base will be built is only the largest, matching the most complete, most technologically advanced comprehensive base around the world, is the world's large transport aircraft manufacturing companies.
>It is understood that, A-225 transport aircraft carrying the weight of the world's largest cargo plane, owned by Ukraine. Soviet-era Antonov Design Bureau developed as the Soviet space program equipment transportation purposes, A-225 transport aircraft can carry oversized cargo, designed to reach maximum load of 300 tons, the maximum endurance capacity of 13,000 kilometers, its load than the United States maximum transport large 161 tons. A-225 transport aircraft is currently only one in the fly, this cooperation will make it back to life.

China and Ukraine/Antonov have a long standing working relationship. This is especially evident in the Y-20's nose design, which is basically inspired by the AN-70.
>technology licence including engines
Not surprising given China is now starting their own state engine company iirc.

So I've just got into University and I'll be living alone in a month, can any of you guys tell me of a weapon that's non-lethal and easy to obtain for self-defense?

According to the firearms blog quoting a source the frenchies choose the HK416 as their next assault rifle, replacing the FAMAS
http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2016/08/30/breaking-next-french-infantry-rifle-german-heckler-koch-reportedly-wins-french-aif-rifle-competition/
>>31168438
There's already a thread. Check the catalogue.
>>31168438
Cool. I see no issue with that. HK has displayed fine skill in manufacturing and general reliability.
>woo-hoo civilian FAMAS?
>>31168445
If I had to guess, I'd say that the 416 was cheaper. HK is expensive, but the SCAR sure is even more expensive - without enough bells and whistles that justify the higher price.
Why are there so many obscure calibers out there and why are there people that buy guns chambered in those obscure calibers?
Why not stick to the common stuff like .308 and 5.56?
>why didn't everybody who made guns ever magically know of my arbitrary standards?
Fuck you it's fun.
I like shooting my 8mm Steyr and you can't tell me what to do this is America
>>31168274

It just makes no fucking sense.
Why the fuck would you use a rifle chambered in 7mm instead of .308? Why? There's no reason to use obscure shit.
This hunk of junk has been killing pilots willy-nilly for the past 20 years. I just checked the official statistics, and apparently 244 of them have crashed over the years, that's 244 out of 1480 or 16.5%.
WHY THE FUCK IS THIS PLANE STILL BEING OPERATED!? WTF! SERIOUSLY!
Carrier landings.
One just crashed in Switzerland killing the pilot.
Junk American made shit, that's why.

Hey, /k/.
I'm looking for evidence of the Krag rifle being used in WWI, specifically in France. I know about the engineering regiments deploying with Krags in 1917 and photographs of them with these Krags in Britain, August 1917, but I don't have any photos of them in France.
These regiments arrived in France before the end of August 1917. Several authors say that the Krags were in American hands at the Battle of Cambrai. However, no one presents any documentation of this.
Othais from C&Rsenal thinks they were immediately replaced with Berthier or Enfields. I think they served the engineers until being replaced by a known shipment of over 7000 M1903 Springfields in November 1917.
So -- do any of you have photos of Krags in France?
Othias is probably right. Springfeild National Armory and the post-war commission were unable to provide samples of Krag rifles deployed to the war outside of those that had gone to the UK, and there's no evidence any new .30-40 Rounds were procured for the ADF, which was abnormal as the Army had already relocated .30-40 to obsolescence some time earlier and had been producing .30-03 and after. .30-06 for enough time that there would not have been a need for it.
>>31168148
The US Army was still buying .30-40 ammunition from Remington-UMC through 1918. Othais has less specific circumstantial evidence than I do. We know that several of the 12th-17th Engineers deployed to Britain with Krags and 80 rounds of .30-40 Krag each. I'm specifically looking for evidence of what happened to those Krags between the engineers landing at the end of August 1917 and when we know they were all issues Springfields in November.
From Mallory's *The Krag Rifle Story*:
"Thousands of Krags were taken to France with the Railway Engineer troops.A listing of the numberof M1903 rifles shipped to Railway Engineer units in the AEF in Nov.1917 to replace their Krag rifles gives some indication of the number of Krags in France. The total for the 10th,15th,16th,17th,18th,and 19th Engineers was 7,597 rifles."
>>31168148
Also,
"The vast majority remained stateside for training purposes, although some 2,000 Model 1898 Krag rifles were taken to France during the war by the 10th-19th Engineers (Railway). There is no evidence that any were used by front-line combat units."
--"U.S. Krag-Jorgensen: The Foreign Rifle" by Bruce Canfield, American Rifleman, Monday, October 11, 2010. ( https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2010/10/11/us-krag-jorgensen-the-foreign-rifle/ )
Othais wants "hard evidence", though -- like a photograph or a document from the Army demonstrating beyond a doubt the Krag was in France.
Hey /k/,
I'm working on a VR survival horror game and I wanted some suggestions for guns. I know absolutely nothing about guns, so I thought maybe some of you could have some more creative choices. The game takes place sometime before the year 2000 in an abandoned slum city, so you could easily run into a gun that hasn't been in use for a long time. Due to VR limitations, I want every gun to be one handed use, so unfortunately that probably means no shotguns.
The guns I need are: a really weak pistol (maybe pocket pistol), a stronger pistol or revolver, a very strong one handed gun (maybe desert eagle), and a submachine gun

Jesus was not an advocate of nonviolence. Nope, he never said a word about it. In fact, we have him on record behaving violently -- in all four gospels! While he often avoided violence, this does not mean he taught an ethic of non-violence.
If we are going to set the record straight, we need to look at those parts of the gospels that are used to support the non-violence claim, as well as those that refute it.
Jesus taught, "If anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other also" (Matthew 5:39). However, the word used here is the Greek ῥαπíζω (hrapizo), which refers here to an open hand strike. Jesus is saying, "If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to him the other." This is not about self-defense at all; a slap in the face is an assault on your honor. Jesus was prohibiting escalation, not a response to a violent assault.
>tl;dr read the bible. It's packed cover to cover with hardcore men of god who slayed their enemies without mercy or remorse.
>thinking Christianity in anyway ever prohibits the use of lethal force
In fact it's quite the opposite. It commands us to rid the world of evil, non-violently if possible, but the use of extreme and brutal violence against the wicked is absolutely encouraged.
