Did someone say Knife Thread?

I thought I told you that you weren't welcome round these parts.
What are some really good general purpose all around combat boots? Wanting to get a pair and also use them for riding my motorcycle.
Are these really good? Is there better on this site?

I bought pic related for 50 bucks at my local mil surplus. Goretex
Out of the three pairs I had issued, Alt-Bergs are by far the comfiest

McRae olive/black Jungle with Panama sole if it's going to be for bike riding. I've never been a fan of altama. Tend to be overpriced and shittily made, from my experience. Cochoran Marauders wouldn't be bad either. Really anything without ripple would be fine I guess.
Well /k/, I finally won a fucking raffle!
$10 and I got a Ruger SR22 waiting to be picked up at a small town general store. I'll be picking it up next weekend.
What I want to know is how anons who have shot or own a SR22 feel about it? I really don't *need* another .22lr pistol but the other raffle options were a new Marlin .30-30 and a new Ruger 10/22 takedown.
Failing that, unexpected acquisitions thread.
>need
give it to me if you don't "need" it

What are the best scope mounts for an sks
>>32115764
No scope mount at all.
>>32115764
a different gun
>>32115764
Rifle is fine.
is it worth it to buy an airsoft gun with a laser to train in your house with it?
ive heard you can get some programs with your camera and a projector that simulate a shooting range.
is it good to practice this way or will the difference in recoil between an airsoft gas blowback gun and a real gun be too different to train the same things?
>>32115672
Hey man, people on this board give airsoft a hard time and idk why. It's great for getting kids in to guns and gun safety and they're fun to play with. I sure as hell enjoyed it as a kid. Don't feel bad about using airsoft so safely oper8 indoors
>>32115847
Airsoft by itself is fine. It seems like you get a lot of fags who play some airsoft, some how believe they're delta, believe that training with airsoft, is the exact same as training with real firearms.
>>32116068
i guess i was referring to training aim, shot placement, double taps, multiple target shooting etc.
my main concern though is that i wont train myself to adequately account for recoil since the recoil of an airsoft gun is obviously alot less than a real gun
Why don't people combined ceramic and steel plates to make a sturdy composite armor like a smaller version of the Chobham armor?
Pic not really related.
Because people enjoy having knees and backs
>>32115282
that's pretty much every vest rated against rifles anon
why can't you use google?
>>32115289
Spalling protection doesn't really count. A part from a couple few, I've only seen either pure ceramics or pure (pardon the spall protection) steel armor.
Can the USA remotely detonate the UK's nuclear weapons?
>>32115007
No.
Retard.
>>32115007
No, because it doesn't work like that.
>>32115007
Yes
And china can remotely blow up everything with "Made in China" written on it. That's why we should never go to war with them, all our troops will just detonate as soon as the touched Chinese ground
I want a good edc knife 75-200 range any recomdations

what the actual fuck?
anyways cold steel has some great stuff for your lower price tag.
I heard that a missile strike on a military satellite, or the sinking of an aircraft carrier, or the sinking of a boomer sub, demands an immediate nuclear retaliatory response. It is to be treated as a strategic WMD strike on US soil.
Is there any truth to this?

I don't know.

Is there any truth to this?
Hey /k/,
Had an idea today.
Would buying a savage axis in .308 and then mounting a red dot scope, bipod and sling be a good deer rifle?
I hunt in brush for the most part but there were a couple opportunities to shoot a deer this year where I'd spot them from over 100yds away, but couldn't shoot them with the 30-30 that was lent to me.
I have the red dot scope already all I need is a picatinny mount.
Good idea or too Bubba?
I'm a poor college student so budget is tight but I still love my hobby.
>>32114111
As a poor college student as well. I'd say save up and buy literally anything that isn't a savage. Link related. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2016/10/24/man-insane-battery-firing-savage-axis-can-happen/
>>32114111
If you are only shooting in 100 yards then you don't need a .308. In fact, a 30-30WCF is perfect at 100 yards and if you are missing with that then you will probably be missing with your 308. Especially when you're only putting a red dot on it. Also doesn't appear to have iron sights, so at least the red dot will make up for that. Everything you are doing just sounds like a bad idea and not really well thought out.

Hey /k/ommandos I am looking to purchase my first raifu. I am torn between a sks, ak, or ar. Which choice is the better option for price, ammo price, and experience?
>>32113447
What's your budget? What are you using it for?
>>32113447
Budget is about $700 and it will be for whatever.
AK is just a better SKS.

Which would be better backpacking open carry sidearm in the michigan wilds?
(under $800)
I'm looking at the Ruger GP-100 (.357 .38) or the Taurus Model 44
The Ruger looks smoother and The Ruger brand seems to have good Reputation,
on the other I'm not familiar the unamerican Taurus brand
(outside of it exploding in videos on youtube)
I had no complaints about the raging bull in .44 I had for a little while.
I aligned the sights on thing.
Squeeze.
Hole appears in thing.
>>32113297
I have a GP100 and I love it.
Try and find a redhawk in .44 if possible, but the Ruger will be more durable in the long run, especially in .357.
Your the us government in 1940s and you have to give one PD anywhere in a nation a LMG to kill gangsters with, pick the LMG and the PD and ask
