How much of a disadvantage am I at if I don't use digital tools (other than a scanner, obviously) at all for my art? I just like the idea of doing everything with a pencil and brush. Is there any merit in the art world today to not using digital tools?

Graffiti artists are scum.

My uncles business was always getting tags on it..

Anyway some graffiti artists asked if they could paint a mural..

He thought this would be okay if they dont spend too long as they are graffiti artists after all...

Anyway one asks if he can use the toilet.... (only for staff)

My uncle goes know..

The graffiti artists then are all like "Huurrr durr are you serious or just joking" and just getting in his face about it..

My uncle then yells at them "You stupid high school drop out, children of single mothers, I said no and I mean no for a reason"


Then after arguing with him they left with their paintings half finished on the buildings

They said "Huurrr , I'd rather paint for someone who appreciates what we are doing" and just fucked off..

Then they also gave my uncle a lecture about how he was supposedly lucky as they usually charge to paint in cafes and night clubs and they were ding his building for freee...

I think personally think they've all just huffed too much of their own paint fumes.

I want to learn how to do animation, both for video games and anime, however I also want to know how to draw both anime style and the more realistic style seen in western games. I've read the sticky however I'm not really sure of the proper way to start.

I'd basically like any recommendations or routines I should start with in order to hone my skills. I'd greatly appreciate any helpful advice, thank you very much.

Hello, I'm an avid gamer and I realzied that i want to be an artist; I love playing counter strike but I also want to be a good artist do things like realistic renders of cool video game characters and anime characters

I have a choice between a new stat traker knife and a cintiq companion 2? which one should I get? Should I just get both? Also what is the difference between a wacom and a cintiq?

Also, I want to draw like, cute anime girls with guns, where should I start with that? are there any books about drawing cute anime girls and guns? Like Panzer und girls?

Why do so many artists ruin their art when they try to clean it up? Do they not notice how vastly inferior it is compared to the sketch?

I've borrowed my friend's wacom art pen and I'm struggling to feel any real difference between it and my regular grip pen. Can someone enlighten me what I'm missing? I have tried a dozen of different brushes and I have yet to come across a situation where the rotation makes any difference.
