My overall knowledge of guns is low and pretty much the choice of firearms I like is based purely on videogames, with me honestly only really wanting 4 different guns, two of them happen to prohib, and the restricted hand gun happens to have its finer points gimped because its Canada while it also sounds like a meme gun in real life.
Also, at my previous workplace most of my gun owning coworkers seemed to make restricted firearms a fucking hassle and not worth getting it, or is it because when you go full force on the hobby getting the RPAL at another time is a nuisance?

Depends on if you have a decent range nearby.
Who bought one of these little beauties when they were $200?
I did, and HOLY HELL I would have one at twice the price.
>all metal
>3 dot sights
>double stack 12 rd mag
>ambidextrous safety and mag release
>chrome-lined bore
>polygonal rifling
>DA/SA with second-strike capability
>very good trigger with positive reset you can feel through heavy gloves
>easy to strip, clean and reassemble
>comes with all the Czech police accessories
>astonishing accuracy
>flawless reliability
The only downsides are the relatively low-power 9x18 Makarov, which is only a little hotter than .380, and the somewhat largish grip, which makes it more difficult to conceal than other handguns of this size.
The first issue is an easy fix: Just use JHP, as you would with .380. The second issue is only relevant relative to, as I said, "guns of that size". It is approximately as easy to conceal as most (slighty larger) double-stack compact 9mm. (glock, XD, etc etc. )
If you can find one in the $250 range still, snap it up!!
I have a CZ-52, been meaning to get an 82 for the longest time but haven't managed it yet.
Inb4 Leon Vulva decides this is just another Inferior Walther copy and shits the place up.
>>33612577
my cz52 is the only gun i won that i havent shot yet. why? i bought it just for nostalgia and its been in the back of my safe ever since.
i like the cz82, very nice shooter. my only gripe is i dont have large hands so i have to shift my grip to get my thumb to the mag release or use my index finger on the other side.

>fwd assist? nah fuck it
>polymer lowers are totally cool you guys
Have these two lost their fucking minds?
Have you lost your fucking ears? They explain it all.
Frank Proctor also says irons are redundant
>>33611831
I get where they are going with the polymer lower and the forward assist is hated by both Eugene Stoner who didn't put it on the AR-10 and Sullivan who didn't put it on the AR-15.
/k/, as a long time "gun guy" (not to imply im an operator or anything like that, im not) and outdoorsman who's owned/ fired many guns, i come to you with a pretty tall request. Im tired of having a million guns, and I want one rifle to do it all; hunt medium/ large game, compete in 3 gun, plink in the woods, and LARP for pretend SHTF scenarios that will never happen, amd to pass down to my future grandchildren. Where I live, there is a wide variety of terrain, from urban to thick brush to tall, open mountains. What do I get? I've considered so many; SCAR 17, LMT MWS, AR in 6.5 grendel, but all of them have shortcomings i feel that are deal breakers. What do?
Colt LE901 for .308 goodness and whatever uppers you can find in standard AR15 uppers. Ultimately, whatever you do with this concept will give you mediocre results at best over all your categories. Full ass one or two things rather than 1/8 assing a bunch of shit.

I've had two of these
Tell me about sikhs /k/

These motherfuckers spent money on this thinking it was a good idea? Wtf man.
Useless and looks shitty.
If you're going to make something useless for the military at least make it badass.
>>33608578
It would probably look a lot more impressive if the demonstration picture was a big body builder guy using it to carry one of these.

Wow what an adolescent thing to say.
So as soldiers and official military personnel currently occupying or temporarily stationed in foreign lands and leaving soon, what do you do in winning the hearts and minds of the locals so they can see you in a better light? Or fraternize with the locals.
Somewhat like pic related, if you'd ever fraternize or make friendly chit-chat with the locals, (even trying to flirt with qt village girls) what do you do in being friendly with the locals? Either for just socializing and being friendly, or to win them hearts and minds?
>>33607840
Rape them until half the population is your ethnicity.
>>33607840
>>33607861
Damn it anon, we're trying to either win hearts and minds or just be friendly...
Unless you're implying the female GI's, personnel and officers can have their way with hte young and qt village boys, farmer boys and stable... Then give further details.
What would be the reaction and retalion of USA if North Korea struck Los Angeles with 20kt nuclear weapon?

Would USA be willing to risk more citizens being killed and injured just to get revenge by nuclear weapons?

Hey /k/, I am looking for some advice.
I just ordered a Sig MPX with an 8 inch barrel and don't know a whole lot about the laws regarding SBRs. I live in Ohio and eventually want to not have to have this disgusting wrist strap thing. How do I go about getting my stamp for an SBR? Is there anything else I cant put on it until I have the paperwork? (i.e. a foregrip) I will also want to get a suppressor, is the process very similar? Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, Machine Pistol thread. Pic related
>>33605670
there are a lot more aesthetic Braces available than the Sig Brace. Look at the KAK Shockwave, or if you want one that collapses like the real MPX stock, look at SB tactical
>>33605703
I will look into it, Thanks!
>>33605703
>SB tactical
It really is astetic as fuck

you sure about that?

You just respond to them.

Maybe if your mom wasn't also your grandma I'd give two shits about your opinion.

