>move to Texas for college
>acquire a few guns
>have job lined up in California after I graduate
>will be living with parents in California
>not a single one is California legal because of scary features and uncucked magazines
Not moving back isn't a smart option as the job pays well and rent will be much cheaper living with my parents. I can cuck my fnx45t with an unthreaded barrel and 10 round magazines, but I am not going to register my AR and AK. Should I just buy a large Pelican case and stash my rifles in there, locked?
>>32459150
Don't comply with them fag laws
>>32459172
Not going to comply, but my pistol is going to be my HD weapon, so that has to be 100% legal if I do have to use it.
I made this after it took me all of one week to decide I wanted to own an AR in NY knowing little about guns or that the SAFE act had passed, and then finding what I wanted despite having zero knowlege initially

Ask questions, answer questions, bitch about Air Force recruiters. Just keep it contained to this general.
What kind of shit can you get up to as an officer? Looking at the Navy, was gonna go speak to a recruiter tomorrow.

Assuming that you're American, are there any country that you respect its military?

They're special forces are deadly
Honestly, doesnt the US have one of the worlds least cost effective armed forces?
Especially the Army and Marines, I would assume that the Air Force and Navy does better
>>32459113
you would be wrong. the marines is by far the cheapest branch to run. they are the smallest branch, and the basically operate with hand me down equipment from the other branches.
i am sorry but, 223 is literally a cuck round for dumb grunts who spray and pray on full auto. As a civilian without access to only semi auto rifles, there is no reason why you should be using a intermediate cartridge.

Didn't you post this same exact bait thread a week ago?

As a friendly reminder, every situation where a 556 would be preferable would be better filled by 300 blackout.
556 is literally inferior tier

Well allow ME to play doubles advocate here for a moment. For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go.
How does /k/ think the invasion of Japan in 1945-46 would have gone?
The plan - Downfall - consisted of two stages. operation Olympic would have seized southern third of Kyushu island as a jumping off point. Then Operation Coronet would have been the invasion of the Tokyo area itself.
Olympic would be carried out by about 800,000 man and Coronet by 1.1 million.
The Japanese had deduced this entire plan and prepared their defences accordingly. Haldfway through planning, Allied coomanders were appalled to be told that the Japanese had 12,000 aircraft in reserve, half of them kamikazes. They had estimated around 3,000. If the Japas fought as hard as they had on Okinawa then up to half a million US dead were expected and several million Japanese.
Would the US have had the stomach for this or not?
>>32446205
>Would the US have had the stomach for this or not?
That should be self-evident. Of course not, hence all the firebombing and two nukes.
Seeing as how Korea and Vietnam went in the decades that followed, I wouldn't be surprised if Operation Downfall would have been a total failure either way.
The US decided to massacre civilians instead, so we'll never know.
>>32446205
Perhaps victory by 1947.
At least 250,000 Allied dead. More dead from radiation from tactical atomic weapons on both sides as the allies misunderstood how deadly fallout was. Perhaps the Japanese could sue for armistice, but not likely.
Range Rage of 2016
What's the worst you've experienced this year at the fun range?

>What's the worst you've experienced this year at the fun range?
Getting yelled at by an RO for apparently flagging everyone to my right when handling pic with a suppressor handing off on the end.
That or seeing a guy put a hole in the roof when he doubled up his .454 casul revolver.
Nothing particularly terrible - Just one guy who was particularly obnoxious about what a great shot he was, but he had to leave the range because he got scope eye with his first shot (which, to his credit, did land on target). He couldn't even have held the gun, seeing how it was a suppressed 6.5x55 and shouldn't have any noticeable recoil.
>>32445995
Had a group of young guys stand on top of the bench and hip fire their shotguns. Also, got in the chest by a ricochet from people bring shit to the range to shoot that they aren't supposed to. Needless to say I'm not going back to the range again.
Holy fuck, you guys weren't kidding, this film was operator as hell.
The plot was thrilling and it looked beautiful on top of it all. What are some other great /k/-approved films out there?

If you can deal with a bit of unnecessary "muh colonialism" and anti-apartheid racial shit, the Dogs of War and the Wild Geese are both excellent films about mercenaries in 70s/80s Africa.
Why is it that the world's biggest Empire had such incapable military equipment? Like seriously, It annoys me whenever I see how basic British soldiers were during WW2 in comparison to Germans and Americans. A salad bowel helmet, Seriously?

Incapable?
Most of their stuff may have looked weird or just plain shitty (like their uniforms), but it all worked, and that was enough.
.308 vs 30-06! Which is a better round and why?
30 06 is better because its longer
308 is better because its shorter

I believe some guns are okay to own, like revolvers or single shots, but anything else you should have to go through a lot of hoops and background checks and keep the weapon at a police station. Absolutely no semi autos or worse unless you're Jewish/poc
Most of my money comes from a trust fund
I like music and parties, sometimes I visit family in Hollywood and I can get into any set I want in the company my uncle produces for
I currently shoot whatever my brother owns, he has tons of cool guns from fully automatics to sniper rifles
I don't "train". Only police, military, etc should be allowed to " train". White people who "train" are future school shooters.
I primarily hate all the racism, bigotry, sexism, xenophobia that is on k. Plus there's like virtually no diversity besides muslimbro. I do like the memes though, that's why I started browsing.
Nice try ATF.

p64
>>32461353
There is literally nothing rad about the P-64.
>>32461369
It's extremely accurate and is a cheap ppk copy. The trigger can be fixed. That said, I wish Makarovs were still this price
there are no "rad" guns under $300.
/k/ I had to hide my power level today.
I was bullshitting with my coworker today and we got on the discussion of guns. I started telling him about all the parts I want for my AR.
The second I mentioned a red dot sight he got all piss and started going on that red dots aren't useful at all, that they're literally for Call of Duty wannabe's and that iron sights are much better, etc...
I explained to him the use of a red dot and the fact that our militart uses optics on their firearms.
He completely discredited it and said that the average soldier in any branch uses iron sights in combat. He proceeded to tell me what a fucking idiot I was and that I didn't know what I was talking about.
He literally said red dots have absolutely no use and was created specifically for wannabe's and airsofters.......
I literally had to walk away, I was so lived. Jesus, do these people exist?

I have a few questions about buying a gun. I live in Texas and 25 years old. I would like something for home defense and/or concealed in the 9mm.
I may end up buying 2.
Is there a difference between polymer and steel body that really matters?
I've looked at the CZ 75 full and compact. Beretta compact and full 92.
Jericho 941 F/S model.
Kimber Pro carry.
Any pros and cons to not getting a glock?
Any advice on which one(s) to get or something else.
>>32459933
>Is there a difference between polymer and steel body that really matters?
Yes
If you shoot more than 100 rounds within a short period of time you risk melting the polymer
No significant differences, get what feels /comfy/ in your hand and buy at least 1000 rounds to practice with over your first few months with it. Steel will be a little more difficult to carry and conceal, but will have reduced felt recoil.
