the proportions are off. They both look like they have tumors growing out of them. also, don't use straight black for shadows, it just ruins the image. Try using like a blue-violet, with a lil yellow. Also your reflections don't make sense. Those are just some of the obvious mistakes, there's still a bunch more.

Well decent art schools vet students, you have to be able to draw pretty decently before you even get in.

I don't know why you have this mental idea that you need an art school, there's a billion references and tutorials in the wiki alone.

Just look at what they teach, if it's a bunch of modern art BS then stay away.

It might also be a good idea to look at their website and marketing. From my experience, the better schools will tell you about the skills they will teach you and talk about preparing you for the future, where's the shitty ones will talk more about the "experience" they will provide, and do a bunch of virtue signalling.

Anyway, from your post it sounds like you already have a functioning bullshit detector so I don't see the problem.

Where do you live? This really will change what is available to you. Are you willing to move?

Look for things that are Ateliers or Academies if you want a more traditional learning experience, though a lot of them won't really leave you with many career opportunities afterwards.

The simplest is a literal description of what's in the image.
Then you could go beyond what's visible and hint to an underlying theme of the image or something that's related to what inspired you to paint it in the first place.
You could also think about the scene and what could happen in it, maybe what characters could say and then take something from that.
You might use the title to elaborate on the image or explain it.

If nobody enjoyed art, then humans would not have created art and then practiced it for generations in the first place. The very existance of art implies that humans do indeed find some art to be of equal or greater beauty when compared to nature.

Also, humans are part of nature, therefore our creations are a product of nature. And to imply that the creation of a human is somehow automatically lesser than everything else in nature is a logical fallacy.