>Missouri has just as much if not more freedoms than West Virginia
Fuck off hicks your coal needs digging.
>>33602415
What the hell's West Virginia
>Stopping power is just a fudd meme. It's all about shot placement.
So I guess I should carry a 22 LR then.
Sure, if you're a good shot. Test your aim at the roof of your mouth.
Assuming this isn't a fucking bait it isn't that complicated. The Argument is that the difference between 9mm and 45 is fucking minimal and that the stopping power shit is a meme now that 9mm been developed so much. Increased magazine capacity and similar ballistic performance > sotppin powa

You are not hiding something here, don't you anon?
The Knife Angel – A Sculpture Made of 100,000 Knives Confiscated by the Police
The Knife Angel – A Sculpture Made of 100,000 Knives Confiscated by the Police
Clive Knowles, head of the British Ironworks Centre, told The Guardian that the idea for the Knife Angel was inspired by a television documentary on knife crime in the UK and the desire to raise awareness about the large number of weapons on the streets. They started supplying knife banks to 43 police forces across England and Wales two years ago, and since then, more than 100,000 weapons have been taken off the streets and delivered to the center to be used for the massive artwork.
“It’s an enormous task,” Knowles said last year. “We are liaising with 43 police forces. Most people will only see the finished project but they won’t see the enormous work that goes in to take these thousands of weapons off the streets. We see huge theatrical weapons, like machetes and samurai swords, which come over for the gift market but end up on our streets.”
The Knife Angel was completed recently and is set to tour the UK, but at one point last year it was unclear if would ever be unveiled. The problem was that six out of the 43 police stations involved in the project were not contributing any knives, so the British Ironworks Centre refused to complete the artwork in protest.
“How can police forces not support this at a time when the crime is on the up, especially when a company is willing to support and fund the bins and banks? If a fatal stabbing happens in one of these forces areas, how will a chief constable explain to families that they failed to hold an amnesty that was being funded already? That will be a very difficult conversation,” Clive Knowles told the Shropshire Star.
http://www.odditycentral.com/art/the-knife-angel-a-sculpture-made-of-100000-knives-confiscated-by-the-police.html
“We can’t even try and take the sculpture out of the studio until we get the remaining forces to action their surrender amnesty. Originally we pledged to get 100,000 knives off the streets with the backing of all 43 forces. It’s been created against and to raise awareness of Britain’s issues with violent knife crime, so we’re not able to unveil it until all constabularies are on board with it,” Knowles added.
In the end, 41 of the 43 police stations got on board, and the finished Knife Angel was finally unveiled, a few days ago.
The Knife Angel has sparked controversy ever since it was announced, over two years ago. While some knife crime victims’ families have been supportive of the project, even visiting the workshop and engraving messages on the wings of the sculpture, others strongly opposed it. Members of a Facebook group called “Say no to the knife angel” voiced their opinions online.
Cheryl Evans, the mother of an 18-year-old who died as a result of a knife wound to the chest, in 2004, declared herself shocked by the idea of the British Ironworks Centre. “An angel is pure, a knife is the devil’s creation to the death of our young people and those who use it to end innocent lives,” she wrote. “I will not and cannot support this, the fight begins. Maybe you have not lost a child so cannot see the deep-rooted agony this will cause.”
Clive Knowles said that they were expecting some criticism, adding that the Knife Angel was intended to provoke strong reactions. “When there is an art project like this, it is supposed to shock,” he said. “The angel’s face will be one of dismay, with its arms open as if to say: ‘Why?’ We want to spur the country to action,” he told The Guardian.
After touring the UK, the 24-foot-tall Knife Angel could be placed on display on the fourth plinth in London’s Trafalgar Square, as a tribute to knife crime victims.

My question:
What makes a cleaning kit good? Half of my guns are historical (1939-1966), and I am PARANOID of scratching my barrels with my brass cleaning rods.
Do I need to worry about that barrel scratching?
What makes a cleaning rods safe to use (steel, strong, aluminum, good quality).
Should I but a boresnake, and are they safer?
Also, what's a good gun grease (I've been using remoil on all of the sliding points).
Sorry for the long question. My Google research isn't helping, and I'm the most knowledgeable gun person I know (family just don't care, and all my friends are poorfags). Thanks!

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Shooting a Glock 26. The hump on the grip really digs into my palm. Am I just holding it wrong, or is that something I just have to put up with?
I know this is autistic but I need your help. I'm trying to think of how would a strong navy for an emerging, large third world nation that has now become first world and extremely wealthy would be like, think of countries like Indonesia or Brazil, let's say they suddenly became super rich and want a blue water fleet.
1 CVN: carrying 4 toucan turboprops, 8 imported F-35 and 12+ indigenous multi role fighters.
2 LHD/LHA: carrying all sorts of helicopters (utility, cargo, attack etc) as well as enough troops to storm a beach and take over a town
3 DDG: THAAD, dozens of cruise missiles, 120mm canons, it is as multirole as it can be.
10 FF: specializing in air defense, they carry THAAD, medium and short range AA and CIWs
10 CC: specializing in ASW, they carry a helicopter, rubber ducks, mines, buoys, UAV and UUV all all kinds of ASW shit
10 missile boats: each carrying some 6 or 8 AshM.
10 PC: other duties like mine sweeping and SAR (they would carry one UH)
3 SSBN: 16 conventional warheads each.
A few other ships, like tankers and troop transports.
What kinds of things am I missing here? What kinds of ships would you add? What kind of capabilities would this strong navy need?
