Seconded
are these OPs deportable yet?
Post 1-2 your favorite paintings itt.
Both of my Intuos'4 broke, and now I'm using my spare Wacom Graphire 3. It's okay but I really don't feel comfortable using this.
I went online and found 2 options that I'd like to look in too:
- Wacom Intuos draw drawing tablet for $50
- Wacom Cintiq Companion II for $1600 or make offer
512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, 5th gen Intel Core i7 processor Windows 7
I wish to know which one would be a better buy?
Get an Intuos Pro or a proper cintiq that you plug into your desktop.

if you go for tablet-monitor there are cheaper alternatives for the same value of components, even at 60% the prize of a wacom with the same specs
think if you really need it portable, the portable quality is not cheap, and if you need it for class (I can't imagine anything else) you can work with a small tablet you already have
get a +18" huion or yiynova with an average laptop or desk pc and you'll save money in comparision of the companion while getting way better tools
What about the yoga book? I mean i know its more of a tablet but is that a viable option for someone wanting to get into digital art?
This is from de Pilot episode of batalla picante an idependet production inspire by Celebrity Deathmatch series on youtube. ¿What do you think?

I just cant find anything..
Actually there are two books, pic rel
so this piece is pretty impressionist, but manages to get more depth than i've ever seen from similar works in the style. what's been done differently here? is it just the strong values?
Strong values in combination with a solid execution of perspective helps create the 4 different distances of each mass (front, middle rocks, slightly more far away rocks, ocean)
>>2719036;
a bunch of particular factors I think
you've got a small block of light (hat) in front of a large and distant volume of dark (cliff sides) in front of a much larger and much farther volume of light (sea)
i like the composition, it seems calm and subdued but if you squint the values are arranged fairly dramatically.
liked and subscribed

Just copy other people to be honest.

I've been self-studying for a while now, but I feel like I'm not progressing as fast and as effectively as I could be... I'm drawing on average 5 hours a day, alternating between different teaching aids.
Would going to a (good) school be the best choice, with their focused classes? Is it worth the money? What about IRL vs. online?
Fuck, I just want to make sure I'm using my time effectively.
>>2722211
We always feel like we're not progressing as fast as we want to be. It's just a dream, anon. It's not real. That speed was never real. This is the fastest you can go. Just keep at it and you'll succeed many years down the line. Life has limits and we'll all hit them. It's inevitable.

Art school is just structured competition and potential connections.
Unless you want to be a classically trained painter, you're better off saving your money and studying yourself.
A good tip from a good friend; If you find yourself lacking the discipline for artistic practices, instead focus on learning self-disciplinary skills to build a base.
Didn't know whether to put this in /co/ or /lit/ but anyway I want to start writing a comedy web comic but I don't know how to write humor. Specifically that type of absurd and outrageous humor you get from, say, adult swim. Any advice?
>>2722057
>Didn't know whether to put this in /co/ or /lit/
So you put it on /ic/?
>>2722057
You should ask this on /lit/ since your question is primarily about humor, then once you have a good idea, or at least feel like you do, you should go to /co/ and request comics or webcomics that do comedy well. Study them, learn how they manage to use both writing and drawings to convey their set-ups and punchlines, if you're new to comics I would recommend reading Scott McCloud's "Understanding Comics: The Invisible Art", it doesn't focus primarily on humor in comics but it is a good read and could help you understand the medium.
>>2722057
How old are you? I feel like after 25 you have a pretty clear idea what is funny without being base about it. Dont worry about drawing quality, if your writing is good you might even use the bad quality as a tool. I mean, look at harvey pekar.
I just got a Intuos Tablet off a friend, been a traditional artist forever and I want to move to digital art, what are some good practice tips or videos so I can get better?

post your specs
> Open photoshop
> Create 20k x 20k (Pixels), 300 dpi canvas
> Create 3 layers
> On the third one, add 400% uniform noise
> Flip canvas horizontally 4 times
> Time how long it takes to flip a 5th time

Is this just a ruse to crash people's computers/photoshop?
>>2720690
if your computer crashes doing this, you might need an upgrade
>>2720689
>20k x 20k
This will make it crash for most people here. And no, I don't have money for a better PC.
