I have the possibility to do a paratrooper course as a part of my military service at the end of this year.
However, i'm worried that my ankle injury will prevent me from pursuing this opportunity, because it might not allow me to land without crippling myself for life
So help me out /k/, what forces would i be subjecting my ankles to, or should i just go for it regardless?
>>33621402
If you have an ankle injury already I would not risk it.
>>33621417
To be clear I speained my ankle in september of 2015

Big fuckin' round in an AR-15. Gotta get that fiddy cal. Same idea as 458 socom
I suppose it's pretty good for hog hunting
Hello people of /k/. I recently got an AMT Javelina (trade) which I would like to keep as a home defense gun. The one thing buggering me is the capacity (an 8-rounder). Could any other magazine fit in (like a GL20?)? Do extended mags exist?
First pistol, not that versed in mechanic. Thank you. (pictured is a javelina, not mine specifically)
it's amazing how fast it dived to second page
You bought a 10mm 1911.
It will do things 10mm 1911s should, like shoot 8 rounds. If you plan to miss more than that, get more magazines.
If you are firing more than 8 rounds of 10mm indoors without changing the course of a home invasion, reexamine your life choices.
>>33619583
You're right. If 8 rounds doesn't stop it, more wouldn't BUT it's not like I sleep in a LBV. Hence, bigger mags.
Let's say I have all necessary licenses to manufacture and sell firearms.
Is there anything stopping me from using publicly available blueprints of weapons to make things like the SVDK or SVT, with modern materials?

I'm not a lawyer, but I think you're fine.
>>33619512
>I'm not a lawyer
And into the trash it goes.
>>33619495
Legally? No. Realistically? Yeah, a fuck ton of stuff.
Anyone got any ballistic tests on the zsh helmet series (Altyn in particular), I heard they are resistant to pistol rounds, but found no evidence to back it.
>>33619277
You mean the visor?
get out of here stalker
>>33619301
Im asking for both.
>rushed into the production
>non-chromed interiors
>shitty gunpowder used even though it was known to dirt up the gun
>government and official denying any criticism and trying to cover the problems
>write a letter about the problems of the rifle
>get into trouble - see Mike Chernevak
>>33619223
Probably. US Ordinance really fucked up with the issuing of the M16.
>>33619223
And just think, it was still better than the gun it replace.
>>33619223
It wasn't "shitty" powder, it was powder with a different burn rate designed for the 7.62x51
Hello /k/!
I just recently purchased my first rifle; a 1979 production Ruger Mini 14. I've been thinking about getting another stock for it, maybe a Archangel or a Tapco. Anyone here have any experience with any aftermarket stocks for these? Especially with an older rifle like mine because I heard that the archangel stock won't fit my rifle.
Thanks in advance /k/ommandos!
Throw it away and start over
>>33619189
bend over and suck a turd out of your ass
The original stocks are fine. Mini-14s are simple utility guns and a garbage tacticool stock isn't going to turn it into an AR.
Was this the most tactically inaccurate battle in any war film ever?
The ones which are deemed the most realistic because that's when people forget it's still a movie and not real war footage.
The ones made by the Chinese.
>>33619074
Are you talking like Michael Bay tactically inaccurate or more like JJ Abrams tactically inaccurate?
What are the best military related documentaries aside from Restrepo?

How/where would you conceal a small pistol in an area/country where this is not allowed?
Rectum
>>33618417
Anus carry is your best option here.
>>33618417
The same way you would conceal it in a country where it was allowed. You just might get caught.
Lancer mags, any other answers are wrong.
The one that doesn't fuck up?
All around? USGI gen3.
>Cheap.
>Durable.
>can be used in any rifle that takes STANAG mags.
So /k/ if you visit wally world and stumble into the gun section you'll likely find pic related. Its a Hatfield and i know fuck all about the company but i just impulse bought one because i got my tax return. Anybody have any experience with this brand of shotgun? Did i fuck up?
>>33618176
it fucking sucks that's all you need to know. get the McCoy instead.
>>33618176
It's not great, but it will go boom when you pull the trigger and probably won't blow your hands off.
>>33618176
What you're gonna use it for? Hunting? Home defence?
It's a official gun for alaskan native people(just like how tec 9 is associated with urban disenfranchised youth of the 80s). Every drunk eskimo had 2 of those
Hey /k/ first time poster here,
I was sent here from another board on regards to a pistol for a bug out bag.
I'm a poorfag and this would be my first handgun to purchase. I've shot my friend's Glock before so I'm not new to shooting guns. Anyhow, would the SD9VE be a good cheap gun to keep in my BOB?
I just want a reliable pistol incase shit goes south.
Yes.
>>33618135
Thanks m8
>>33618119
It's an alright gun. People like to shit on it but there's really nothing wrong with it for a cheap polymer frame striker fired handgun.
