Are swords and other melee weapons besides knives /k/ approved?
>>32468951
Only if it's a katana. No need to speak of inferior Western blades.
Yes you dingus.

>>32466923
Whats up bro?
Did /k/ order the gadget for their glock?

>>32466840
This is fucking stupid.
Why doesn't /k/ like .22LR? They good bullets. Deadly at further distance than most people can even aim, therefore great for hunting and self defense. They're also cheaper than most other bullets inlc. the 9mm. I don't see a downside to this kind of ammo.
>>32466810
Everyone loves 22lr, it's great for hunting rabbits and coyotes within reason.
It's not a good self defense round. Rimfires are not reliable and the bullet will not penetrate a heavy jacket. It does not offer anything noteworthy over conventional rounds and is worse in just about every way.
>>32466847
How heavy jackets do you wear?
>>32466810
It's a relatively anemic cartridge that can't be reloaded by conventional means.
I won't shit on .22lr, it's a fun caliber and while it's not ideal for HD and useless for hunting anything larger than rabbits it has its uses. But it really is not ideal for almost anything other than plinking.

>steel costs less than 1/4th what lead costs
>Copper costs less than 3x as much as lead
>theyre completely environmentally friendly and non-toxic meaning less taxes
>if it wasnt restricted, it would barely cost more than a green tip plus everyone on the left AND right would cheer
>This is just one type of new hybrid non-lead superior ammunition
Is this the future of bullets?
Is it actually time to ban toxic lead?
Why dont we use envionmentalists as allies to unban all types of ammo using toxic lead as the unifier?
How are the terminal effects?
>>32466972
good
>>32466711
We'll never see the benefits of the m885a1 ammo being cheaper in the civilian market, federal law has restrictions against armor piercing ammo and specifically bans any armor piercing ammo for handgun calibers.
The definition of armor piercing is also fucky.
Basically if it isn't made mostly of lead it's armor piercing.
So, m885a1 will most certainly be classified armor piercing by ATF, eventually, and when it is they'll straight up ban that shit because there's 5.56 "pistols" and armor piercing ammo for handguns is strictly verboten.
Hey /k/,
I want another leveraction. I don't hunt.
Kinda tempted to get pic related 1895G in 45/70 trump bullets. (45th president 70 years old)
Sorta offput by price of ammo as I don't hunt and it will just be for fucking about and shooting paper but I am planning on reloading soon. (Have press and shit to reload 38/357 for my Rossi 92 in 357 magnum)
What do you recommend I grab?
-45/70 (Pistol grip or straight) Does barrel length matter? Large loop or regular?
-30-30 336 or 1894 winchester (Fired a 30-30 once and it didn't feel too different from 357 magnum with 150gr loads)
-44 magnum or 45 colt (More plinkan)
Which do you think I would have most fun with/easiest to reload?
Another reason I lean towards 45/70 is my love of trapdoor springfield, remington rolling block and sharpes. (browning hiwall too) But I don't have the dosh for these yet.
>>32466550
>>32466550
45/70 is a big round with a lot of power. if you reload for it, its not too bad on the wallet. id like my first levergun and dont know what model or type to get. im looking into uberti winchester clones
>>32466573
What model winchester?
the rossis are rough and BR quality but strong guns.
Uberti are pretty and well made.
Miroku - modern browning are beautifully crafted but aparently have some issues with breakage on hammer parts and are overly complicated.
>Kinda tempted to get pic related 1895G in 45/70 trump bullets. (45th president 70 years old)
Do it faget.
>the S will never HTF
Good.
Go to Somalia if you want chaos so badly. Oh wait, you won't because you'd die like a bitch. Just like you would if SHTF anywhere and you were out being a retard.
>>32465364
Not with that attitude it won't. Be the change you want to see in the world.
Living in the country must be boring as hell judging by how much time conservatives spend fantasizing about getting to murder everyone
So, I have a weapon light... Now what? I've already "cleared" my tiny, 1000 sq ft house a few times. What else should I be doing with this while I wait for a dindu invasion?
gun meme general thread.

It's like your mom OP, don't want anyone to see me with it, but I would play with it if it was laying around.
REMAIN CALM, CITIZEN. THIS IS A ROUTINE CHECK FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE POINTY KNIFE BAN OF 2017

You mean they don't do these already?

I don't live in britain, those cops have no authority here and I think this might be considered an invasion of a sovereign country.
what is it with brits and knives anyway? i mean, really
Lets hear your ND stories.

Happened a few months ago.

mfw I bought him a rifle for father's day last year..
>>32461253
Not that I was necessarily expecting one, but I still hoped.

Tbh I'd rather have this big ass tv.
>Been shooting a lot at the local indoor range
>Start getting bad headaches
>Go to doctor
>Find out I have minor lead poisoning
If everyone from environmentalists to hunters to free market bullet manufacturers to exotic round gun enthusiasts want this toxic element gone and replaced with better alternatives, why the fuck is lead still in every bullet on the market???
Also will Trump fix problems like these?
>>32460465
It's dense and cheap
Wash your hands and stop going to indoor ranges with shit filtration systems
>>32460479
this
just look at steel shot vs lead shot price differences
>10 round magazine law
>bullet button
>"hurr durr assault weapons"

The fucking legislation even proposed that all semi-automatic firearms will be illegal and confiscated. not to mention, the new proposal will make Californians get firearms licenses...
dont forget, one of our city supervisors vehemently wants the Navy Blue Angels out of our city. He also hates American imperialism and the military.
>>32460188
What the ever living fuck is going on in California? It seems to be a hot bed of degeneracy and hyper liberalism and vapid anti-american rhetoric.
Can California even survive without the surrounding states?
>>32460229
no.
California and New York drive more debt than most other states combine.
