Ok, /k/ommandos, I have a question for all you US-based operators.
I know selective fire rifles produced after 1986 cannot be legally owned by civilians in the USA as per the Hughes Amendment of the FOPA signed into law by Reagan in '86.
Now, I know that modern selective fire pistols (eg. Glock 18) also cannot legally be owned by civilians.
My question here is whether pre-1986 selective fire pistols / handguns* are legal to own for US civilians, and if so, what steps, if any, are required for obtaining one in say, Maryland?
* eg.
pre-86 Beretta 93R
pre-86 Stechkin / APS
MAC-10
KG-9 version of the Tec 9
Micro Uzi (displayed in thread image)
and other machine pistols
>>32458271
Yes. It's the exact same process for rifles.
>>32458271
The NFA is for firearms past 86
All machine guns before 86 are antiques and don't fall under nfa
Actually legaly there not even firearms
Yes. You could have found MACs for sale for between $5-8K if you'd done a modicum of research.
Other Nuclear bombs, what are some other weapons, real or hypothetical, that can level a city, or at least most of it?

Nothing else in service today comes close to a nuke.
What is even this thread about?

Lets not beat around the bush, you faggot, this is a plug thread.

When you die, your family will turn your guns over to the cops for disposal because they aren't interested in keeping dangerous weapons in their homes. What will be the biggest tragedy for you personally, knowing it's going to be destroyed?
For me it's my first gun, my 10/22. Not a huge financial loss by any means, but it has always fired perfectly, tight groupings. I even added modified parts to it to make it more efficient, not that anyone in my family would know or care. Oh well, gotta have fun while it lasts.
>>32457585
If, and that's a big if, my kids are a bunch of pansy assed fucks then I'm putting all my guns sealed up in my coffin and maybe my grand kids will decipher my clues and find my tomb Terminator style.
>>32457585
>implying
I specifically told my mom not to do this and she said that she wouldn't have ever thought to. My father, stepfather, and stepmother all like guns so they would split them among themselves.
>>32458510
To add to this:
>not giving your guns away before you die if you think your family will destroy them
Hi /k/!
So I will be visiting San Diego very soon and I really really want to shoot a gun at a shooting range. I am from germany so I've basically been cucked my entire life in terms of guns.
Now I have read that california has some strict as fuck laws, like wtf? I tried to google what the fuck my options are as a foreigner but there is only bullshit. Can I just show up at a range and be like yo I wanna shoot some shit?
>>32457428
>I am from germany
You can not shoot guns here unless you are citizen
leave cuck merkel germany and immigrate to arizona
>>32457439
are you serious? I cannot shoot guns in america? What if an american citizen brings me to the range with him, will that work? I really want to shoot a fucking gun
>>32457462
You can if you go to a range. If you're in the Oceanside/Carlsbad area, try Iron sights. They have a nice range and really good service.
This is one of the best deer rifles on the market.
This isn't bait, these are my actual opinions. Come at me fagreekos with your $1000 deer rifles
Sure but nothing feels as satisfying as dropping a deer and slowly ejecting the spent cartridge with a bolt action rifle.
It is objectively the most fun action to shoot
>>32457336
>follow up shots are not a thing
absolutely disgusting
>>32459707
>Objectively
Single shots like the martini Henry are fun as fuck
Someone want to explain to me how the atomic bombings were any different from 9/11? Both were aimed to kill, injure and terrorize large amounts of civillians. America could actually be worse as it is a uniformed power acting that way.
The nukes saved countless lives on both sides and shortened the pacific campaign by years by forcing the nips to surrender. 9/11 saved nobody, it killed 3000 Americans and and unknowable amount of raghead civilians over the last 15 years.
>Attack 2 military targets using military means to decisively end a bloody 5 year war and preventing a more destructive invasion and half of Japan from falling under the foot of Communism
vs
>Using civilian means to attack civilian targets for no real reason
Gee, I wonder.
>>32456570
In the off chance that this isn't bait...the atomic bombs were to end a bloody war that we didn't start and saved 10s of thousands of American lives not having to try and take Japanese main land where all of the civilians were training for guerilla warefare.
9/11 was simply for murder and terrors sake.
Exactly how effective would rapiers be if you were to compare them to the earlier centuries?
Say you take an undetermined amount of skilled rapier swordmen and put then anywhere between 8th-16th century how effective would they be against the arms and armor of the time?
>>32456468
Dunno how effective against padding and/or mail. Probably only doing light damage.
Don't even try it against plate armor. The fine point won't do well stabbing the joints.
Probably better off asking >>/his/

