How much should i charge for pieces like this? It took me around 5-6 hours to make using photoshop. Sorry about the bad quality but i think i have to post an extremely grainy version because i sold this piece to a comic creator friend who wants to sell prints of it in the future. I'm new to this commissions thing and i'm kind of clueless about artist rates...help a gal out? Also, do you guys know of any good sites (aside from dA) where i can put my stuff up? I already used to have a dA account but it's long dead now and i really want to look into other alternatives. Thanks!

>how much should i...
As much as you can get. How much did you sell that one for?
>>2725060
I gave it away for $40.

Sucker.
Kidding. It's obviously subjective, but you could probably milk someone like me for 50-70 range if the time was right.
It means I like it a lot.
Post art-related videos. No hacks allowed (Jazza and similar).

What's the best way to have fun and draw together digitally with other artists you know?
I saw a few options:
- chat.pixiv.net
Looks fine, but if I'm not wrong there's a time limit if you have a free account
- Multistreaming at piczel.tv
It's nice, but it eats up your internet and CPU since you have to simultaneously upload (your own stream) and download (your partner's stream)
Can you guys suggest more options?
flockdraw
drawpile

I want draw like Guweiz
Any advice?
>>2723009
Draw Everyday
study and draw until you reach a point where you are considered skillful
then copy the artist's shit stroke for stroke until you have successfully become what is known as a "hack"
Learn to use Photoshop desu
I just painted this, am I on the right track?
>>2721744
Looking at the thumbnail, i liked it.
But the rock looked a little big and not "natural"
Also, you need more details because when i looked at it in normal size it looked boring
>>2721774
I'm not even sure if it is a rock, but like.. make the leaves pop out, make it llook like cobblestone instead of road, also the flowers should make you want to smell it, otherwise gj
>>2721744
Use more paint, and fix your edges.
There is no such thing as being anonymous.
What pisses you off anon?
Get it out.

Jumping straight into anatomy is a very bad idea is it not?
In terms of drawing people, if there was say, a linear aspect in how you should be progressing, what would it need to be?
I can't even draw a mannequin correctly. Letalone from imagination in any pose. Anatomy itself is next to impossible for me.
learn forms first and like shapes , then you apply that to learning anatomy and stuff.
>Stick figure
>Gesture
>Anatomical studies
-Start with mannequin
-Learn 8 head diagram
-Find a good anatomy book FOR ARTISTS
>Life drawing
-Advanced study of general anatomy books
>Original character creation

I think my main problem is construction, any time I go to place things, the placement is always way off/wrong. I don't know how to really remedy that.
Im a freelanced comic artist. im trying to share my art by next week ill post my free page/
the title of my comics is "the care giver"
hope some of you will be interested on reading it.
ill post one of the pages so check it out and let me know what you guys think :)
I think you need some Loomis, nigga.
his abs look like sister shubert rolls...
I know /ic has a hard-on for frazetta, but what do you think of Sergio Toppi?
I place him as the western Akiya 'golden gravel' Kageichi, but his line work is stronger.
>>2724861
Everyone I know who has actually heard of him considers him to be god-tier. I agree.
I think that you're a faggot for making a thread about this nobody.

Neato
Does he have a book or sometin
>stylus nib lasts under a weeks
WHY THE FFFFUUUUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
>not using weed whacker wires as nibs
Cut to length, straighten it and sand the tips. $10 lasts you a life time.
>Upload inktober
>Don't like it too much but everyone has seen it already
>Draw some random stuff
>Like it 100 times more than the inktober I spent 3 hours on

Stop pressing so hard stupid.
Honestly though same happened to me until i learned to draw lightly now i still have the same backup pack that came with the tablet

Anyone have the video series of Peter Han's Dynamic Sketching? Know it's a longshot since >artbook thread
but worth a shot

What Bridgman book is the best one to start out with for anatomy?
>>2720591
none, get better anatomy book.
>>2720594
Can you name a better one?
I tried Steve Peck's book, but there's not enough information about the muscles in there.
so is this guy good or what? I saw you guys memeing on him a few times.
>>2723905
His art isn't the best but the lessons are still good.
It's Peter Han's Dynamic Sketching 1 except in picture format and $700 cheaper.
The first few lessons are solid but once it gets to drawing the figure and such fuck off to a proper artists lesson
>>2723913
Listening to someone whose work sucks.
Okay, never gonna make it either.
Does anyone know of a good resource for SFX makeup or the creation of masks and whatnot? Books, web, or otherwise. Figure I'd as here since it's still artsy.
>>2725804
Friendly bump for OP, as i'm midly interested too
My friend drew this about 20-25 years ago, recently found it tucked away...
>>2725726
I think /b/ would be more interested in this than us, gramps.
>>2725726
Spooky.
