Hi points are essentially the cheapest still safe guns. They won't literally explode on you. They are incredibly cheaply made. I got a blister on my finger from ones trigger, it was just so sharp and unfinished, like dollar store toy level molding. It's also really big and heavy for a single stack magazine.

The difference between a hi point and a Glock or XD or M&P is fit, finish, quality, reliability, enjoyment of use. Everything. Literally think of any other consumer product and the absolute cheapest, like Chinese bazaar cheapest version and the higher quality versions.

Also, used Hipoints, in Atlanta. If you WERE going to buy a gun that was used in a murder, that would be how you get one.

Not enough information in the OP to help us help you out. How from center of bore to center of sights? Are you shooting factory ammo? If so, who made it? If not, need muzzle velocity and ballistic coefficient. Also, why zero at 200? With a 3000 fps load on an 06 you can get out to 300 yards MPBR (maximum point blank range, meaning the longest shot you can keep impact point within 3" above or below point of aim). With a 200 yard zero, MPBR drops to 255 yards.

The US chose depleted uranium instead of ceramic to use as the armor for Abrams tanks, but only because DU was cheaper than ceramic. Ceramic is actually more effective amd lighter.
