Does the US military have artillery and rocket divisions like Russia and China do?
I seen people arguing about it somewhere and I wasn't for sure.
Pic semi related I guess.
>>32098149
not divisions, but they have regiments and battalions. Divisions in both Russia and China can sometimes be a misnomer, sometimes the name and the actual unit don't match up. in China there is a Division that has/had the name Second Artillery Corps but is in charge of all nuclear missiles.

I wish Canada had rocket Artillery. Being field artillery is gay. Just humpin rounds and losing hearing all day.
Division level artillery connotes the pieces are grouped together or have to go through extra hassle to communicate with the front line.
At least in the 80s when artillery sensing tech was being tested and fielded that means one battalion level battery could ass blast gommies like it was whack a mole on lean

I'll just leave this here.
what do these moon runes say? also, thoughts on the jcomp? what else is good in this price range?

It's what I just got in the mail as well for my first build. Looks neat, seems well-built, and I've heard good things. Probably the best offering out there for a decent comp instead of just going for an A2 if you want to go cheap.
>>32097581
great design, but they fucked it up when they laser etched their shit logo onto it.
Shits still fucked, but they appear to be using actual logic this time
>Implying it changes anything
>Implying Tories, Labor and Greenies won't bury it

If nothing else though, it seems like a slight reduction in red tape, legalising airsoft, and the property letter loophole is still there
>>32097568
legalizing airsoft?
That's actually pretty tits lad. Say what you want about the autists shitting on it on this board, but it's pretty fuckin fun.
Glad you guys are getting things at least somewhat sorted out.

It's helped that aside from the Adler political fiasco, the gungrabbers have been getting shut down regularly. Most shooters are playing the long game, mostly because Aussies don't give enough shits about anything for radical change
Another bit of good news with this, and our main point of retardation - WA has a law that let's guns be banned, by name, if they resemble military firearms. So the HK R8 bolt action, or WFA1 straight pull (which kinda looks like an AR-15) are banned here.
Well, the review wants the appearance clause removed, and have it based purely on function. This also was applied to the more restrictive categories of firearms which might get more leeway, so more access to semi auto rifles. And maybe suppressors too
>>32097568
I don't understand why all the aussie shooters haven't moved to NZ yet
> no dangerous animals
> temperate weather instead of fucking perpetual desert
> god tier gun laws compared to anywhere in AUS
If you've got whatever the lowest class of license in Aus is, you can transfer that to an A-Cat license here and boom, all the semi autos you want with no registration or waiting periods.
Why do you put up with that shit?
Thoughts?

Did the move not tie up all the strings? Or is it unrelated to marky mark and the gun bunch?

We metro now.
So, while riding around the country with a friend of mine we got to talking about the current state of warfare. Like terrorists and such, and one question remained unanswerable: Where do they get all the ammo?
Slavshit can be explained, Russians in Afghanistan, and them having support for Assad and blackmarket guys in Russia getting stockpiled shit, pretty easy for that.
But then it continued, then I considered how many times I have seen stuff like MG-42s and stg. 44s out there, and a whole fuckton of other stuff, but I will use those two as an easy example.
But for ammo like 7.92x57 there isn't stockpiles like the Russians have, or any proper manufacturer that could get ammo like that out to them.
But even more so, how do they keep feeding their artillery pieces? How is there still any ammo left to keep fueling these wars after nearly 20 years of these constant wars of rebels on rebels and terror groups?
It boggles the mind to think that there could be an underground arms trade so large to fuel wars this big in the Middle East and Africa.
So how can all this be, /k/?

Slightly too neutral to be interpreted.
Neutral, you say?
Can you really call yourself a gun enthusiast if you don't completely strip your weapons down to their bare minimum components?

yes

In PA they are a prohibited offensive weapon and possession is a misdemeanor 1 crime.

I heard you are better off carrying a roll of coins to clench. Brass knuckles hurt the user.
If it was the mid 1930s what would be the coolest weapons a squad of government agents could collect to fight criminals with?
Doesn't have to be necessarily historically accurate in the sense of "the actually used these weapons" rather more what would be feasibly available for them to acquire at the time?
I'm thinking of running a pen and paper game set around that time and want some accurate guns to use and information about them.
>>32092952
Tommy gun.
>>32092962
Well obviously that, as well as a 1911 pistol.
What was the go to shotgun for pulling out of the patrol car's trunk back in that era?
What kind of revolver was most common among the police force back then? I'm not a revolver guy so I don't know much about them.

Gun show stories?
Last week I went to a gun show that was held locally.
>walking around asking if I can see a few guns that I've never had the chance to hold
>everyone says yes and lets me fondle their guns
>get to one, SCAR chambered in 308 in great condition for $900
>did a full check on it, everything was good
>the guy lets me think about it for a few minutes, he can see that I'm perspiring
>comes back and says "well?" in an impatient tone
>"I'd love to, but I don't have the cash right now-"
>he takes it from my hands and places it on the table
>does an about face (seriously) and walks away without saying a word
>I was going to say that I can go get some if he would wait a few minutes
>"fucking whatever asshole" as I walk away
>later that day
>come to one of the most fuddish fudds that I have ever been unlucky enough to see
>dude is still selling anti obama/biden '08 bumper stickers
>but he's got a 1903 in beautiful shape
>he lets me hold it
>"educates" me about it
>'you know, the commie seven point six two rimmed bullet was designed so that if the commies ever captured Americans in WW2 they would be able to use our Springfield 1903 ammo in their guns'
>try not to giggle as I say thanks and give him back the rifle
These threads are usually entertaining, so lets get one going since its been awhile.
Bumping, that's a pretty funny story OP, I just never want to pay the entrance fee for these to hear a lot of fuddlore and bzzzrtt
