Are you a purist that resist change, not wanting to photobash or use 3D? Everything needs to be painted by hand and that gives you the romantic feeling of being an artist?

I feel like if i meet a fan of mine in the streets and asks me for a quick sketch or something that i should be able to produce
the quality that i do online or i wouldn't be able to call myself an artist, i don't condemn "quality of life" type of shortcuts like the occasional
texture brush but doing shit like tracing and painting over photos and 3D models for me kind of defeats the purpose.

I have studied real life landscapes but to me, coming up with ideas for a fantasy, out of the box, unrealistic landscapes are hard for me to come up with so I'm gathering data so I can practice my mind

So a fellow artist friend I've known for a year now, we've talked and shared work. In October of 2015 I sent him $350 for a poster design, skip to today and I have yet to receive it or even see a rough.
I finally asked him about it and he got super defensive. Asking why I was acting like a dick and painting me as the villain? All I did was ask him for an update.
How do I handle this?

Tell him $350 and the amount of time he had is zero excuse for not having a finished product by now. If he were actually hired by someone to make posters he'd been fired by now for not meeting his deadline.
Also lmfao don't send all the money up front, ever. Do partials or none at all until completion. I personally do partial after first sketch and the rest when it's in the finishing stages (Both as an artist and a commissioner).
You should tell him he needs to send the money back asap. You've only known him a year so this can't be a strong friendship.
I'm curious btw, what's his art normally look like? I'm curious if he overcharged you or not

How do one study anatomy?
Should I focus on body parts first (hands, head, feet, torso, legs, etc) or do the full figure?
and like which should I do first to get the best result?
How about drawing them in different perspective and angle? I want to be able to draw humans in crazy perspective (fish lens etc) and great action perspective poses. That should come after learning the basics or should you study them all together?
