Jumping straight into anatomy is a very bad idea is it not?
In terms of drawing people, if there was say, a linear aspect in how you should be progressing, what would it need to be?
I can't even draw a mannequin correctly. Letalone from imagination in any pose. Anatomy itself is next to impossible for me.
learn forms first and like shapes , then you apply that to learning anatomy and stuff.
>Stick figure
>Gesture
>Anatomical studies
-Start with mannequin
-Learn 8 head diagram
-Find a good anatomy book FOR ARTISTS
>Life drawing
-Advanced study of general anatomy books
>Original character creation

I think my main problem is construction, any time I go to place things, the placement is always way off/wrong. I don't know how to really remedy that.

The sticky is outdated as holy hell and should not be recommended to anyone.
There is a sticky floating around in the beginner threads that is way better than the garbage pinned on the board.

also learn to read.... or look at the pictures in the book. most books about art have many pictures which are more useful that what is being said or can be skimmed through . reading is not a big deal.
