HIS MOM IS The Worst Modern Military Rifle. HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT YOU SON OF BITCH PIGGU?

Based Ian putting weebs in their place.
>>32457055
Can we gas the weebs who like this pedo shit?
The M855 is one of the most common 5.56 NATO rounds in production. Why does this round garner so much hate?
>It doesn't frag!
Yeah, out of your 10.5in snowflake SBR.
>It's inaccurate!
Marines can hit shit at 500M. Get good faggot.
>It's dirty!
ANY military ammo is dirty. Clean your rifle faggot.
>M193 is better!
M193 has the same fragmentation as M855, but can't penetrate cover as well.
Why does /k/ shit on this round?
>>32455949
M855 is better at penetrating general cover, but M193 can punch through steel plates.
>it's the guy who owns a ST-15 and couldn't even post links properly again
>>32455949
as a hippy I like m855 because its good for the environment.
So recently I've been doing some research on the F35 and the F22 and from what I can understand it seems like the main advantage of the F35 is that it has the vertical landing capability.
I'm mainly wondering what the head to head advantages are between the 2 (disregarding cost and politics)
In interviews with test pilots they all seem to suggest that the maneuverability of the F22 is superior. And there seems to generally be more praise and excitement over the F22 from aviators but I believe I saw a thread where people were saying the F22 is an air superiority fighter and the F35 is a strike fighter but what does the F35 have that make it better at ground strikes than the F22?
DAS, higher internal payload.

STOVL is only on one variant, the F-35B.
The main advantages of the F-35 over the F-22 are its' sensors and weapons bays, as well as cost, which IS a factor. The main problem with the F-22 bays is that they are too small for munitions bigger than GBU-32.
>>32455488
Additionally, the F-22's maneuverability and speed advantages are mostly irrelevant in a modern BVR engagement.
>Sandy Hook stovepipe
>Aurora stovepipe
>LA robbery stovepipe
>Whole bolt carrier group is two times the size of the bullet
>Large variety of springs, weights, and gas for easy mistakes
>Tiny pins, detents, and springs that like to launch across the room
>Suppression is a waste of time since it breaks the speed of sound
>Can't pistol without the previously mentioned bolt carrier group's recoiling tube extending past the pistol grip length
>anything gets in the star chamber it's jammed and generally has to be taken apart
>Only real interest is cheap bullets and aftermarket
Why do you guys keep buying these?
>>32455413
What's better?
>>32455426
The VEPR system seems to be a good new competition, and even has a great 12 gauge variant. Unlike the AR.

The AK
Good weapons to own if you're a UK prepper?
I hear that paintball guns are a good nonlethal alternative.
Hear from who?
People that have never been in a dangerous situation with a paintball gun before?
Preparing for what?

What are you lad, your refugee bull?
Don't be a fucking idiot and waste your money like a cretin. If shit happens you'll be fucking drafted. I know my regiment is already understaffed.
I just moved to this state, and I like the scenery, but have a fucking gander at these stupid as fuck gun control laws.
https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/feeds/state_reg/colorado_restrictions.pdf
No rifles with over 15 round mags
no semi auto shotguns
no shotguns with more than 28 inches of shells (what the fucking dogshit)
Im from a free state, louisiana, you can own anything you fucking want there and I come to this shithole, and this is what I have to deal with??? Worst part is I live in fucking denver.
Anyone else from CO here, care to give me some insight to buying guns here? Dude I lived in lamar about 6 months ago, and the Big R there had WASRs with 30 round mags. Is it really that much of a difference? The cops there said "those guys in denver have some weird ideas", I had no idea what they were talking about until now. This is fucking bullshit. I was looking at buying a PTR or a Draco. Now idk what the fuck Im gonna do.
Literally fucking fuming right now. Where the fuck do you even buy 15 round mags at? Maple syrup land? Do I have to buy cali compliant bullshit now?
Seriously. Take your legal weed and heroin addictions and stick them up your fucking liberal ass CO. Go fuck yourself. Im a goddamn American you fuck.
You know I drove through Auroura. No fucking wonder that kid shot that theater up. I saw a white crackheaded women running out of a tire shop being chased by her nigger crackhead boyfriend holding a broken beer bottle. I used to live in NO and memphis, and that was the only time Ive ever locked my car door while I was in it. If you ever needed 30 round mags, its in this shithole.
>>32454926
Pretty much every post I've seen in relation to CO mag laws indicates that nobody pays any attention to them.
I was under the impression that the mag ban was in the process of being repealed anyway.
>>32454926
Just go buy a 30 round mag from a local gun store. As for the other two, Buds is just being retarded.
Cluttered story and hollow characters aside, I thought that the production design in R1 was the best we've seen in the Star Wars universe since Episode One.
I'm really digging the U-Wing and especially the new Mon Cal cruiser with that ventral bridge pod with the 180° panoramic views. It reminded me of something from Homeworld.
So what does /k/ think of all the new shit that debuted in Rogue One?
not weapons related. fuck off to >>>/tv/ with your shilling.
>>32453405
Not a shill. Went in hating R1, came out thinking it was another phantom menace (shitty story, awesome production design)
/K/ seems like a better place to let my starship autism shine.
>>32453415
>not a shill
>writes /k/ wrong
/m/ would be the proper board
Got pic related for Christmas (RCBS rock chucker supreme) to reload rifle rounds. My LGS advised something more sturdy than my Lee pro 1000 that I use for pistol (which sucks, but gets the job done. Especially when I paid $150 for a progressive press with dies and everything else I need)
My question is what is /k/s recommendation for a primer feed and powder feed?
Probably going to go with Lee dies if that makes a difference.
>also; reloading general
Buy used dies when possible. Check Gunbroker, eBay, gun shows.
Lee dies are made to a good standard and set the bar as far as quality goes but there are better options out there. In my experience I prefer in order: Reading (there is a premium for these dies), Pacific (company was bought out by Hornady years ago), Hornady, RCBS, Lyman, Lee. I really do like Lee factory crimp dies though and I have them for all the rounds that I shoot (as long as Lee makes them).
For case lube, I use imperial sizing wax. I shoot some big bore black powder rounds and I have not had a stuck case because of the lube (I have had case heads completely pop off but that is a different issue). I used to use Hornady one shot spray lube and that worked OK but I had some sizing issues with large rifle cases (which is 90+% of what I shoot).
For powder I mostly use IMR4064 but your results will most likely vary. I use whatever primers are cheapest when I am looking. I look for cheapest loadings, not accuracy so staying loyal to a brand is not an issue for me.
I have a Lee press with a Lee priming system (and I really love it) so I can't give you advice when it comes to priming systems.
Reloading is not as hard as some make it out to be (excepting extreme accuracy reloading) but you can kill/maim/destroy your guns easily. Buy reloading manuals.
I am a totally new to reloading. Looking for a good balance beam scale, is there and recommendations or names I should stay away from? So far I found out people don't like the Lee safety scale... I'm starting out with shotgun 12ga and .410. Just looking at a hobby to quit smoking haha
Post em

