No I won't watch your video.
They're not holding the gun correctly. I've shot one while out on safari hunt wit my dad and it's pretty controllable.
I love the full video because everyone looks like they're having a blast.
>innamichigan

>Nobody ships BP to Michigan
>I don't live near a Cabela's
A-at least we won't get an AWB, right? RIGHT?
>>32086081
Do they refuse to ship blackpowder substitutes as well? Also, what about antiques that use blackpowder cartridges?
>>32086097
Afaik, people still ship antiques.
It's just the new-production Cap&Ball that every online store refuses to touch with a 10-foot pole.

So I fell into Hickock 45 and his shilling and bought a Glock 19, gen 3 brand new for 480. How was your day /k/? Also, recent acquisitions?

>>32087855
Damn where did you find one that cheap? I paid 520 for mine at an LGS.
Either way it's a great gun. I have about 300 rounds through mine and I like it the more i shoot it. They don't knock your socks off the second you hold them like some guns do, but it'll grow on you that's for sure.
Why did Napoleonic era cavalry never use grenades as a weapon? I'm sure it would be very effective against line infantry and for breaking squares
>>32085740
how difficult would it be to light the fuse of a grenade at a gallop, while being shot at?
>>32085829
Iron grenades had a very long fuse time, and they could easily light it before engaging the enemy
>>32085740
They did, maybe not as standard issue But I'm sure a darring dragoon tried it.
What's some weird/cool shit I could load into a 12 gauge shotgun shell to shoot at stuff?
literally anything
>>32086805
Lego men
pretty much anything that will fir into a 12 gauge shotgun shell
knock yourself out and make sure to stream yourself making your gun explode
Which one is better scar 17 or mr762?
>>32085689
Scar.
sr25
>>32085689
I like the SCAR. 1.3lb lighter right out of the box. When prices normalize they're around $1000 less as well.
Also the MR762 doesn't have a chrome lined barrel, they claim it's because their barrels are "so good they resist wear and corrosion on their own", but if you think that's anything other than marketing department bullshit, I can't help you.
you are rich and can buy whatever you want for SHTF
what do you get for the following requirements?
>308 battle rifle
>223 combat rifle
>12 gauge
>.45 dedicated silenced handgun
>9mm subcompact
>380 pocket backup

Maybe more because European.
So let's say you have yourself a merry band of neckbands who are all in good physical shape (gym rats, rugby players and national guardsmen for my sake) you all have guns and some gear to match. What things could you train to do to to form a poor to ok "trained" fire team? For the record we just want to prepare for a mild happening sesh, IE become rooftop Korean tier disaster.
This reply isn't to answer your question, but if I wanted to join a militia how would I go about it? I live in Georgia.
Training. Training is more important than anything else. None of you are in decent physical condition most likely and you are exaggerating. This is why I will never join a militia as a former Marine with a couple deployments and a whole lot of experience...
With that said, get some money together and look for schools like this: http://www.valorridge.com/
Should I get a partially serrated knife for general use?
Sure, I have one. Cuts crap that can't be cut with the plain edge part.
Kershaw cryo II
>>32085036
I like full plain edge, easiest to sharpen.
I've always find that anything needing a serrated edge to cut needs a longer blade than a partial serrated knife. Plus if you just make sure you keep your blade really sharp it'll do the trick
Fuckin New York.......

