Why do the well known artists of the internet have such egos? They won't answer your questions or when they do they say something condescending or mean spirited. Is everyone who gets famous like this online? I've been noticing this more in art talent people.
if youre talented you deal with a lot of shitty people. You'll get your inbox filled with angry tumblrinas, requests and begging, and "how do i draw lik u??".
later it becomes better just to block everyone off
>>2646842
Because they'd rather spend the time answering all your useless questions drawing for money.
Popular artists usually develop friends circles with other popular artists, so they no longer care if their fans hate them, because they're gonna still follow them on all the social medias anyway. They have their little circlejerk hugbox skype convo's where they can shoot the breeze about all the new memes on tumblr and, more importantly, share their knowledge about art with each other and not the rest of the world to remain on top of everyone else, pushing smaller artists who can't obtain any knowledge because they're not giving it out (you) and become the elite.
This is actually quite easy to do on your own. Find a few friends irl (ew) or online (yes). Get their skypes/contacts, make sure everyone knows each other. Share your knowledge and teach each other until you all git gud. Cut out the weakest of the group. Now that you guys have obtained a fan base, contact the artists you'd like to talk to. They'd probably answer to other popular, respected artists rather then some little autist (again, you).
Good luck!
I'm have a feeling so complicated for Sunibee.
I love his art, but he's slacked off, he's prone to deleting his stuff forever, and he has bouts were it seems like he doesn't want to draw anymore. I hold none of these things against him. It just, on a personal level, bugs the hell out of me.
Sunibee's flaky disposition is one of the major driving forces behind me wanting to learn to draw. Whatever lights the fire in your belly.
Looking for a good hardbound/softbound sketchbook that opens flat. What are your favourites?

Moleskine
Just buy any cheap hardcover one and bend the shit out of it.
what kind of music does /ic/ listen to while working?
>>2641546
nightcore, because I like fast songs
>>2641546
Hours and hours of Mozart or Chopin, it really helps me focus.
It also reminds me to get my ass to work, 'cause I have them associated with studying.
Blues works fine as well, but doesn't go well with reading text.

Why is Pollock considered good?
>>2648733
because he was bold brave and creative. those were always more important than pure skill.
>>2648745
>creative
how so?
here we go again
>this is a painting
How do we know that any picture is real or fake?
If it's IRL it's pretty obvious, materials won't lie
If it's digital and you have to ask, most likely it's a picture with filters

remove the fine details like the hair, the flower, and the grass. Whenever you add detail to pictures that were meant to be simple you get muddy ugly shit like pic related

This place is for asking all your art related questions that might fit in one single post.
If you want to git gud, read the sticky.
If you want critique, search the current Beginner/ Draw/ Stylization thread.
I'll start.
How do you learn to ink with a Wacom intuos medium? I have seen that most recommend drawing really big, like 600% zoom level and spamming ctrl+z. But is there any book, website or resource exclusively for inking?
>inb4 force proportions.
I know.
Learn line weight and you should be good to go.
>>2641820
Ye. I already know things like that. I have inked on paper and have read a couple of nice inking books.
But switching to digital is pretty hard. I was wondering if my tablet is too small (intuos medium) or if I just need to do exercises or if I'm doomed to painting.
any good art related discord channels? polycount has one, but thats mostly for 3d.
What do you think of this standard rate for commissions of drawfags around 4chan?
Do you think they're ruining the market?
How do you even decide commision rate when starting off?
>shilling yourself this hard
The question is how often do they actually get work.
Why does so much of 4chan, especially /pol/, appreciate only figurative painting?
>>2649801
Cause they're weebs who have no idea about art and it's history
>>2649906
I agree these go- I mean guys need to go to art school and learn what real art is
They're all being contrarian for the hell of it, or snowflakes if you like.
And /pol/tards in particular can't not.
Hi there. I want to be a erotic drawfag and make commissions like Norasuko (he's my hero, by the way). But I do not have any idea of how.
I will leave my NSFW artworks here. Maybe do you like it, maybe not. But please, tell me why?

what do you recommend me?
Is there another renowned alternative to draw-a-box where I can practice basic form from imagination?
I want more variance in my exercises; I refuse to believe he's the first dude to put rudimentary 3-D thought exercises into practice. Where's the Vilppu version of this clown?
How do I get the same mental strain from drawing from life?

Make your own exercises then. Do you honestly need someone to design everything and hold your hand ?