I really need one of these threads now. Just went to the range for the first yesterday. (Never fired a gun before).
Pic related, it's mine

not bad for the 1st time man, gotta be shitry to get better
/k/
how long can someone prepare for army and possibly SF training?
can someone train to the point where he finds SF courses so easy? if yes, then how for long would that training take?
>>32451993
No. There are parts of SF you CANT train for. Like tasks that are impossible to complete, shit bag team members and peer outs.
Yeah being fot will help, but does flutter kicks while wet and in a sand pit sound comfortable?
Selection isnt hard if your mind is right, even if you are not strong.
Look at Lutrell, the chubby SEAL. He made it into SEALs which is supposed to be super hard.
Vinning was never super jacked.
>>32451993
SF do not have ''training''
They have selection programs. They select you after they test you. Some cut it, some dont. Its not a very good lifestyle anyway why would you want to join?
>>32451993
Look a token nigger in the sf, how cuute
Pop goes the carrier.
COME ON AND SLAM, AND WELCOME TO THE THREE GORGES DAM, COME AND SLAM, ENJOY THE FUCKING JDAMS!

Us pigdog carrier will pop like pork skin in chinese gutter oil. Our lead projectiles will rain blinding smog on your fleet and choke out your determination. And when you think things are squinting up, we will deliver to your mothers and you will be crying babies suckling on baby formula that is your empty unoccupied buildings that is your economy!
Why haven't the mechanical internals of guns evolved intro electric systems?
Doing so could make the trigger of bullpups lighter, faster action, break less, etc..
>>32448428
because all attempts at electronic guts on a gun have not been nearly as reliable as mechanical trigger/ignition , also cost
>>32448428
Probably because people really don't trust electric stuff on guns.
>>32448428
because mechanical things dont need to be recharged, dummy
now everyone point at OP and laugh becuase he wants a gun that runs out of boolits AND runs out of energy.
Alright, I've recently bought an AR, and I'm thinking about setting it up as a HD gun.
What .223 Remington should I use? Should I use a higher grain bullet for more stopping power, or a lighter bullet to make sure it doesn't over-penetrate ?
>>32447544
use nato 223 military surplus rounds. they will be 10 times more deadly
>>32447544
5.56 m193 is the best all-purpose loading.
>>32447544
Gonna second M193 loads (Wolf Gold is an example of ammo loaded like this), it's very potent, and .223 generally doesn't go through walls all that much in ball loadings.
I built this thing a while back, lot of guys liked it, promised an update. Its a ressurrected sten parts kit with various modifications, additions, and alterations made by me.
Shot grouping follows.
This thing is stunningly accurate considering that
A) its a sten
B) i cobbled it together with a hand dremmel and a wire feed welder.
>>32446195
It's time to stop.
>>32446195
Did you base this off of a design or do you have the skills to DIY?
>>32446195
100 yards, 32 rounds, unsupported kneeling position. Obviously my optic is a bit off, but this group stunned the shit outta me. I never thought a sten variant with a barrel that can rotate freely in its bushings could ever pull this off.
We are clocking the 115 grain 9mm fmj el cheapo american eagle ammo we put through it at 1700 FPS.
we need more testing but I think with +P we could possibly hit 2000 fps or higher.
This essentially means that its hitting more like a .357 than a standard 9mm at handgun velocities.
We are very unscientifically placing it at juuuust outside 1 moa, we will need to get a shooting bench, vice, and do actual math, but I think I might have built something truly unique here.
There are dark places on this internet where few men dare tread. I have seen the furthest corners of those shadowy crevices and I return to you my brothers with a sample of the unholy energies which flow forth from this darkness.
As I have played dark husband to the midnight, I am corrupted and changed but I present to you this sample gathered from the void itself:
