Hey everybody!
I don't really see a lot of crochet threads on here that often and I'm pretty new to the trade, but I really enjoy it.
I figured if there's a thread for crochet art maybe we can all swap ideas and show some of our work!
Tips? Patterns? Ideas? Your work? Post them!
This is my most recent creation, Kuro from the manga series Somato.

Here's another image from OP.

I had trouble deciding on how to do the mouth, I actually used a guide on yew-tube for the whole body which was actually from another anime and I just modified it to make Kuro instead.
I have other stuff as well, like hats and such. I'm an amateur but I have a real passion and want to learn more.
Can Someone recreate this picture to make it look absolutely badass? They're characters from movies YouTuber "I Hate Everything" reviews in a series called The Search For The Worst.
Characters:
>Cool Cat (Cool Cat Saves The Kids)
>The Bulk (The Amazing Bulk)
>Killer Birds (Birdemic: Shock and Terror)
>Giant Shark (Jurassic Shark)
Thanks in advance. If I end up posting it somewhere include a nickname or username signature.
This is a better image.

>a cat wearing a tshirt saying "cool cat" in comic scans
>a purple deformed monster rampaging

Not going t...
Holy shit! You made it!
I recently started drawing (like yesterday) and i'm reading the first loomis book, fun with pencil, and i really have some problems with it, he does those facews who have 10/10 details and proportions (even if cartoony) but mines are utterly terrible, they look like people who managed to survive a nuclear holocaust, and he says not to copy the faces he does!
Now, i want to learn to draw, i don't really want to become the next davinci or anything, just draw something that makes sense and not clusterfuck of bad prortions and indistinguishable objects.
What am i supposed to do? keep drawing abominations? will they really get better if i practice more?

Post in the beginner thread. Delete this one before you get shit on.

How old are you? It shouldn't be hard to do that unless you're 10.
Anyways, you need to know how to draw lines and circles properly. When drawing them use your arm as the pivot. drawabox.com explains and expands on it in his first lesson. Do the exercises and if you want do the homework.
Also resize your images and fix its rotation.

sorry i didn't know about that
Anyone got the drawing academy vids? Or a similiar course?

Discussing the materials of sketchbook (paper quality, and the types of leather used for leatherbound books).
plz guys
wow OP, it was so hard
>>2643965
This better not turn into some political propaganda bullshit, OP.
if you had $800USD to spend on a drawing tablet, what would you get?
I have a $3,000 credit card.
I seriously considered getting one of those, but I realized it's a waste of money since you have to plug them into a computer.
I'll wait until they can work on their own.

>advertise most expensive wacom tablet with a guy drawing dumb abstract shit you could draw with a mouse
brb kms
get a Intuos large off of ebay for like $350 and spend the rest on hookers
go figure. Ricky Martinez is a fan of that cocky ass irish fuck Conor Mcgregor.
What do you guys think of Ricky and his stupid photobashing crusade?
>>2646532
Can you stop spamming your boyfriend on this board? Thanks.
Go home Irakli.
Ricky has done a fanfuckingtastic job calling out scum, photobashing smudge painters like you. I saw his streams recently and the guy doesn't claim to be great. He's trying to grow like all of us. Instead of smudging photos like you. He gets credit from most of us in here because he has the balls to say what most pros don't.
>>2646535
i'm not Irakli. bitch. i dont understand why he is seen as good artist or anything.
my latest painting -_-
But what does it mean?
I found a torrent for Marshall Vandruff's perspective series on a Russian torrent site. All the videos are in it and there doesn't seem to be any viruses in it.

bump, is this worth downloading?
>>2647232
He made a new perspective series not too long ago (not the 90s one) but has yet to release it/behind a sign-up paywall only.
>>2647188
Thanks a lot. I recommend downloading this, for anyone wondering
Should I look into figure drawing classes? I have 200 bucks so would it be worth it?

Yes.

Old fashioned, are we?
Where do chinks learn their fundamentals? Most of them doesn't speak english, so I figure they don't study anything from our sticky. Is there like asian equivalent of Loomis?
Fundamentals are still taught in school in Asia, because Asia never had a 'modern art' movement. While you were learning about what a genius Picasso was and how revolutionary it is for women to protest the patriarchy with menstrual blood paintings and how to express yourself with macaroni statues, Ruan Jia was learning how to draw and paint.

Is an ancient technique called "translations"

>there are people who don't intuitively know colour theory
I never studied color theory itself, but i've always been quite proud of my keen aesthetic sense and i definitely know when colors "feel" good/right and when they do not
i think this is a normal thing among people who've liked to draw for a long time
>>2641567
How do you go about teaching yourself colour theory?

I would also like to know, I have yet to find a good book or set of tutorials on the subject