Haven't seen one for a bit so here we go
Things your guns say when you open the safe?
>>32084780
>Safe
Ha. They're tactically placed throughout my house.
>>32084821
You have safes tactically planted around your house? Do you live in a cartoon?
>>32084825
No I don't use safes. Why would I?
590 bucks, ruger blackhawk convertible 357/9mm how'd I do? Also any revolver people out there know if there's any real difference between revolvers that have the cylinder come out for loading vs the ones with a door to load (other than load speed)?
>>32084332
>any real difference between revolvers that have the cylinder come out for loading vs the ones with a door to load
if its got a loading gate theres a 99% chance is singleaction
>>32084414
Does it affect durability or accuracy or anything like that? Very new to revolvers and ik that sometimes fewer moving parts is better
>>32084332
>590 bucks, ruger blackhawk convertible 357/9mm how'd I do?
Could have done worse. Though I imagine the 9mm Luger cylinder was part of the price.
Thing oughta be real cheap to shoot with that.
>Also any revolver people out there know if there's any real difference between revolvers that have the cylinder come out for loading vs the ones with a door to load
Revolvers with fixed cylinders and loading gates are typically single-action only (though not always), if they look like cowboy guns, you can safely assume they're single-action only.
Though the original old Colts weren't known to be the most durable things ever (ask Elmer Keith), Ruger revolvers (most of their revolvers, really) are generally very solidly built, the Blackhawk line being one of the very first revolvers in .44 Magnum, so you can shoot some really fucking hot loads in these with no sweat, if you're into handloading you've got a lot of possibilities ahead of you.
>>32084434
Well, less parts means less things to go wrong, though it also often means a less advanced weapon, a single-shot shotgun is generally near impossible to break, but it's also a very basic and humble kind of weapon with limited use.
The Blackhawk isn't a HighSpeed/LowDrag kind of operator weapon, but that's also not the point, the Blackhawk is good for what it intends to be.
For accuracy, more often than not, it comes down to the user, just practice and git gud I suppose, with the 9mm cylinder you should be able to practice a lot for your money.
I recommend shooting at old tin-cans and shit, very cathartic to see the bullets rip through them and/or send them flying (do clean up after yourself if you do this on a public range).
Overall I'd say you've made a pretty good purchase.

Wonder what he needs the dosh for? Or perhaps he's just tired of lugging that monster about.
He said it himself, he wants a new Chauchat or Type 99 Nambu (both of which are MGs).
>>32084326
Do you think he'll accept scuba gear?
>watercooled vickers converted for 7.62x54mmR
This is like perfect to rent out at Knob Creek or just about any gunrange. I mean you can really let a customer rip with one of these and enjoy this thing.
This is the Kel-Tec P-11 and it’s one of the best little junk pocket guns you can buy. Sure Kel-Tec is the punchline in a lot of jokes and they’re known more for showing off guns that never seems to make it to your LGS, but one gun you can always find is the P-11. This gun has been around since 1995, designed by George Kellgren of Intratec and Grendel fame, this guns was sold as a pocket gun or backup gun. This one was bought used for just $150 with extra mags, pinky extensions, and a belt clip attachment.
The neat thing about this gun is that it also takes the S&W 5906 magazines. So you can easily find 15 or 30 rounders to fit this.
Initially Kel-Tec targeted the LE market trying to lure officers away from backup revolvers and into a small gun that would take their duty magazines. The gun has changed little in the 21 years it has been on the market.
The mag interchangeability also meant you could use pre-ban magazines in the gun, since the Clinton crime bill didn't mandate guns not being able to accept mags of more than 10 rounds.
The new price for these guns has always been in the $249 range, I’ve seen them for as little at $219 new. When you look at this gun next to another small and popular pocket gun, the G26, you can see the size is nearly identical but the Kel-Tec weighs a little less.
Why the fuck didnt they put bulletproof shields in front of the first line?
If they were dumb enough to go group against a group, with firearms, into an open field and shoot at each other from distances and/or charge head on at each other, with melee weapons, why didnt they give a speck of hope for survival to the front soldiers?
What the fuck went on back then in peoples minds?
A cannon is ok to drag along, but shields arent?
>>32083949
>dragging around all that heavy shit
Yeah, having to carry steel jersey barriers sounds fun and all, but no.
>>32083949
>not understanding colonial era tactics, the post
muskets were inaccurate and casualties were low by modern standards. what exactly would they have used in 1812 that would have been bullet proof? life was not valued like it is today in the 18th/19th century
>>32083967
But dragging around cannons and ordinance is fine, right?
