Hey, so I was wondering. As far as home defense, does a .300 blk offer any real distinct advantages over a pistol caliber when suppressed?
I'm pretty sure the hearing safety act is going through, so I want an SBR with a suppressor pinned or welded to equal 16 inches.
The primary role would be home defense, so over penetration would be a concern.

And that's why being an immigrant sucks
Any clue how to get a lower in florida?
Stripped lowers are 21 and over because you can make pistols out of them.
You have to private sale that shit.
>>32449787
How long are you living in the state? You could probably secure a hunting permit with that.
>no green card
Why, anon?
>>32449799
The cashier was about to sell me the lower until he sae temporary on my license and asked for if i was a us citizen
Innawoods stories general. Doesn't have to be spooky. Does anyone have the one where the anon is chased by a hillbilly militia and escapes and meets them in town the next morning, never knowing it was him? Love that one been looking everywhere for it.

>On 20 October 2010,CNBCtelevised a program,Remington Under Fire: a CNBC Investigation, reporting that the trigger mechanism used prior to 2007 on the model 700 could fire without the trigger being squeezed. The report stated that Remington has received thousands of customer complaints since the firing mechanism was introduced in the 1940s, and that nearly two dozen deaths and hundreds of injuries had been attributed to inadvertent discharges of 700 series rifles. Through internal Remington documents, the program showed that on multiple occasions, the company considered recalling the product.
>The inventor of the firing mechanism, Merle "Mike" Walker, 98 years old at the time of the documentary, told CNBC he proposed what he called a safer trigger in 1948 while the product was still in the testing stage. Walker said his enhanced design was rejected because of the added cost, 5 1/2 cents per gun (adjusted for inflation: $0.54). Critics of the documentary countered that every incident featured on the program involving loss of life was the result of firearms mishandling where owners pointed their rifles at other human beings.Remington responded with the Remington Model 700 Network which gave direct rebuttals to the program, and their perspective on the incidents the program makes claims about. Remington dismisses the allegations, pointing out that in every case either trigger mechanisms of the rifles were adjusted or altered beyond recommended specifications, rifles were poorly maintained and left to rust, or the misuser of the rifle admitted to police they might "possibly" have pulled the trigger.

What gun would Santa use?

Hmm. Would need something that functions well in all environments, possibly even at high altitude and speeds. Also would need to be compact enough to fit in a sleigh, yet stout enough to take the beating of traveling around the world in a single night.

Would the Vortex Sparc AR be a decent SHTF optic for a poorfag? I figured since it takes AAA betters it would be a good choice, you can find those everywhere.
What do you think?

this, if you have to be a poorfag, get a vortex, if you're to poor for that, buy nice irons

Yes I plan on getting an aimpoint way in the future but for a while I'm pretty much gonna be a poorfag. Won't have the money for a loosing time.
So would a Sparc AR be a good choice until then? Mainly because of the AAA battery usage?
Did the British Empire allow its citizens to have unrestricted access to all types of firearms? Or was that still a no-no in England at the time?
Firearms were restricted since their invention.
Crossbows were restricted since their invention.
>>32449255
So Britain, the leading superpower of the ages, until the 20th century, did not allow its citizens to have guns?
That rly made me think, Nigel.
Depends upon the era - Victorian and Edwardian era subjects could absolutely possess handguns.
Keep in mind that handgun proliferation didn't occur in America until the 1970's.

>CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The 37-year-old North Ridgeville man who police say brought a satchel with a loaded gun, extra ammunition clips and four knives into a Saturday night showing of "The Dark Knight Rises," is being held on $250,000 bond today after being charged with 21 felony counts.
>Scott A. Smith was charged in a video arraignment before Cuyahoga Common Pleas Court Judge Robert McClelland with 19 counts of possessing a firearm under a disability, one count of carrying a concealed weapon and a separate count of carrying a concealed weapon (for the knives).
>Prosecutors charged Smith with 19 counts of possessing firearms under a disability because they found 18 guns or rifles in Smith's house and one in the satchel he brought to the theater. Prosecutors say Smith is taking the drug Percocet, which is a pain medication, and possibly other sleep medication.
21 felonies for concealing weapons without a permit? He has no previous criminal record.
This is a little weird. I will post the laws in the next post. It implies that it's a felony to posess weapons under a "disability" which is a broad term here
2923.13 Having weapons while under disability.
(A) Unless relieved from disability under operation of law or legal process, no person shall knowingly acquire, have, carry, or use any firearm or dangerous ordnance, if any of the following apply:
(1) The person is a fugitive from justice.
(2) The person is under indictment for or has been convicted of any felony offense of violence or has been adjudicated a delinquent child for the commission of an offense that, if committed by an adult, would have been a felony offense of violence.
(3) The person is under indictment for or has been convicted of any felony offense involving the illegal possession, use, sale, administration, distribution, or trafficking in any drug of abuse or has been adjudicated a delinquent child for the commission of an offense that, if committed by an adult, would have been a felony offense involving the illegal possession, use, sale, administration, distribution, or trafficking in any drug of abuse.
(4) The person is drug dependent, in danger of drug dependence, or a chronic alcoholic.
(5) The person is under adjudication of mental incompetence, has been adjudicated as a mental defective, has been committed to a mental institution, has been found by a court to be a mentally ill person subject to court order, or is an involuntary patient other than one who is a patient only for purposes of observation. As used in this division, "mentally ill person subject to court order" and "patient" have the same meanings as in section 5122.01 of the Revised Code.
(B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of having weapons while under disability, a felony of the third degree.
(C) For the purposes of this section, "under operation of law or legal process" shall not itself include mere completion, termination, or expiration of a sentence imposed as a result of a criminal conviction.
>(4) The person is drug dependent, in danger of drug dependence, or a chronic alcoholic.

I recently ordered this Anderson carbine on Sportsman's Guide for $479.99 only to see the exact same thing go on sale for $428.
Anyone else have this problem? I know it happens with other products but shit still grinds my gears
It's fifty bucks, who gives a shit about fifty bucks unless you're a poorfag? Also that AR is total shit.
I'd be more pissed about spending all that money on an AR only to realize it's a piece of shit and then have to spend even more money on a decent AR after throwing that one in the trash.
>>32448919

I thought Anderson is a reputable company?
Well, after a hairy moment during Christmas, the /k/omanderette and I agree, our little negligent discharge is ready to move up from her Daisy to the real deal. Thinking of getting pic related for her birthday in April. She'll be 8 and a Cricket is already a bit small for her.
I figure cord wrap it a bit, make it a bit more comfy, and worst case scenario, if she doesn't like it (or once she graduates to centerfire)I can throw in in the truck as an emergency gun and I'm only out $160.

Not a bad gun to move up to. Also consider some combo guns--like a Rossi Matched Pair, Savage 24 (or 42), or Chiappa Double Badger. There's also the option of a decent bolt-action--maybe a Ruger American Rimfire Compact. Other classics include lever-action 22's.
>>32448874
You can get a Savage Rascal single-shot for about the same price and it won't be a piece of crap.