A+ pic op
Why would you do this to our beloved space princess
I am thinking about selling my SU-16A. Please give me a realistic price you would pay for it.
Pictured is when I was duracoating it so the bolt is out of it. It has the AR stock kit and a Midwest Industries quad rail. It is the updated model with the AR-15 style front sight not the cheapo plastic sight. Included is the buckhorn rear sight, vertical fore grip, and two magpul gen 2 pmags that match the woodland paint scheme. I have about $700 in it including the base price I paid for it 2 years ago.
How much do you want?
$10
$11 and half a bag of doritos.
Hey /k/ I'm planning on buying a sig p938, specifically the engraved rosewood model, anyone have experience with said pistol?
So far I've seen basically nothing but good, other than people not super duper happy with the price.
>>32455177
I have one and carry one. It shoots super well, disappears while carrying, and I like the trigger and factory night sights.
However, for some reason, my p938 does not like 115 gr. ammo. Using this ammo, I experienced fail-to-extract malfunctions. I switched over to 124 gr. ammo, and have never had a malfunction since.
>>32455177
My stepmother has one. It's fucking gorgeous in every way. Surprisingly comfortable to shoot for how small it is
could somebody please be so kind and post the dimensions of a lee enfield .303 no1 mk3 magazine body?

Why?
>>32455115
he is probably working on one or trying to make a conversion.
i cant help though, i dont own an enfield
OK, guys, I have a pure theoretic question. If you have a wooden cabin. And it's on fire. Can you knock out fire by throwing a big car fire extinguisher and shooting in it, so it will explode and throw all it's chemical stuff in one single moment?
What does /k/ think of the P99? Anyone here own one?
Shit gun. Might as well buy a Taurus.
>>32455013
I like mine. Compact, light, and accurate.

Nice Mononoke filter, Prisma bro
I've always been a huge fan of guns but I was never taught how to clean them other than a basic wipe with WD-40. I need to do a really good deep clean on them since I wont be using them for awhile. I have looked for help on google but I got confused with so many different answers, I was wondering if you guys could help set me straight
>What tools do you use (brass, steel, nylon brushes, snakes etc)
>what solvents to remove rust and fouling
>what oils and lubricants
>what do you use to coat against rust
>any specific steps or directions for their use
For reference I have all Remington shotguns and rifles plus a nugget with a rusty barrel since I forgot to clean it last time I shot it.
>>32454964
>basic wipe with WD-40
THAT has never been and will never be the proper way to clean a gun. WD-40 is meant to displace water when cleaning out vehicles and such.
you need
>punches
>screw driver set
>bore snake
>all purpose cleaning rod
>metal and nylon brushes
>non maring hammer.
>some thing non maring that you can place the gun on while you beat it. A gaffers tape roll will work.
>toothbrush
>a microfiber rag you use to wipe oil on the gun with. Mircofiber holds oil very well and can be used multiple times which saves oil.
>cotton patches.
just to name a few.
what solvents remove rust
>rem oil
>hoppes
you can use others but this is kind of all you need.
what oils and lubricants
>personally i use remoil but they all work.
>for certain guns you may want to use grease on the rails and camming surfaces.
what do you use against rust.
>remoil, its fantastic for it. It leaves a Teflon coating that protects the gun.
specific steps
>no, just spray and wipe.
your nugget is probably find just run a brush down it and a few patches cover in oil.

>i to am a fan of Remington(only vintage however).
>>32455049
Thanks, I figured just plain store bought rem oil and hoppes would be fine for solvents and oil but I've seen a lot of people say they were disappointed, if I do a full disassembly on my 870 and 700 remoil should be good to relube all the parts moving parts or do I need something thicker?
>>32455424
Remoil is good for both of those. Remoil is also a good solvent. You dont always need hoppes.(unless you wanna get high).
