Hey /k/, I just had my guns stolen from my car. They weren't too expensive, it was three, I put them there last night, I had them there because I was going to the shooting range this morning.
Normally I leave my car locked, but my girlfriend went an got something from the car, and NEVER LOCKED IT.
This morning, I look out the window, see my car is unlocked... I feel a sense of dread, I run out to my car, open the doors... NO... CHECK THE TRUNK!!!!
FUCK!!!
They even took my boxing equipment.
I know it's partly my fault for leaving the guns in my car, but it was parked right in front of my house, had it had it's alarm on and stayed locked, this wouldn't have happened.
What a horrible Christmas. Also had a non-related accident, arm and leg are injured, and have a couple of stitches here and there. Lost my job. And now this.
It's not even about the money /k/, just don't like knowing people out there have my guns.

Don't you all take issue with the excessive and obcessive concern regular gun owners have with "BEING TATICAL" and "BEING AN OPERATOR", and shit the like?
I can see why an FBI special operations agent or an SWAT operative or a competitive shooter would lose sleep at night worrying about the exact part of his finger he places on his customized Glock 20. Or a DEVGRU sniper obcessing about the ballistics of .308 versus .30-06, or the Marine worrying about how much penetration a bullet would have on his bodyarmor.
But why the fuck does a regular gun owner, an unfit, untrained civilian, who is more likely to get stuck by lighting than to ever find himself in a firefight, needs to spend $10000 in acessories for the AR he can barely shoot right? And body armor. And combat boots, or carrying around an EDC kit that makes you think he is going to infiltrate Big Bosses's motherbase. I mean, motherfucker, you can barely shot the flat side of a barn at point blank with a Lapua Magnum, you look like you never exercised a day in your life, and yet you want to pretend to be a soldier?
If there was such thing as a try-hard in gun culture, I'd be talking about those people.

I fucked up /k/.
I got the barrel on my shotgun stuck without the hand guard on when trying to put it back together. The threads got locked into the barrel. So I hit it with a hammer and now cant fit more than 1 shell in the plug area. Oh, I also fucked up the firing pin but managed to find the spring and holding pin and put those together. I'm supposed to duck hunt tomorrow and I'm worried about glocknading my gun. Help me unfuck it please.
Pic related is the plug stuck in the handguard thing. I tried putting a shotgun shell in and that didn't work so I tried tapping the shell with a hammer to maybe push the plug back and that didn't work either. Wat do?

1. Take gun apart. Do not use hammer
2. Sob in shame for ruining a great shotgun
3. Clean and treat your Benelli with love and respect
4. Put shotgun back together the correct way, without a hammer
5. Throw away your hammer, or chop off your hammering hand
If it works fine when properly assembled, then good. If it doesn't, do not attempt to shoot your shotgun and take it to a gunsmith unloaded. If your retarded brain thinks you again need hammer to disassemble gun, do not use hammer and bring to gunsmith. You need to learn an expensive lesson. If you shoot the gun and lose some fingers, or blow it up, or bow the barrel, you will learn an even more expensive lesson.

What steps would you have to take to ensure the complete destruction of any evidence linking a shooting to a particular weapon?

>drill out the barrel to eradicate all rifling
>prep a small amount of thermite to slag the grinded out barrel and the rest of the weapon
>drive out long and deep and bury the remaining refuse in a hole near no traveled paths or landmarks
Again, just stretching the wet works here. How far do you have to go to purify a weapon?

Hey /k/, I'm interested in picking up my first gun and the Delisle seems like a good pick for my needs. Video for people that haven't seen it in action:

Quick rundown of the pros:
> .45 caliber bullets are plentiful
> Scary-silent
> less upkeep than modern firearms
> 50-100 yard effective range is good enough for small game hunting and home defense, esp. with the silencing effect
> "so ugly it's pretty" aesthetics, and I imagine the silencer adds a nice bit of heft for smacking people
> minimal recoil and no need for ear protection
The only thing in the way is the $1500 - $3000 price tag for a reproduction model. This is my first time seriously considering picking this up, is there anything a first-time gun buyer should be aware of?

Yeah, don't buy a bolt action for home defense. Go buy an AR15 chambered in .300 Blackout and get a silencer for it. It will be just as quiet and more effective.
