Hello /k/. I want to buy a 22 rifle to plink all day long for cheap. But i also have a huge hardon for service rifles which rules out ruger 10/22 and the likes.
I've read a lot of good things about pic related (walther MP5 A5). Anybody has feedback on it ?
Any other 22 copies of service rifles that may make my dick diamonds ?
>>32452112
I've never had a .22 get me hard, I will never understand that mentality
I have gotten off to a PTR though
>>32452112
Perhaps the ISSC Mk22, it's a SCAR lookalike. Has mixed reviews but looks like if you have problems they're fairly easy to fix. Classic Firearms has a good deal on them at the moment.
>>32452112
I have an HK MP5 22LR. It is pretty awesome. Way better than the 10/22 i used to own. More accurate, higher rate of fire. Just fun to shoot. Get a cheap red ot or something and you couldn't ask for something better for a 22 plinker. Kinda pricey, but overall worth it.
I lost my /k/ folder and i NEED to refill it with aesthetics, post favorite rifles, pistols revolvers, operators, pretty much anything /k/ related. Good chance to dump something you haven't found the right thread for.
>>32452092
Bonus points for 80's and 90's aesthetics
I've bought a stripped AR-15 lower
What now? I don't even know what I want.
You spend ridiculous amounts of time autistically researching every component's pros and cons and then make your decision, in the end spending twice as much as you originally planned.
>>32452052
Maybe I should've just bought a completed ak
I thought it would be cheaper this way but it seems completed guns are cheaper
>>32452064
>I thought it would be cheaper this way but it seems completed guns are cheaper
Not necessarily, if you hunt for deals & don't let yourself be convinced by /k/ that you shouldn't settle for "good enough" parts, you'll be fine.
But the more research you do, the more likely you are to get convinced to spend more money on minor upgrades, which in the end start costing quite a bit of money for fairly little improvement. Diminishing returns, after all.
I found an AK that is 1300 new and the guy is willing to part with it for 850. He wants me to send half the payment before he ships the gun to my FFL....
I have a weird feeling in my gut about this, I was thinking i could have him bring his gun to his FFL, then have my FFL call his FFL to verify he actually has it and then have it shipped? I reverse image searched the pictures of the gun and got no results..... does this sound like a scam? His messages not coming in very proper English either, which is also making me suspicious. If i contact his FFL while the gun is there, is it safe to send half the payment at that point?
Anyone used a good escrow service for Armslist deal before?
Also general Armslist tread, scam thread, and buy/sell/trade thread

>His messages not coming in very proper English either, which is also making me suspicious.
Dropped.
If you're getting a feeling like you're about to get jewed, don't buy.
Don't do it

OP here
He's offering to have me drive to 1200 miles to pick it up in person, and I'm debating on doing that and just CC'ing when i meet him
Where's a decent place to buy a tokarev in Canada? Is it worth it or should I spring for something else? I already have my RPAL so that's not a problem.
>>32451888
you don't need a gun in canada since theres no crime and if you get injured in a mugging you can just get some of that instant free medical attention

Put some nice sights on it, maybe some talon grip tape, and you have a keeper.
>>32451849
could you recommend me some sights by chance? I don't know what to look for as far as that goes
Struggles of a left handed shooter:
>Hot casings landing in the crook of my arm
>All of my reloads are awkward
>Constant fear of the bolt busting my teeth out even though I keep my eye away from the scope
>Have to use my index finger rather than my thumb on pistols
>Left-handed weapons are rare and expensive.
Anyone else feel the same pain?
I don't have a lot of experience with firearms, I only own a couple of pistols ATM.
>With pistols, engaging the safety can be awkward if it's not ambidextrous. Luckily there's an affordable self-loading pistol that is ambidextrous, and that's the Bersa Thunder 9 Pro: ambi slide catch and thumb safety levers, and reversible mag catch/release button.
>With pistols like the 1911, I learned to drop the magazine and hit the slide release with my right hand. I don't even used the tumb safety, the hammer has a half-cock position. I don't carry so it's not a problem.
>With swing-out cylinder revolvers it's awkward since most have a S&W style of cylinder release.
>>32451719
>Hot casings landing in the crook of my arm
Long sleeves nigga
>All of my reloads are awkward
Buy an AK and a VP9, problem solved
>Constant fear of the bolt busting my teeth out even though I keep my eye away from the scope
Boohoo.
>Have to use index finger rather than my thumb on pistols
VP9
>Left-handed weapons are rare and expensive.
But ambi guns aren't so just buy more guns, problem solved.
>>32451719
>Anyone else feel the same pain?
No, not really. Plenty of guns weren't designed by idiots.
Did Stormtroopers have such shitty aim because their optics were mounted backwards?
>>32451517
you try aiming with a full face helmet on

plot devices
>>32451520
you'd think, with them being in the future past, that their helmets would have some kind of HUD
Is there such a thing of a tactical bolt action rifle?

nigga...

I guess all of them if you think about it.

Shootin' through engine blocks ain't no meme son.
>>32450979
Nah, that's a 45-70 long, 50ae is for shooting the man behind the guy with full swat and shield behind an armored engine block in three rounds or less

Meme or useful?
>>32450871
super bad. And I have an LCO too.
>>32450890
Just that it's not variable or the fact that it's different?
Ive shot a range with one on a m249 its good up to 100 yards but not accurate at all, but then again its for just getting up on target faster imo
Trying to get into shooting and I want a recommendation for what gun I should get to start. I went to my local pawn shop and they had some nice rifles/ shotguns. One thing that caught my eye was an Panther Arms AR-15 they had that was priced at $600. It's obviously used but do you guys think this gun would be a good choice or should I go for something else? Pic related.
>>32450351
ar15s in general are great guns. easy to shoot, affordable, ergonomic, and plenty of customization if thats what you want.
everyone is going to tell you thats a bad deal. the thing is, its certainly not a great deal. its a buyers market for ar15s and theres no excuse not to get a great or even good deal right now.
>tldr
you can do better if youre willing to search
>>32450381
everything he said is true. check out Palmetto State Armory, they usually have pretty good deals on AR stuff. watch some youtube videos and google more about ar15s, see what you really want. check out the ar general too here and you can see how customizable they are and maybe how you'd want yours to look
>$600 for absolute basic bitch AR
>used
>ever buying an AR at a LGS where they typically go $50-100 over msrp
>being a sucker in trump 2016 (2017)
Just piece together a kit online and grab a lower locally. You'll get better specs if you put it together yourself for $600
I'm trying to find out if this is a real muzzle break/flash suppressor, or just a custom made Hollywood prop. I found something similar, but not quite the same.
it looks smooth from the sides
wast ist dire film?
>>32450223
if its not a suppressor, then its a linear brake. there are a few that look like it.
spikes sells a comp end for their barking spider (pic related). kaw valley also has a linear brake with holes on the end. troy industries has the claymore but it has spikes.

Ah shit, he's right.
If it makes you feel better, they are rarely in combat. And thanks to it still being part of genetics they will still posses the physical strength to carry their own ruck, should any be in combat. And even more so, it introduces many to a strong attraction to traps that would never foster in any other environment.
